"How have you been?" Carsten asked before Mircea got a chance to sit. She stopped midway to gaze at him. The question had caught her off guard. She didn't know how she had been. It had been a long time since she stopped being herself.
"Well, let me sit first." She tried to switch the topic.
"Yes, Of Course. Your majesty." He gave her a curt nod.
Mircea leaned back on her chair after sitting on it. She was exhausted by trying on the gown, she still had to meet King Kirill for supper and give him the answer to his question. He hadn't said that she had to answer him by tonight, however it would be better to set things straight before his son came to-morrow.
Moreover, she had been more anxious that her enemy was someone from the council all along. Everytime someone from the council greeted her she couldn't help but imagine how they would have plotted to kill her father and imprisoned her sister.
