The Reborn Villainess Wants Revenge

She was cheated on, betrayed, and trampled on. And when she wanted payback for it, she was named a vicious woman, killed off by her ex-fiancé who cruelly threw her in the ocean. Only after her death did she learn this was a world in the novel. Her ex-fiancé and his lover were the main characters. As for her, she was the villainess. She found it laughable. But she wouldn't be Lilah Campbell if she gave up even after that miserable end. The only reason she lost last time was because of not being wicked enough. This time around, she will be worse, crushing those trashes into smithereens by stomping on them while laughing at them. For that, she needed Noah Black. The mysterious Noah Black operated in the dark. On the surface, he owned a tea room, but underneath that, he solved cases for his customers at a hefty cost furtively. And he was the villain. What could be better than the villain and villainess teaming up to take down the main characters? Will they be able to destroy the main characters? Who was Noah Black?

The Headache

"And this is your office, Ms. Lilah," Emily said, pushing the door. "Ah, my mistake. I should call you CEO Lilah. Pardon me?"

Lilah glanced at Emily, not knowing what to make of her. The woman acted weirdly, but she didn't think much of it.

Next, she entered her office. Her eyes swept over the place. The room was neat and plain, showing how the previous owner had no exquisite taste.

Albeit being a little boring, she could make do with it for now.

She walked over to the desk and saw the nameplate. Her name along with her position was printed on it. Pulling the chair back then, she sat down on it.

Her cat-like, sharp eyes fell on Emily, bringing forth an imposing air.

"Get me all relevant documents related to the recent development of  Iris. Also, get the accountant here," Lilah ordered.

"Yes, CEO Lilah. Got it."

"And get me orange sherbet from Marilyn."

Once she was out of the door, all the other employees eagerly surrounded her, asking her questions they were curious about for a long while.

"Is she is really planning to stay here as the CEO?" one asked.

"Should be. She asked me to get the documents. And, Ashton, you, she called for you in her office."

"Really? Do you think her being here would get us funds?"

"I do not know about that, but let's be optimistic." Emily smiled.

"Tch! That young miss, I have heard a lot of things about her, and none of that indicated she is good at working."

"Now, now, she is our boss now. Let's just trust her. And, Leah, CEO Lilah wants orange sherbet from Marilyn."

"Orange sherbet? At this time?" Leah started at Emily in confusion.

Leah smiled and shrugged her shoulders.

"That's what the CEO wants."

°°°

It was almost ten at night by the time Lilah shut down the computer. She dismissed the employees earlier, knowing the company wouldn't be able to pay for their overtime work.

The table had wrappers of various snacks on it. She gathered them and threw them in the trash can before entering the washroom to clean herself up and fix her make-up.

Next, she picked up her bag and stepped out of the office when it fell to her attention that the lights and air conditioning was still running.

Not being able to shoulder this unnecessary electricity cost, she moved to turn them off.

By the time she drove herself home, she was exhausted beyond measure. She badly wanted to take a warm and relaxing bath, while the aroma from scented candle floated in the background.

After that, she wanted to dive into her soft and fluffy comforter. As the warmth enveloped her, she wanted to drift into her dreamland.

Pushing open the door, she stepped out of the car and stretched her arms. When she stepped into the mansion, loud shouts spread through the place.

"What a fucking country bumpkin! I already told you to not enter my room and touch my things! Now, get out from my face! Don't you think you have done enough damage?"

Listening to Sylvia's shrilly voice made Lilah press on her forehead, feeling the headache incoming. After a long day, this drama wasn't what she wanted to deal with.

Trace of annoyance crossed through her eyes.

She hoped Jamie would settle the matters of her apartment soon.

Lilah wished to go to her room unnoticed. But that wasn't fulfilled.

Sylvia called, "Lilah, you are home! Finally! I already had it enough with this country bumpkin here today. You won't believe—"

Sylvia stepped forward, about to hug her arm, when Lilah prevented that by pressing her palm on her shoulder and pushing her back. Lilah stepped back to create distance between them.

Her eyes widened, and Sylvia was baffled. The atmosphere suddenly turned awkward. Sylvia wasn't used to being treated so coldly by Lilah.

But Lilah remained indifferent to the various emotions flashing through her eyes.

Lilah glanced behind, and there was Alicia standing. Her eyes were reddened and teary. She had a slouched posture, and her hands trembled.

This easily invoked a sense of pity within others, wanting to comfort the distressed beauty.

Sylvia's expression cracked as she uttered, "Lilah?"

"Move back and talk," Lilah said, not hiding her disdain.

Sylvia showed an aggrieved expression. However, seeing how Lilah remained unaffected, she had no choice but to abide by her words.

It only took her a few seconds to fix her emotions to rather jolly mood. With great anticipation, she brought up, "Lilah, I have this club activity tomorrow. Can you drive me to the place?"
