The Hurt

Sir Esuagrom was carrying some firewood back to Tolemac.

The poor guy has barely had any sleep in the last couple of days.

Honestly.

Esuagrom no longer sleeps, he just rests, and I pray that none of you figure out the difference.

The wood in his arms was as heavy as his eyes.

His mind was foggy at best, but the knight of chores had to fulfill his chore.

Sir Esuagrom now tripped, and as he was quickly gathering the firewood, Monsieur Huon held a sword at his neck.

" Are you the famed; knight of suffering? " asked Huon.

Esuagrom ignored him, for he was too busy gathering the firewood.

Huon now kicked the wood, scattering it all over the place.

Like a madman, and a too loyal dog, Sir Esuagrom jumped from place to place, gathering up the wood.

Monsieur Huon looked at the sorry state of the knight before him.

Huon felt pity, but also anger, so he now started to kick Sir Esuagrom in the stomach.

He kicked, and kicked, and kicked, till Esuagrom was coughing up blood.

But.

It was in that moment, that Monsieur Huon heard these words echo in his mind;

" There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in a storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man." - Patrick Rothfuss.

With beast-like force, Sir Esuagrom got up, and then he punched Monsieur Huon in the stomach; so now Huon was the one who was coughing up blood.

Monsieur Huon was now looking at the eyes of a monster-like beast, who was grinning, and who had a joyuse smile; which made Huon think that Sir Esuagrom actually enjoyed pain.

A battle now ensued, where Huon was using his sword, and Esuagrom was using his bare hands, but to Monsieur Huon's surprise- he was the one losing ground.

Huon now knew that getting to safety would be a victory, so he ran, but Esuagrom would not let him off that easily, so he now gave chase, while laughing like a certain Joker.

They ran and ran, till they reached a waterfall, and without thinking it over, Huon immediately jumped, but he would survive, while the laughter of Esuagrom could be heard atop the cliff.

The adrenalin had finally calmed down in Sir Esuagrom, and he was now back in control.

He returned and picked up the firewood, which he gave to a family- who were very grateful.
