Reckoning

Mircea took Anstice to her secret spot where she used to meet her chimpanzee friends. She quite well remembered how she had shown Urban this spot-it was very close to her heart. Even after all of it, Mircea couldn't bring herself to hate this spot. It was very special-hidden from the rest of the world. It had been her solace at one point. 

Her animal friends were nowhere to be seen, then again winter was here. And she had never met them here in the winter. She didn't know where they went during the snow-but she wished they returned when she finally took over the throne. 

Anstice used majick to change her clothes in leather pants and tight knitted corset blouse. As they were deep into the forest no one could smell the lingering frowsy smell of the majick practising. The witch even went ahead and changed her appearance-so once they were out of the forest none of the palace remnants who were acquaintances of Lilith and Faustina could recognize her.
