The Rebirth Of A Vengeful Heiress

Blurb: “Your Alpha thinks a wolfless girl can’t be the Luna.” Rachael replied. “My Alpha had suggested more suitable options should stay around Alpha Sebastian till he makes a decision.” My heartbeat quickened as anger rose from my stomach at being called a wolfless girl again. Can’t be a Luna? I snapped my head to Alpha Sebastian and he didn’t even look at me. Suitable options? Decision? My fists clenched. “What decision—” Alpha Sebastian left his seat suddenly and I stepped back on impulse. His gaze finally landed on me and a suppressed whimper left me. His blue eyes slowly darkened to red. “Seraphina Renaud. I, Sebastian Theroes, hereby break the betrothal engagement I made with you on 27th of December, 2021.” Alpha Sebastian said flatly, not even bothering to spare me a glance. ~~~ Everything changed after her parents died. Seraphina Jones once lived in peace within her pack as the daughter of a multi-millionaire despite being a wolfless girl, but when she had nothing else to offer, she became the general object of ridicule. Still, she had persevered because of her love for her Alpha and being his betrothed, she planned to pay back all who humiliated her when she’d become his Luna. Yet one fateful day, her fragile heart was cruelly broken by the man who was to protect her and she’s ridiculed by her pack once again. Trying to escape their scorned looks, she got into an accident that ended her life. In a fortunate string of event, Seraphina Jones got reborn to three years before her rejection and demise. Changing the events of the future was a must and revenge of the pack who scorned her was in order. She made up her mind not to fall in love recklessly and to build her own empire. Meeting the sarcastic wealthy rogue and getting a found family were blessings she only found in her new life. However, what she didn’t know was that the events of her new life had taken a very drastic change from her previous life after her return.

Handsome Jerk I

Chapter Three:

Seraphina's POV

I had stayed in the darkness, before I felt a biting cold on my body. Why did I feel cold when my body should be burning? The pain got severe and I moved.

Why did my body still move? I jolted awake. My breathes were heavy but there was no sweat on my body. I was outside in the night and there was a snow storm.

My brain tried to articulate all that had happened but I couldn't remember. For starters, it was during summer that I was tricked and killed along with Samira. Did fall come quickly and my body didn't rot? Was I really not burnt?

"You made it too?"

I froze, hearing Samira's voice in my head. Inexplicable joy rose in my chest at the thought that she was safe. She would've died along with me if death really came for us but hearing her in my thoughts made me really relieved.

"Death really came for us." She said.

My expression changed and I looked behind me. Her fur was still as white as snow, and she was undisturbed by the weather. Her blue eyes pierced into mine and I stretched my hand towards her.

She winced when I touched her and I retracted my hand, sensing there was an injury on her neck. I checked it and my brows knitted together.

"Samira, isn't this the exact injury you got back then..." I looked around. "Aren't we... did you just fight a bear?"

She licked the blood off my hand and nodded. "Our souls seemed to have gone back to three years ago after we died. I had been killed by hunters that barged into the garage. We returned to when we got lost in the snow storm."

I rubbed the part of her neck that wasn't injured while staring intently at her injury, hoping it'd disappear. So we were reborn?

I've read books, those exciting face slapping books were one of my favourites because I saw the female leads doing things that I could only dream of doing.

But not anymore.

My teeth chattered as the cold kept seeping into of me. From what I remembered, in about twenty minutes, the snow storm would get worse and five minutes later, I'd be found by Alpha Sebastian.

That was the first time we had any interaction and by saving my life, he had stolen my heart.

"He shouldn't save me." I said.

Samira hummed, instantly knowing what I meant. During this time, I had just heard about my father's death and ran out in tears. My heart felt heavy as I remembered it.

What I've seen after those three years had been worse than losing my family because it was complete isolation from my race as a werewolf, because I couldn't shift to a wolf.

"I should leave before the snowstorm get worse. If I'm lucky, I'd find the party that said they were looking for me before the Alpha found me." I told my wolf.

She had stayed back in the cave in my last life because she could move by herself. She was injured and couldn't escape with me. Also, I wouldn't survive if I had left with her, or so I had thought.

"You are injured, stay and rest. I'd handle myself." I was very aware that my current body wasn't like my future self that I trained in martial arts to impress Alpha Sebastian.

Yet, I knew I had to make a move to try changing the future even if a little bit. I did not want to be rejected, only to be killed and burned with Samira. Something had to change.

Cold air left my mouth and my teeth felt like they'd fall off as I trudged past the trees towards our pack. I had no idea where I'd find help but past the forest should be an abandoned bungalow that an official rogue lived in.

Half an hour later, I sighted the bungalow and despite my bones being stiff, I forced them to run towards the house. The rogue's name was Smith, wasn't it? Some omega girls spoke about how he helped them drive through the forest when it rained.

I banged on the door and wrapped my hand around my body as I waited for a reply. The door opened and I flew inside first to get a little bit of warmth.

"S-Sir, thank you, thank you for—"

I turned to him and my jaw dropped. My ears reddened and my head snapped to the other side. I had caught him in a bad time. He was actually a young muscular man, with a towel wrapped around his waist and bare chested.

His body was also wet so he must've left the bathroom now. So a dripping wet muscular handsome man in a warm room. It wasn't really a bad thing to barge into.

My head slowly lowered and it suddenly became hard to speak. I could still feel his cold stare on me. "S-Sorry, I was cold... but thank you for opening the door—"

"I didn't." He said gruffly. "You barged in."

I frowned a bit but didn't raise my head. Would he had preferred the police coming to his door to ask him about a body they found around his place? "Thank you, and sorry."

He sighed and returned to his room.

I turned to the fireplace and relaxed, feeling relieved that I wasn't thrown out. The place looked like an antique store and there were pictures of muscular men on his wall.

My connection with Samira broke at that point and it told me that she had moved further away from me, possibly heading to our home. At least, she'd be safe.

Last time, she only left when Alpha Sebastian had gone with me. A small smile came to my face at the realisation that I had changed the future a bit. I'd have to start my training and personal growth as well.

The young man came out of the room again and with a warm blanket. I smiled and stretched my hand to receive it but he plopped down on his couch and wrapped it around himself. What the hell?

He looked up and his green eyes held disgust for a slight second, before he looked down again. "When you get warm enough, make sure you leave."

I was taken aback, not because I hadn't experienced such indifference before but because he didn't have any reason to show it to me. At least, he didn't know that I was actually a wolfless orphan.

"Sure. I'm grateful for the hospitality." I said sarcastically.

He nodded. "You should be." He flipped through his books.

That warmed my body enough. If Samira was already gone and Alpha Sebastian didn't save me, then the future had been changed. My pack wasn't far from here so I could manage to get there.

I stormed to the door and opened it. I took one look at the 'disappointedly rude for a handsome face' man, before stepping out of his place.

"And I thought Alpha Sebastian was the only handsome jerk I knew." I rolled my eyes.

But three steps after, and my body froze.

Ahead, only ten steps ahead, he was standing out in the snowstorm with an umbrella. Alpha Sebastian appeared the exact same way he had done the last time.

His blue eyes shifted to where I came out from, then back to me. Silence lingered between us.

"Are you Seraphina Jones?" He finally asked with a raised voice so I'd hear him. "You are supposed to be lost in the snowstorm, not at a man's house."

A scowl came to my face. What did he mean by 'in a man's house'? Why did I even meet him again? Was this the route he followed to save me last time?

My chest constricted. I wasn't ready to meet him again.
