Prologue, the separation

3 boys Hussein, Mohamad and Oscar stood by the riverside staring at the horizon.

"This is it huh" said Hussein, he is 5'9" with a blue jean jacket and a scarf around his neck slightly covering his bush of a beard.

"Ya I guess it is" sighed Oscar while taking a drag from his cigarette, he stood 5'11" wearing a black trench coat with blond tuff on his hair.

"What do you mean this is it, we may be moving to different cities to follow our dreams but that doesn't mean we can't remain in contact!" I replied, my name is Mohamad and I stand 5'6" wearing jeans, a white tee-shirt along with a black blazer.

"Realistically people's friendships don't last after people move to different cities Mohamad" stated Oscar with a frown.

"That doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try!" I argued.

"Enough! we always have this argument whenever we talk about us going our separate ways" Hussein said with a exasperated look on his face

"We shouldn't fight on our last day together as friends Oscar! and get real Mohamad we can't remain friends in the long term not only because of long distance relationships never work out but also because we will get in the way of each other's dreams," Hussein said with a frown.

"Ha, staying neutral as always Hussien! You know I've always hated that about you. Your so indecisive never able to pick anyone's side in a argument!" Said Oscar with a condescending look on his face

"Well at least I don't always pretend to be mister perfect Oscar! Always believing your way is the best and righteous way, maybe it's for the best we cut each other off if we constantly argue like this!" replied Hussien with a stormy look on his face.

"Tsk, whatever I'm out of here if our friendship meant so little to the two of you that you can just cut it off like this then I want no part of it anymore" I stated as I stormed away knowing in my heart that I was going to regret letting my emotions get the best of me and ruining our last day together.

" ha how childish" chuckled Hussein as he walked away with a tremble on his lip.

Oscar was the only one that remained at the riverside gazing on the horizon while thinking to himself

" these idiots, letting emotion cloud their judgment" while a tear ran down his cheek because he knew he was not only being hypocritical because he also allowed his pride and anger to cloud his judgment but he was also devastated by the loss of this friendship.

The 3 boys while emotionally devastated went their separate ways in order to pursue their dreams. Hussein moved to LA to pursue his dream of becoming an actor and singer starting off with small roles in children's shows or doing commercials. Oscar moved to New York to pursue his dream of becoming a world-renown business man, he started off by owning a small clothing stand. Finally, I got a job as a bartender at a small casino in Toronto in hopes of becoming the greatest card magician to ever exist.

I used to wish to become a police officer but as I grew up, I watched many magicians on T.V and Oscar told me stories of many famous card tricks which inspired my new dream. We all worked hard in the pursuit of our greatest desire.
