The Reborn Villainess Wants Revenge

She was cheated on, betrayed, and trampled on. And when she wanted payback for it, she was named a vicious woman, killed off by her ex-fiancé who cruelly threw her in the ocean. Only after her death did she learn this was a world in the novel. Her ex-fiancé and his lover were the main characters. As for her, she was the villainess. She found it laughable. But she wouldn't be Lilah Campbell if she gave up even after that miserable end. The only reason she lost last time was because of not being wicked enough. This time around, she will be worse, crushing those trashes into smithereens by stomping on them while laughing at them. For that, she needed Noah Black. The mysterious Noah Black operated in the dark. On the surface, he owned a tea room, but underneath that, he solved cases for his customers at a hefty cost furtively. And he was the villain. What could be better than the villain and villainess teaming up to take down the main characters? Will they be able to destroy the main characters? Who was Noah Black?

Even If The World Is Against Her

Once Sylvia rushed off to her friends, Lilah was about to drive away when she spotted the ice-cream store a couple of metres away. Her craving made it difficult for her to leave.

Pushing open the door, she stepped out of the car. She was about to walk towards the ice-cream shop when she bumped against few boxes.

Reflexively, she raised her hand to hold the boxes to support them before they fell on the ground. Once they stabilized, the girl holding on to them bend her neck to look at Lilah.

Those stack of boxes obscured her vision.

Her eyes widened for a second before she smiled sweetly and said, "Thank you. Are you hurt? I am so sorry. I have a lot to carry here and couldn't see you."

Lilah arched her eyebrows.

A pair of bright purple eyes, black curtain bangs that neatly fell on her forehead, streaks of blue and silver running through her shaggy black hair, chubby cheeks tinted red, adorning silver jewelries, bearing a height of about 159 centimeters— Lilah recognized the small girl from the description written on the pages.

How adorable.

"Need help?" she questioned.

The girl appeared startled as if not expecting her to offer help.

This made Lilah amused.

Did she look that hostile?

"That won't do. I will only be troubling you. I can handle this."

The girl pursed her lips into a thin line and took in a deep breath, puffing up her cheeks more.

"Treat me to ice-cream in return."

She pointed towards the shop.

Why did it sound as though she was harassing the girl?

But it seemed that the girl didn't think of it that way. She grinned wide and nodded.

"Then, thank you. I am Ellie."

"Lilah."

Lilah grabbed two of the boxes next, making it easy for Ellie to look forward. She followed after the young girl, transporting the boxes to where they were needed.

°°°

Lilah was going through the documents in her office when her phone rang due to the incoming call from Jamie. She stretched out her slender and fair hand to reach the device.

She received the call.

"I saw few apartments for you. When are you going to go through them?" Jamie said.

"Now," she stated.

With that, she closed the document and grabbed her jacket hanging on the chair. Then, she began to wear it while kicking the chair forward with her leg.

"Now? Eh? But I am a little busy," Jamie hesitantly responded.

"It should be nothing important. Cancel it."

"Lilah, seriously, can you be more considerate? What do you mean not serious? You are so rude! Do you think I will be at your beck and call? I have my rights too. This—"

Lilah cut her off.

"Are you coming or not?"

Jamie sighed.

"Coming. Coming. Who told me to be your friend? You don't even appreciate me enough after everything I do for you. Who is willing to be—"

"Cut the crap. You can have my card for a day," Lilah stated.

Jamie cleared her throat.

"Just to be clear, I don't care about money. Am I that superficial friend? Obviously, I am the loyal type. But you know, it would be unfair to myself if I worked hard without being rewarded. You totally get that, right?" Jamie couldn't hide her joy in her voice.

One should know that Lilah gave her unlimited budget everytime she handed her the card, and since there was no possiblity of Lilah ever running out of money, she wasn't generous with spending it as well.

Even though Jamie tried to extort money and benefits from her on daily basis, giving impression of their friendship being shallow, when Lilah was in her worst times, she never turned her back on Lilah.

Money was easy to earn for her, but the same can't be said for people's loyalty and sincerity.

Jamie understood the reasons behind her actions until the end and never condemned her by calling her a vicious woman.

The content of the novel degraded Jamie, calling her a brainless follower of hers. And knowing they were very much in line with the main characters' thought process, it aggravated her.

Clearly, Jamie was someone with her own thoughts. It is just the arrogance of the main characters to think they were the ones in the right. Anyone being against them are automatically considered to be villains.

At the end of day, even if the entire world was against her, she knew that Jamie would have her back and understand her.

That was enough for Lilah.

"I will let uncle know that you are having too much free time these days."
