Chapter 1

With a strange gait, a man is walking down the street with a black plastic bag full of rubbish things.

It seems like there is trash in it but the smell of that bag was not a trashy smell it was more like food waste or Blood!!

He saw a dog on his way back home.

"Come here little doggy", said the man with a creepy smile on his face.

"Are u hungry?"

Then he took a piece of meat from his mystery plastic bag and showed it to him, the dog approached him slowly while barking.

"Shh!" Said the man, "you will wake up the neighbors".

The dog was now in front of the man, he started patting his head so he'll calm down a little bit then he gave him the meat.

The dog was so hungry that he finished the meat so quickly.

"Do you want more, I have plenty of meat if you are still hungry"

Then he took the rest of the meat that he had and gave it all to him.

The dog finished it all so quickly as if he didn't eat anything for weeks.

He was starving!

When the dog finished everything, he started barking so loud for no reason.

The man tried to calm him down but it didn't help.

"What's happening", said a young boy to his mom.

"I don't know, go see yourself" the barking of the dog caught his attention so he went to the balcony to see what's going on.

The dog was getting on the old man's nerves until he got furious.

He couldn't hit him or anything because there were CCTV cameras in the neighborhood.

So he just glared at him with his freaky eyes.

"Your turn will come soon", said the man with a low husky voice.

Before the man finished his phrase the dog runs away faster than a cheetah.

"Is that his dog or what?" said a 12 year old boy called Jacob who saw everything through the balcony and filmed it.

Unfortunately he was a little bit late so he couldn't see the exact same scene.

He is obsessed with animals so whenever he sees one he takes a picture of it or a video depends on his mood.

But this time it was different because he saw the dog running away from the old man even though it's rare to see dogs being scared of humans, it's mostly us who are afraid of them.

Jacob was interested in animals since he was 3 years old and it was because of the dog that he got from his parents as a birthday gift. when he started growing up he decided to learn more about animals especially dogs since he had one.

So after filming the video he started checking it so precisely to not miss any details.

It was kind of surprising for him because he didn't know the exact reason behind the dog being afraid of the old man.

He was not sure enough but he thinks that maybe the old man's eyes were all dark probably from not getting enough sleep because of work or he saw him holding something that may scared him.

who knows!

Jacob didn't sleep that night thinking about the dog, he spent the whole night searching about it but he didn't get any information.

He only found videos of dogs being scared of nothing and he couldn't get any sleep either.

"I got it", said Jacob with a loud voice while jumping out of happiness.

"What happened, are you okay?", said his mom who is running out of breath.

He was so excited that he didn't hear his mom, she was so worried to death since Jacob was her only son.

She went to his room finding him dancing on top of the bed, she was relieved.

"Oh my Lord Jacob, can't you at least answer me I was so worried"

"I'm so sorry mom, I was just happy"

"I'm happy that you are as well but what if I think something bad happened to you, do you think it's funny"

"I really apologize mom for what I did, I promise It will never happen again"

They hugged and kissed and finish their day as if nothing happened.

"When you finish what you were doing, come down to eat dinner before it's getting cold"

"Ok mom" then he went to his computer to finish off his work.

He was so happy because he got an amazing idea which is posting the video that he filmed online.

He may get any information or answers to the question that have been on his mind the whole night which is : "why the dog was scared".

He was writing the caption bellow the video until it felt weird.

"What if they say the same thing?" thought Jacob.

"If they did then what I'm gonna do, should I forget about it and study instead, but what if something happened to the poor dog, will he be okay?"

Then the voice in his head disappeared.

Jacob is a smart and intelligent boy he is always the 1st one in class, so when he thinks about it multiple times, he thinks that if he post it online then people will say the same thing as him so it will be just a waste of time.

That's why he didn't post it and that wasn't the only reason he was also afraid something will happen to him if he says anything because he thinks that the old man doesn't look normal due to his way of walking

Even though he doesn't look that old, like he would be in his 30's or 40's, but his walking was kind of odd and weird!

But Jacob decided to forget about it and focus more on his studies because he didn't want to waste more time on something that may affect his marks.
