69- Yours is...

"Here brother!" said Wiene as she handed Calvin a handful of magic stones.

Calvin smiled and patted her on the head "Thanks"

Wiene accepted his pats with an innocent chuckle before extending her wings and flying off into the forest in search of more monsters.

Calvin then turned around and took out a paper that read:

'Materials = 200M

Forging = 300M

Calvin sighed, wishing that he had put more attention to Kala's lessons on economics "Haaah… At least she wasn't as soulless as I thought and gave me a discount for healing her curse…, but it's still a lot of money"

Suddenly, the ground trembled making Calvin look around the sea of trees.

In the distance, he spotted a big boar monster about 2 meters tall.

Calvin's eyes sparkled as he smiled "Big magic stone in sight"

The monster growled furiously and ran towards Calvin.

And as the monster approached, Calvin's left hand reached into his scabbard and gripped a sword 'Glad I took this from home before coming to the dungeon'

He took out the sword a waved it in the air a few times making himself comfortable with the new sword and his non-dominant arm "Alright, Let's see how you fare"

As he said that, he pushed the button on the side of the handle and with a click, the blade of the sword separated into segments.

He then coated his arm and the sword with [Bent Hardening] and waited for the boar to reach him, hopping over its head into its back and swinging the whip.

The segments separated even more due to the force of the swing and a thin metal cable could be seen holding the segments together, the whip-blade reaching 3 meters in length.

The whip latched onto the boar's side and looped around it twice before getting stuck.

However, the boar didn't stop its run, almost taking the sword out of Calvin's grip, and just as he was about to say something he quickly dodged a branch that was coming straight to his face "Wha-? Whoa!"

As the boar was taking him for a ride, Calvin was trying to split the boar in half by pulling the whip, something that proved to be very hard as he could only use one of his hands "Gods dammit! I need more strength"

L-shaped horns sprouted from his head, his constitution becoming bulkier as well, he then started pulling on the sword once again making it budge a little. "Still not enough?! Just how thick is your damm skin?"

'Let's see, I need something bigger, hmm… Ah! How did I forget about this guy…?' As he was remembering the strongest monster he had defeated, another branch came flying and slapped him right on the face "Ah!"

Calvin caressed his face which now had a red mark over his nose, his eyes narrowed with silent anger "If it wasn't because I want to experiment with my other skills you would've been dead already. Enough playing"

As the skill activated, his horns disappeared while the roots of his hair began to turn white, his bulky body compressing until he was just like before.

He flexed his arm and smiled pleased at the new strength "That's what I'm talking about!" he then pulled on the sword, he could feel how the downwards-pointing segments dug into the boar's skin and started to rip into it.

The boar squealed in pain before Calvin pulled with even more force, slicing the boar in half before it exploded into a black mist leaving behind one of its tusks and a pretty sizeable magic stone.

Calvin saw the system notifications and waved them off, before focusing on his body 'What's this feeling? I feel strong, yet there's a faint desire to punch stuff, to… kill with my very hands…' he clenched his fist strongly, marking the veins on the surface of his arm.

Calvin then widened his eyes at a sudden realization 'Wait a minute, System! Does [AMI] also give me the monster's psychological traits?'

[Affirmative]

Calvin hunched a little and rolled his eyes. 'Should have guessed, nothing is that easy' he then looked around and just noticed that his bandaged arm was smoking. 'The hell?' and he also noticed how the ground seemed to be further away. 'Wait what?'

He just realized that he was taller, way taller than before, around 2 meters he would say 'Alright… this doesn't explain the smoking arm tho'

He took out the bandages on his right arm and saw how the red cracks around it were smoking. 'Could it be…?' he tried moving his arm by bending his elbow.

But that proved to be an error as an instant later he felt several of his muscles tearing apart, the insane pain bringing him to his knees while gripping his upper arm trying to block those electric shocks that brought him pain.

He writhed on his knees for a couple of minutes, shutting his eyes closed, trying to escape from the pain, and biting his lips to not scream.

He then noticed how the cracks on his arm seemed to smoke more than before as a numbing sensation began washing away the pain making him slowly open his eyes 'Is it healing?'

He grabbed a nearby rock and shaped it into a small dagger, he brought it closer to his thigh and had the urge to just plunge it deep into his leg, but he stopped himself before doing so. 'Damm, those are some urges, then again that goliath seemed to want to destroy everything' he shook his head and made a small cut on his thigh.

And seconds later it started smoking, stopping only when the cut completely healed a moment later. 'Oh… I remember now, that black goliath had some crazy regeneration but it doesn't seem to work on my arm though'

He got up and thought about dispelling [AMI] but he wanted to check one last important thing. so, he stretched his pants and looked inside before nodding and dispelling [AMI]

"Are you done?"

"AH!" He jumped at the sudden voice coming from behind him and dispelled [AMI] making his hair and height turn back to normal.

He turned around and saw Learner, sighing at her bad habit of appearing out of nowhere "Ah… it's just you…"

She walked closer, bringing a sack full of magic stones with her, she then looked at him and caressed his chest "Don't worry, yours is really big"

Calvin just looked at her weirdly thinking that she might have gotten the wrong idea.
