16. Unexpected Meeting

Adrian left with his anger leaving the place. He was annoyed that he didn't want to see the intimacy between Zayn and Kirana anymore. When he got home, he became grumpy. The Sintia became the target of his irritation.

"Sin... Sintia!" shouted Adrian, calling his wife.

"What's wrong? Why shout?" Sintia, while approaching her husband.

"Where's my coffee?" asked Adrian.

"Patience, you've just arrived after all. I'll have the maid make coffee for you."

"Why a maid? Isn't that your duty as a wife?"

Hearing Adrian's voice, Sintia became emotional and raised her voice. "Why do you care about such a small thing?"

"Whatever, you won't understand! Adrian replied, going to the bedroom by slamming the door.

Sintia became irritated by Adrian's suddenly angry attitude. They are still considered newlyweds, but recently Adrian has always annoyed her. Sintia is increasingly convinced that her current attitude must be related to Kirana. She didn't want her to continue to overshadow her marriage to Adrian.

Sintia thought that she should immediately follow Julia's original plan for Kirana.

Kirana was lying on the bed while massaging her hands, which felt sore from work.

The new house she lived in was lonely, and memories of her time with her father and mother returned to her. In less than two months, her life changed drastically. Adrian, who betrayed him, her father, who was gone forever. And her mother, who had a mental disorder.

The pregnancy? Kirana doesn't know if she should be sad or happy with her pregnancy. Adrian clearly could not be responsible. The man even dodged. Kirana thinks can she raise her baby alone? Should she follow Angel's advice to have an abortion?

These questions worried Kirana even more, even though she had previously believed that she would give birth and raise her child. At this moment, no one could hear her complaint, no one comforted her, and no one embraced her. Again, she could only cry until Kirana fell asleep in a dream.

In the morning, Kirana is shocked. She is late. She quickly rushed to take a shower. No time for breakfast because it would be so late, she thought. She immediately left the house. When she locked it, she found Zayn already standing behind her.

"You're late, huh? I'll take you!" take Zayn.

With a smile, Zayn walked over to the motorbike on the side of the road, the same motorbike they first met.

Kirana smiled in relief; she then climbed onto Zayn's motorbike. She wondered why Zayn was always there when she was in a difficult situation. Even man can sometimes understand what is in her heart.

It didn't take them long to get to where Kirana worked. Kirana was a few minutes late.

"Thank you for dropping me off! You won't have to pick me up later! I promised to go home with Anita and the others."

"Okay!" Zayn replied.

Kirana entered in a hurry and passed Widia. Wide immediately scolded Kirana. "It's only your second day of work, but it's already late. You should at least arrive fifteen minutes earlier than your scheduled hours."

"I-I'm sorry! I promise I won't be late next time."

"Fine, I don't want to see you late again! Now hurry up and do your job!" said Widia. She left with a frown on her face.

According to Widia's orders, they began to do their respective tasks. "Hey! Why are you late? Must have stayed up late last night with your girlfriend, huh?" Anita joked along with other friends giggling.

"No, he's not my boyfriend. We're just friends," Kirana hurt.

"Oh yes?" Anita mocked.

"I'm telling the truth. He's just a friend."

Elsewhere, Adrian left without saying goodbye to Sintia. They were still mute to each other. Today Adrian decided to use a driver because he was tired of thinking too much about Kirana.

"Shall we go straight to the office, sir?" asked the driver.

"No, I have an appointment with my business partner," Adrian replied.

The car took them to where Adrian would meet his business partner. Adrian brought some required documents and got out of his car, and went inside.

When he walked through the lobby, Kirana was seen mopping the floor. They are not aware of each other. Kirana is focused on her work, as well as Adrian. Adrian entered the elevator to go up to the top.

"Excuse me. I was Adrian yesterday. I had an appointment with Mr. Riko for today." Adrian said to a secretary who was in front of Riko's room.

"Oh yes. Please, just come in! Mr. Riko is waiting," replied the secretary.

"Thank you," said Adrian. He went into the room appointed by the secretary

Kirana finished her job of mopping the floor. She returned to the pantry at home to join the others. At the same time, Riko's secretions came.

"Please deliver two coffees to Mr. Riko's room, now!" asked Secretary Riko.

"I don't want to go to Mr. Riko's room. Something must be wrong." Anita complained.

"Why?" asked Kirana, surprised.

"Mr. Riko is famous for being talkative. There is always something wrong in his eyes, no matter what he always comments on. We are lazy to deliver this coffee to his room."

"Then let me deliver the coffee," said Kirana.

"Are you sure? But don't be surprised when he comments on you!"

"Yeah, I'm sure, no problem!"

Kirana finally delivered the coffee to Riko's room. Very carefully, she brought two coffees on the tray so as not to spill on the rim of the glass because Riko didn't like it. They arrived before Riko's room and took a deep breath, hoping he wouldn't make a mistake.

Kirana knocked on the door then immediately opened the door. However, just as she was about to enter, a voice startled her.

"Who told you to come in? I haven't permitted you."

"I-I'm sorry," Kirana said with lowered head, not daring to look at the voice's owner. 'Woe,' she thought.

"Next time, if I haven't let you in, don't you dare come in! Bring the coffee over here!" Riko snapped.

"Okay, sir!" Kirana replied while lowering her head.

Kirana stepped on her feet with a slight tremor. She placed the coffee on the table between the two men facing each other. While keeping the two cups of coffee on the table, Kirana could feel the scent of someone she knew.

Kirana was shocked when she glanced at Adrian until the tray in her hand fell. Seeing that, the two men immediately looked at Kirana.

"Kirana!" whispered Adrian, surprised to see Kirana.
