A Hurtful memory of Past

Mishi stood up from her chair as her eyes fell on Bai Lao and her boyfriend, Lui Lan. He works in SJ management and is the company's director. Mishi smiled, looking at them and waved at them.

On the other hand, Xian's facial colors blew off as he saw his love, Bai Lao, with the other man. He also got up from the chair.

"Bai Lao," Mishi called out her name and hugged her tightly. Mark came there when his eyes fell on Bai. He realized the situation wasn't good. He looked at Bai and then at the person standing beside her. He recognized them and held Xian's arm. "Let's go."

"It's good to see you, Mishi, after such a long time," Bai stated, releasing the hug and holding her hands.

"Me too. You're looking so beautiful," Mishi complimented her. Lui Lan congratulated her on getting a good job.

"Thanks, Lui Lan. So when are you two going to marry?" asked Mishi excitedly.

"No plans, Mishi," Bai Lao said, with a gentle smile. Xian couldn't believe that Bai was in front of him and wasn't even looking at him.

" I heard about your company's CEO, so where is he? I mean, I would like to meet him," murmured Lui Lan and smiled. Before, Mishi could make them meet Xian, Mark dragged Xian out of there. Mishi turned back and realized there was no one.

"Ms. Xin, the CEO, went home. You should leave too," said Li Wei, who came there at that moment.

"What?" Mishi exclaimed.

"It seems your boss doesn't like such events," Lui Lan deduced. Mishi smiled and said, "Sorry, I've to go. Do enjoy this party." Saying this Mishi, left the venue. She was climbing down the stairs while muttering, "How could he go home? My bag is in that car.

"They must be in parking. We can get your things," Li Wei offered her, and they walked towards the parking. They walked hurriedly towards the parking when Li Wei saw the car and stopped it by waving his hand. Mark stopped the car upon seeing Li Wei.

Mark opened the window glass and asked, "What happened?"

"Ms. Xin has her bag in the car," Li Wei informed Mark.

"Oh, Sorry. I didn't keep a check," Mark apologized to her.

She opened the back seat's door, and grabbed her bag. She was going to take her head out when her eyes fell on the front mirror, and she saw the red eyes of Xian.

"What happened to your eyes?" asked Mishi, looking at Xian through the front mirror.

"Are you asking me?" Mark asked.

"I am asking from Sir. His eyes are red. Are you okay, Sir?" asked Mishi again with a concerned look.

"Mishi, he has a problem in his eye," lied Mark as he wanted to take Xian away from that venue. She smiled hearing this and said, "You should get it checked by the doctor." She then took her head out.

"Yes, we're going there, Mishi. Ok, then–" Mark didn't even complete his words, when Xian cut him and said, "Mark, get out."

"Get out of the car," yelled Xian at him. Hearing his loud voice, Mishi interrupted, "Sir, why are you getting angry at him? He's just helping you."

"Get out, Mark. Mishi Xin, you get in the car," ordered Xian. Hearing him, Mark get out of the car. Mishi didn't listen to him and closed the back seat door.

Seeing this, Xian lost his temper. He got out of the car and stormed toward Mishi in anger. "Xian, Stop." Mark told him, but Xian didn't listen to him. He grasped Mishi's hand, and pushed her inside the car. Xian quickly got into the driver's seat.

