Chapter 4: Angelina's new life
Angelina arrived in France the following day and a driver was sent to pick her up at the airport. It only took thirty minutes to get to Mary's house from the airport. When they got there Angelina was amazed, she saw a very big house and a lot of luxurious cars. She then went inside the house and found Mary waiting for her in the living room. "Hello, you must be Angelina Browns, my sister's stepdaughter," said Mary with a welcoming smile on her face. "Oh yes ma'am I am. You have a very beautiful house," said Angelina while looking around. "Welcome to my humble home. Let's go and I will show you your room," said Mary as she went upstairs to show Angelina her bedroom.
When they got there Angelina was so stunned by the gigantic bedroom that was going to be hers. "Enjoy your stay," said Mary as she left. As soon as she left Angelina started jumping up and down on the bed. "I cannot believe that I am going to live in such a big house and I own this big and beautiful bedroom. I wish the pla... . Oh no I have to get some fresh flowers or seeds for starting my own garden and a pet so that I can feel more at home. That way I'll be able to do the things that I used to do back in the village. I will ask aunt Mary to accompany me to the market tomorrow," she said to herself.
The next day Angelina woke up very early and prepared herself. As soon as she finished having breakfast she asked Mary to accompany her to the market. "I think you can go there on your own. It's not that far from here, you are old enough. Aren't you? ," said Mary politely. "I am only 18 but I think I can go on my own. I only need fresh plants and a pet so that I can feel more at home. You can give me the directions then I will go there on my own," said Angelina. Mary gave her money and told her the directions. After all that Angelina headed there.
She walked there while singing without being scared as it usually becomes for a new person in an unfamiliar place. She was greeting almost everyone she came across on her way to the market. After a few minutes she arrived at the market and bought everything she needed. When she was about to exit the market she bumped heads with someone. She quickly stood up and apologized to him and as soon as they looked at each other it took a few minutes for them to snap out of it until someone asked to pass because they were standing in the middle of the entrance. After moving out of the way Angelina walked away, not so long after that the young man ran after her. "Wait! You don't look like a rude person to me," said the young man. " I am not , it's just that it's not a good thing to speak to strangers," said Angelina. "Oh, so I look like a stranger to you? Okay let me not be a stranger anymore and kindly introduce myself to you. I am Miles Montgomery, mostly known as the mayor's son," said Miles politely. Nice to meet you Miles, I am Angelina Browns and I am new here. I arrived here yesterday," said Angelina. "I must say that I am so pleased to meet such a beautiful lady like yourself. May you please let me accompany you?," asked Miles. "Sure, you may.," said Angelina smiling at him. They continued to walk quietly without saying a word to each other. When they arrived where they were headed to which was Angelina's house , they said their goodbyes to each other. "Goodbye, I guess I'll see you next time?," said Miles winking at Angelina. "I don't know about that but it was nice meeting you Miles. Bye," said Angelina as they hugged.
