53- How did that get there?

When the light receded, Wiene had changed.

She now looked like a 14-year-old, the scales on her body became more prominent and her nails had grown exponentially, almost reaching 30cm in size.

Along with all those changes, the most striking difference where the 2 Large wings that protruded from her back, almost doubling her size.

'I'm… stronger…?' She thought feeling her own body.

She saw her hands and grimaced at the sight; how can she stay with them if she is always hurting them?

Suddenly her claws retracted, leaving pointy nails behind.

She looked at this with amazement as a smile formed on her face, after which she felt something heavy on her back, looking backward, she saw her wings.

Big wings that looked like a bat's, she moved them around trying to get used to the feeling of her new appendage.

After she felt comfortable with her body, she launched herself forward in Calvin's direction and hugged him with all her newly found strength.

"Thank you! Big brother!" She exclaimed.

'what the…? Just how strong did you get?' he thought feeling his ribs creak at the sheer strength that Wiene was exerting.

"Alright, alright, let go" he ordered, making her stop hugging him and take a step back, although still looking at him with unbound happiness.

"Let's just go have some breakfast while you show everybody your new form" he said walking through the door.

Needless to say, everyone was surprised to see Wiene's new look.

"Where is Hestia?" Calvin asked, seeing her absence.

"She got called by the guild, I think it has something to do with the Rivira incident" Bell stated.

Meanwhile, at the guild in a particular room, there was a big table, and around it were all the gods of Orario.

"As you might probably know by now, there's a little bit of a problem going on in the dungeon" The guild master said to the gods.

"Yeah, yeah, skip the talk about the friendly monsters and go to the point" Loki said while sitting cross-legged on her seat.

The guild master sighed before continuing "These friendly monsters, call themselves the 'Xenos' and their objective is… well Coexistence"

"I don't get it, why call us here if the dungeon is none of our business?" Freya asked with her ever-present tone of superiority.

"The thing is that according to adventurers who have talked to these 'Xenos' they also want to come here to the surface" The Guild master explained making the gods look at each other making silence fill the room.

"I don't see a problem with It, we could even hire them to work for us" Hephaestus broke the silence with a bold idea.

"I-I also think that it's alright to let them come-" Hestia said in a low tone but was cut off by a god wearing a white tunic with golden details.

"Hahaha! What an idea! Maybe I could make prosthetics for them? Or even open a new selection for those who want a monster-type appendage! I can't even imagine the profits!" Diancetch approved Ephaestus's idea.

"I guess it would also help my business" Miach said earning a chuckle from Dian.

"As long as I can speak to their leader, I don't see the problem" takemikazuchi added.

"AMAZING! AMAZING! NEW SPECTATORS AND FIGHTERS! I AM GANESHAAAA!!!!" the god of the masses shouted but ever but everyone ignored him.

After a long discussion between Gods, the Guild was asked to arrange a meeting between the gods of Orario and the leaders of the Xenos.

After breakfast, Calvin returned to his room and locked the door, he wanted to do something for a while now.

Unlocking his safe he took out the folder that Hermes gave him.

"Let's see what the hell he wants me to do…" Opening the folder there were various notes and drawings.

'After knowing that nobody else had the courage to challenge the third calamity, I, Zeus along with Hera went to the Dungeon aiming to finally defeat the One-eyed dragon.

But I would have never thought that the dungeon's might could be this atrocious, past the 55th floor the monsters just got stronger and stronger to the point of us having to make a plan to take down a single one with the help of everyone.

This however didn't stop our mission, as we were venturing deeper into the 59th floor we found a secret passage, it led to some sort of door that I had never seen before, no matter what we did to it, the door stayed closed, we'll come back here another time'

And with that end Calvin looked at the drawing below the text and saw a big door, made out of metal, it seemed to be incrusted in the Dungeon wall itself, and on the frame of the door there was a black sphere.

'Wait a minute…is that?' he recalled that door style 'it's a [Bent] activated door'

"How did it get there? I'll have to check it out but it's at the 59th floor… it'll take a while" he made a mental note to remember that when he gets there.

Suddenly someone knocked on the door.

"Calvin? Are you there? Ais is at the door, she wants to talk with you" Bell said through the door.

'What timing, whatever, I'll read the rest later' putting everything back in the folder and returning it to the safe, and before locking the safe his gaze directed towards the killings stone that he had in a padded box.

'Maybe I can do something with you with the skills I have… dammit! I should've gotten [Alchemy] first!' he cursed locking the safe.

Meeting with Ais she came because she wanted to spar.

"Did you have to come here personally?" Calvin asked, not seeing any reason for her to come since he would go spar with her every now and then.

"Yes, I wanted to try something" she said with her usual expressionless face, although it somehow felt more lively than usual.

"Then do you want to spar here? We might not have a fancy training ground but the backyard is big enough"

"Hm, there's no problem" she nodded.

In the backyard, Calvin and Ais were in front of each other while the rest of the Familia watched from the side.

"Alright let's begin" Calvin said getting in a stance and making a less mortal copy of Cursed Gram, as he can't copy the magic properties of objects, the curse along with its Magical properties are missing.

"Ariel" She chanted as her body got surrounded by wind.

"Woah! Is that elemental armor?" he gasped, the skills that his system provided were op as hell but they were too boring!

If you do this something else happens, or if this happens you can do this… and on and on, but they were always missing a key factor.

The flashiness!

You can't have a cool-sounding spell without a flashy execution.

That was one of the factors that led him to learn magic, after all, he was tired of the usual sword and shield, bow and arrow, crossbow and bolt, and the very rare and expensive, 'guns' that were being manufactured overseas, he once got his hands on one of these 'muskets' and was disappointed at its performance, he could make it better but it would still be the same 'throw scrap metal at high speeds' there was no soul to it!
