'A [Card Master]?'

This one line glowed in green, the [Thug] class was white, while the rest were blue.

I guess it was because it was a Rare grade. I then looked at the class description from the top to bottom.

[Thug] (Trash)

[Brute fighting at the front of a battle, expendable members of a party that can be easily replaced. After changing to this class, you will only gain basic knowledge on using blunt weapons such as clubs and maces. Afterward, you will be able to unlock other melee classes such as, [Gangster], [Mercenery], and more. Strength +1.]

[Warrior] (Common)

[A capable warrior is a must-have for every party. After changing to this class, you will gain basic knowledge on using all kinds of melee weapons such as swords, spears, axes, and so on. Afterward, you will be able to unlock other melee classes, such as [Barbarian], [Knight], [Paladin], [Cavalryman], and more. Strength +1, Endurance +1, Agility +1.]

[Archer] (Common)

A class that specializes in ranged attacks. After changing to this class, you will gain basic knowledge on using bows and arrows. In addition to being able to unlock adjacent class paths such as [Thief] and [Assassin], you will also have a chance to advance to a higher grade [Archer] class such as [Tracker] or [Magic Archer], and more. Agility +3.

[Mage] (Common)

[A class that specialized in long-range with the ability to use magic. After changing to this class, you will gain basic knowledge on using magic. Afterward, you can unlock other classes such as [Elemental Mage], [Alchemist], or [Summoner]. Magic +3.]

Except for the [Thug] class, the next three classes did not look bad.

Picking the [Warrior] class would help me improve the three stats that were the most difficult to raise for him. While choosing [Archer] was also appealing as someone like him was not suited for close combat and would allow him to gain knowledge on ranged weapons.

Whereas, picking the [Mage] class would finally increase my pathetic Magic power from zero.

However, what I was most curious about was the Rare class [Card Master]

[Card Master] (Rare)

[A Rare class that involves the usage of a Deck of Cards. This Deck has a total of 54 Cards. Each card possesses different powers. If you choose this class, you gain basic knowledge on using magic. and basic telekinesis magic. Afterward, you can unlock other classes such as [Card Emperor] and more. Magic +2, Luck +3.]

'Perfect'

No matter how I looked at it, the [Card Master] class was tailor-made for me. Not only did it increase my already high Luck stat, but it also improved the Magic stat that had been worrying me.

"It seemed you unlocked your class"

"Yes"

For this guy, who already knew what path he would take in the future, choosing a class was just a formality. But, for me, it was a matter that would significantly affect my future.

"If you don't mind, can I ask what class you chose?"

After thinking about it I decided to be open with him.

"I haven't chosen anything yet, I have five options, A Trash grade [Thug], Common grade [Warrior], [Archer], [Mage], and also a Rare grade [Card Master] class."

As soon as finished speaking, I noticed his eyes widen a little, but they quickly went back to normal. But, I could still guess that he was shocked by words.

'Guess I really am Lucky'

As expected [Card Master] seemed to be the best class amongst all the options.

"It says that the [Card Master] class will give me basic magic knowledge, basic telekinesis knowledge, 2 points of Magic and 3 points of Luck. As for the other classes you probably already know about them."

But, I seemed to have misunderstood his reason for shock, he was silent for a bit and opened his mouth,

"I feel that Mr. Erik should choose the [Archer] class, although you would be getting only 3 points in Agility, it would be better to focus on getting the most out of it. I have a feeling that the [Card Master] class has a lot to do with Luck. It seems quite unpredictable..."

I frowned when I heard his suggestion, but when he got to the last part I sighed in relief.

'Almost thought it was a trap class'

Alexander did not know that I had Legendary grade potential in Luck, it was only expected that he would suggest a more straightforward option.

'This class might be unpredictable, but not for me'

He was not sure when reading the description of the class, but if it really relied on Luck then he would be an idiot to not use his only advantage.

'This class might just change my fate.'

In the end, I picked what was best for me.

As I made my decision, a green light enveloped me indicating my class change.

I closed my eyes and felt the subtle changes in my body.

I successfully changed my class.

"Which one was it?"

Alexander asked me in a nervous tone.

I smiled and answered him,

"[Card Master]"

"This..."

I could see him frown for a bit, and then sigh as if he could not help it.

He did not seem too disappointed, only a bit uncertain.

"May I ask why you chose it?"

"Haha, I have always been lucky since I was small"

Of course, it was just a made-up excuse.

Alexander did not know my low potential for physical stats, even if I had chosen [Archer] like he said, my Agility would not have been enough to exhibit the class's full strength.

I was also thinking of choosing the [Mage] class because it might somewhat reduce my Magic incompetence, but decided against it in the end. After all, the [Card Master] also gave me 2 points of Magic only 1 point less than the [Mage] class.

"I see"

He seemed to have accepted the fact that I had chosen on being a [Card Master]

I was a bit worried if he would give up on me, but it did not seem to be the case.

[Overview: Physical stats are still hopeless. But, I applaud you for choosing a class that uses your strong Luck to its advantage. Also, If you hadn't chosen a class that grated you Magic, with your trash potential you would have had a hard time feeling Magic. But, it is recommended that you don't get complacent, your situation is still not that great.]

'Again with the bullshit...'

For some reason, the Overview message did not criticize him for choosing the [Card Emperor] class.

I felt more confident seeing this.

I could also feel Magic knowledge pouring into my head.

It was nothing too complicated since it was Basic knowledge. It explained the concept of Magic, how to feel the mana, how to use it, and how to cast spells with it.

It was a bit different from what I had in mind before.

I felt like some kind of complex riddle was getting solved in my head, and it felt enlightening.

I felt something open in my brain and could instinctively sense that I had gained the ability to move objects with just my mind.

Although it was incredibly weak now, it would be extremely in using the powers of his class.

I also gained an understanding of my class, and how it worked.

Now, I could understand why Alexander said it highly depended on luck.

I closed my eyes tried to feel the mana in my body, my mana was only in single digits so it seemed to be willing to listen to me.

I heard Alexander voice bringing me out of my thoughts,

"Let's go back, it already getting late. As for the food..."

"One bag is enough"

Alexander seemed grateful, there were only 10 bags of food, and my contribution was little but easily worth more than 1 bag at least 2-3 bags.

I could see that he had been worried about this.

"Have you thought about what to do with the others, we can't always feed them."

"Those who aren't willing to fight will only get in the way. It is meaningless to sacrifice their lives for nothing. I am planning to slowly train them so that they can get used to fighting monsters."
