(THIRD PERSON'S POV)
Rhea stood wide eyed at the Alpha's fury charged at her. A gasp was set in her throat but not a sound came from her. After a long and hard stare, she gave the Alpha a bow and then, she hurried out of the room quickly. The door slammed loudly behind her the moment she was out and it caused her to jump.
Rhea walked away as quickly as she could and in no time, she was down the stairs and past the hall, dashing towards the large front door as fast as she could when someone even faster stopped her by a mere grab of the arm.
Beta Steele had an inquisitive look on his face as he observed Rhea.
He had come to the mansion to meet with Alpha Aztec. and he had been told by the servants around that the Alpha was in a meeting. As he had seen her rushing out that he realized that it was the human Rhea who was in the meeting with the Alpha.
Steele observed that Rhea did not look pleased. She looked tensed and a little unhappy. Her forehead showed creases. He did not need to be given an idea of what had gone on in the room between the both of them.
"I see that the meeting did not go well with you two." He said to her as he let go of his hold of her.
His touch had not been harsh and neither was his voice. He sounded stern but he also looked like he was soft and more friendly, at least than the Alpha as Rhea thought.
"Was it so bad?" The Beta asked Rhea but she only looked at him and she did not say anything, she looked away after a bow to the Beta.
He sensed that she was not going to give him an answer and so he decided that he was going to just let her go, besides he was yet to meet the Alpha yet and to discuss properly with him.
"You shall be escorted home." Beta Steele said to Rhea as he saw that she did not intend to speak more.
"I appreciate it but I'm fine and I can return home on my own." Rhea boldly said but the Beta's eyes turned strict and dark.
"That was not a request." He said.
With that, he walked away back in the direction that Rhea had just hurried from.
It was the direction that was leading him towards the Alpha.
He walked towards the study room and let himself in without knocking or even announcing himself.
Aztec was fuming away at his desk as the memory of his recent meeting with the human replayed in his head. He looked up with a growl when Steele walked in. But he did not even say the usual scolding of Steele not knocking before entering.
He seemed to have a lot on his mind, Steele observed.
"Well what a day I am having!" He began lamenting in anger.
"What is going on?" Steele asked as he occupied the cushion that was close to where the Alpha sat.
"It's that human!" Aztec said angrily.
He would have never guessed how audacious and annoying this human called Rhea was. She made him want to yell and throw things on the ground. He stood up and began pacing about.
"The fucking nerve of it all!" He said
"Can you tell me what's going on?" Steele asked
"Yeah I'll tell you alright. She comes here feeling all high and confident with her own terms."
"Her own terms?" Steele repeated wanting more clarification on what was being spoken about.
"Yes. She wants her own terms attached to the contract." He said
"So, what is the big problem with that?" Steele asked and Aztec turned around slowly as if surprised him.
"She has no right to come with her own terms. Who the hell is she? Why does she think that she is so different."
Steele chuckled. "What made you say that? Did she tell you she is different? Or do you find her different?" He asked
Aztec gave a rude snort. "There's nothing about her! What? Or is it because she is an heiress?" He said
Steele burst in to laughter then and Actec growled at him angrily.
"What is the matter with you today?" He asked him angrily
"She is supposed to be an heiress but look at the way she is dressed and poor." Steele said. "That can't be a reason."
"Well then why the hell is she acting like some kind of privileged person making decisions and demands?" Aztec said angrily.
He had a lot of thoughts passing through his mind but Steele once again burst in to laughter and made him turn angrily at his friend.
"Oh I'm so sorry! I've never seen you this tied up about a female before." He said nodding his head.
"What the fuck do you mean by tied up? I'm not tied up, she is just annoying." He said.
"All she did was give you terms. Or did you talk about something else." Steele said and then he sat up slowly as if to look at the Alpha's face properly .
" There's something else isn't there? What was your response to her?" He asked with inquisition in his eyes.
"I don't care about what she thinks. We are getting married by force." Aztec announced.
Steele sat back then and he tapped his chin with his fingers thoughtfully.
"Don't you think that can make her maybe kill herself or something?" He asked
"She won't do that. I have to save my people as fast as I can. All these damned talk between us is wasting time. I don't fucking want to marry her either so what is she saying? Why is she acting like she is better than me. Like I am lower than her?" He said angrily.
"I have no idea." Steele chose to say, he had a more suited answer. But he decided to keep quiet.
"Well, we have work to do so we better get going. We have to meet with the former Gamma immediately. We need to see the sorceress about the recent happenings." Aztec said in a gruff tone
"Yeah I know, that's why I'm here. But I think I want to eat first. I'm starving." Steele said.
"I need some time too. I need to have a good fuck!" He said with anger and annoyance still rumbling in his mind.
