70- Trivial Problem Solving

It had been a while since Calvin cleared Learner's misunderstanding but she was still looking at him weirdly, but he didn't care, he already told her that he was alright with his size and height of 'totally not' average 1.76 meters.

But now that he thought about height, he realized that Learner was pretty tall for a woman, reaching 1.7 meters 'Maybe she copied my gifted genetics too?'

That's right, he had won the genetic lotto or at least, most of it… mostly reflected on his body and his capacity to understand foreign concepts with ease.

He shook his head and chuckled at the stupid concept of genetic lotto. In a world like his, luck was optional, you could say it was just a little extra, the cherry on top if you may.

Suddenly, a loud thud brought him out of his train of thought, he looked around and saw a dozen sacks full of magic stones, and above one of them was Wiene, flapping her wings and looking at him with a smile while her long claws were soaked in and dripping blood making the sight a bit gruesome.

But he didn't care, he had to admit that Wiene was really cute, her angelic face was all that mattered, he did not mind the very sharp claws that could slice him in half were she to hug him strong enough.

She then descended in front of him "I did what you asked me to do, big brother!"

He glanced at her and then at the sacks of magic stones 'So fast?'

When they just came to the dungeon, they killed every monster that came but eventually monsters stopped aiming for them, so, Wiene became his little hunter, being able to hear things all around the floor made her perfect for the job.

So, Wiene guided them to every monster that she heard, but he realized that she could kill those monsters just fine, so he let her do it alone and gave her the order to 'Kill every monster in the vicinity'

And that was no small task either, taking into account that the forest was at least a few kilometers wide, it was needless to say that he was quite impressed with Wiene's performance.

So, he chose to reward her with a pat on the head "You did great"

Meanwhile, Wiene looked at him with sparkling eyes 'Big brother's gentle touch!'

He then looked at the sacks in front of him 'Now… how do we get all of this to the surface?' and with a hand on his chin, he began thinking about different possibilities.

They could just somehow take them all in one go but that seemed almost impossible, he could carry 2, maybe 3 at most, Wiene was around the same, and Learner… she might be able to carry all of them with magic, but that would take too much effort and she might run out of magic halfway up.

He could also make a giant bag and carry that one around… no, that would be way too ineffective and silly… if I could somehow reduce that giant bag's size…

'hmm… less size and more space… just like those storage skills, the book that stored objects in pages, and the one that turned them to dust… sadly I don't think I can get [Abyssal Alchemy] here' He then widened his eyes in realization. 'What if I make my own storage skill!? Or at least engineer one with my current skills'

He took a glance at his status and checked the skill that was going to help him accomplish this task.

He then looked around trying to find something, something that would challenge his copying skills.

And eventually, his gaze landed on his sword, something manufactured by a professional, something that he didn't know the inner workings of… that was the perfect object.

He stretched his arm while activating his skill, and, with a white flash, an identical sword appeared in his hand.

Pushing the small button on the handle nothing happened he couldn't even press it, as if it was part of the handle and not a mechanism. 'That was to be expected… let's try again with a little more detail…'

He threw the sword to the side and created another one, this time, the button fell off, as it wasn't attached to anything. 'Hm… the skill takes my knowledge on the object as a basis… so the more I know about the object the better the copy is… and the level of the skill determines how much of the object I need to know about to make a perfect copy…'

[39/42]

He sighed heavily "This is going to take a while" closing his eyes and imagining the inner workings of the sword.

Wiene, that had grabbed the sword that Calvin threw a few moments ago got closer to Calvin intrigued at what he was doing but decided not to ask as he seemed to be deep in thought.

I'm back! sorry for taking such a long break, my life is going through a theoretical tornado of problems and variables and I have so many choices that may improve my life or take it for the worse.

So, I was thinking of opening a pa t r e ò n for those who wanted to help me, just donations no extra chapters or anything just plain charity.

And for those who are thinking 'Where's the rewrite of the first chapters?' I genuinely can't read them without feeling cringy and shameful (they're really bad) and I feel like I'm still not experienced enough to make them right, so that'll be somewhere in the future.

Uploads are still once per week either Sundays or Mondays.

That's all, I hope you liked the chapter and see you later.