Before Mishi could get out, he closed the doors and started the engine. Without wasting any second, he drove away from there. "Li Wei, where's your car?" asked Mark, and they both ran towards the car.

~~~~~~~
"What are you doing? Stop the car," shouted Mishi at him. She was no longer formal with him. Xian didn't listen to her and kept on driving rashly.
"Xian, stop the car. You're driving at high speed," Mishi told him, and she tightly grabbed the handle right above the window at the top of the window. He didn't listen to her and kept on driving. Mishi's phone started ringing, and she picked it up.
"Chang, I'll be late. Close the door from inside and eat your dinner," said Mishi and cut the call. Mishi kept requesting Xian to shop, but he ddidn't pay heed to her. He applied the brakes in front of his house. Mishi got frightened and said, "Sir, why are we here? I've to go home."
Mishi pushed the door from her side and stepped her foot out to run away.
Xian stood in front of her and grasped her arm tightly. He dragged her inside the house.
As they reached the living hall, he pushed her to the floor. Mishi got frightened and turned around. She again rose to her feet and asked Xian not to step forward. However, he didn't listen to her.
Her breath hitched when her back hit the wall behind her.
Xian grabbed her hands, and pinned them above her head. His face was dangerously close to her, and she could feel his breath fanning her lips.
"Leave me," Mishi urged him. "You are hurting me," she added.
Xian chuckled. "What about me, then? I also felt the pain when Bai Lao was smiling in front of me with the other man?" Xian growled at her. The pain was visible in his voice.
"What are you saying? Bai Lao loves Lui Lan. They both are made for each other," Mishi angrily said.
"Unbelievable. How could you act like a real actress? Tell me, why did you do this?" asked Xian in a loud voice.
"What did I do?" asked Mishi. Tears were streaming down her eyes. She twisted her wrists which Xian had gripped.
"You snatched my love from me," Xian affirmed, and his eyes turned misty. His grip loosened on Mishi's hands, who took it as a chance to run.
She kicked at his leg and tried to run when Xian pulled her back.
"You think you can run from here? I will ruin your life just like you did to me," Xian threatened her and then pushed her away.
Her back hit the end table behind her on which a flower vase was placed. It fell down and shattered into pieces. Mishi
Mishi fainted and fell to the floor. Her hands pierced with the broken pieces of glass vase.
"Mishi," Xian immediately got on his knees and lifted her body up. He looked at her bleeding hands and carried her up in his arms.
At that moment, Mark and Li Wei also reached. They rushed to Xian and saw the blood on the floor.
"Call the doctor," Xian told them and took Mishi upstairs. The doctor reached
in30 mins and treated Mishi's wounds.
"Miss Xin needs a good rest. I don't know how she is living but she's not taking her proper meals for a long time. It can impact her later so please take care of her. Here are the medicines I would recommend. These are the multivitamins supplements. I have also given painkillers, which she can take after having her meal." The doctor prescribed them. He had interjected the IV in Mishi's left arm and asked Xian to call him in the morning.
Li Wei took out the doctor from the room.
Xian folded his arms and looked at unconscious Mishi. Mark asked him why he did that.
"I could not hold my anger," Xian said.
"You are not supposed to harm her. She did nothing, Xian. Bai Lao was the one who cheated on you and walked out of your life. Why are you taking your anger out on Mishi?" Mark was annoyed at Xian, so he scolded him a lot.
"Mishi intervened that day," Xian said.
"So? She did as a friend. Can't you see her state? You know very well that how much she had suffered, yet you are adamant to torture her this way."
"I didn't mean to do it," Xian said and let out a frustrated sigh. "Go to her house. Her siblings are along. Stay with them tonight. You can scold me later," Xian stated.
Mark hummed and urged him not to harm Mishi anymore. "I will tell our Mom if you do it again," he warned him and left the room.
Xian settled on the mattress beside Mishi and took her small hands in his. "I don't know why I'm feeling guilty now. It's the second time I've lost my temper. Why do you have to be there that day? If you hadn't intervened that day then none of this would've happened today."
Mishi winced in pain in her sleep, so Xian caressed her head.
"Do...Don't.....un....uncle," Mishi murmured in her sleep, after a while. Xian kept caressing her head, and she stopped talking in her sleep.
"Who is her uncle?" Xian mumbled. After some time wwhen she turned stable, he went to the balcony.
He reminisced about the day from six years ago when he and Bai Lao were together.
"Xian, look at that star. If we make a wish, then it can come true," Bai Lao whispered near his ear.
"Bai Lao, I've heard that if we make a wish from a comet, then it comes true, not from some random star."
Bai scooped her hand around his arm of Xian lovingly and said, "just make the wish."
"Fine," Xian agreed to her, and closed his eyes. Suddenly Bai's lips landed on his lips, which made him open his eyes. She stepped back and said, "You wished for it, right?" and smiled.
Xian nodded, and they both kissed.
He let out a frustrated sigh and slammed his hand on the handrail.
"Why did you do that, Bai Lao?" Xian muttered, and kept gazing at the stars.
