Wedding Day

Knock! Knock! Knock!

A string of knocks on the door threw Snow out of her deep thoughts. She didn't even realize that the day was starting to break or that she didn't sleep at all because of how she spent the night thinking.

" Come in please", she responded as she removed her face from her soft pillow which was now soaked in tears.

It was her personal handmaid who knocked continuously on the door. Her parents had sent the maid to help her get prepared for the wedding; they knew too well that she wouldn't want to see them.

" Good morning Grace, what is it?", asked Snow, rolling sideways on her bed to face Grace.

" Good morning My Princess, I'm here to prepare you for your wedding ", informed Grace before asking, " Can I help you to take a bath first?"

" No problem Grace, thanks but I'll take care of everything... I'll let you know if I need anything ", she disagreed, forcing a smile on her face.

" But my Princess, you don't look so good...what bothers you on such a special day like this one?", asked graceful in a worried manner.

Grace and Snow were a bit close to each other, even though Grace knew her limits when relating with the Princess. She was a well organized lady who took care of Snow since she was a child; for this, Snow became fond of her, and often shared some secrets with her.

" Grace, do you think my parents made the best choice for me by arranging this marriage? ", asked Snow in a whisper.

This got Grace pausing for a while to think of a good response to Snow's question.

" My Princess, I think your marriage isn't their choice but yours...I have always known that you want to become Queen supreme over this kingdom. You shouldn't let this marriage ruin your dreams", advised Grace.

" It's your life, so make your choices ", she added.

Princess Snow was glad to hear Grace's advice since it was really what she wanted to hear; she was going to continue with her plan to crash the wedding with Ramin's help.

She sprang up from her bed with a smile of hope on her face. She decided to cheer up and take a quick bath; then she put on her beautiful wedding dress.

Princess Snow stood in front of her huge dressing mirror while struggling with Grace to buckle the silver straps on her dress. The dress was a long flowing green gown which matched with the green colour of her eyes. It had five silver straps on its back, and two beautiful long sleeves with a nice blend of silver and green shades.

Eventually, they succeeded in buckling the dress' last silver strap. Snow looked so gorgeous in the wedding dress, and Grace couldn't help but admire her beauty. Grace helped her pull her long black hair into a very neat braid, and then a beautiful bun.

" My Princess, you look stunning in this dress...I bet you're going to take everyone's breath away with your beauty", praised Grace with a warm smile.

" Thank you Grace...but I'll have to ruin the dress when the time comes ", replied Snow while looking at herself in the mirror.

" What do you mean, my Princess? ", Grace quizzed.

" You'll know when the time comes ", Snow replied with a smirk.

Not bothering to ask any more questions, Grace decided to keep shut and help Snow with the golden accessories.

In a short while, the queen showed up in Snow's room after making sure that everything was set in the right order. She was surprised to see that Snow had gotten over everything so soon, it made her feel glad. They both dismissed Grace, to have some mother and daughter bonding time before the wedding bell was rung.

The queen made sure that Snow looked more gorgeous than ever, before they left the room. Snow was helped by her mother, to hold her long flowing dress as they both trailed down the flight of stairs, into the Royal ball room.
