Chapter Sevety: The Truth of a Deciever

For what felt like hours, Aurora led Ember down a long stairway, which led deeper and deeper beneath the castles foundation. She had no idea what to expect but she knew that she would be willing to act accordingly. She wasn't completely sure of her strength yet but that didn't matter to her, she would do whatever she needed too to dispose of Aurora.

" I know that you do not trust me, and that is wise of you. But I assure you, you can do whatever you want after you've seen what I have to show you" Aurora assures.

" And no, I'm not trying to split you and Penny apart. I mean, I could.." She pauses and smiles ever so slightly before continuing " That would be pretty easy bit you both seem to be doing fine on that without me. And either way, it would not benefit me to lose someone who could possibly see things my way for a change" Aurora continues downward until they both arrive at a large chamber of some sort. It was completely pitch black and the only form of light, was in the form of a glowing white orb that resided in the center of the room.

" What is this place? " Ember questioned as she fixated on the glowing orb in the center of the room.

Aurora moved towards the orb and glanced down into it as Ember followed behind her.

" The purpose or reason of this room is not important to you, I promise you that much. But, this orb, will give you the answers you seek...and perhaps some answers that I seek" Aurora stepped away from the orb in order to let Ember step forward.

" All you have to do is touch the orb, and you will get the answers you seek" Aurora assures Ember as Ember takes another step forward and after taking a deep breath, lays her hand upon the orb and is immediatly thrust into a world that was both familiar and yet unfamiliar to her.

She was in the Underworld, she could sense that much though everything seemed rather different. The world was filled with ash and smoke and smelt of death. This was something she had both felt and witnessed before.

A loud, rather disturbingly evil voice called out from the nothingness around her.

" You wish to step beyond the truth, and seek the world's salvation" the voice called to Ember, it was horrifying and yet familiar to her all the same. She knew this was the truth she needed.

" Yes" She called back to the voice as she looked around but saw nothing despite her efforts.

A moment of silence fell upon the world and in that moment, Ember could do nothing but await guidance. The abyss had guided her but also left her with questions and now, she was here, receiving help from Aurora to learn the truth. Perhaps the key to who she is even though deep down, she didn't care. No matter what she was, she was still herself.

And just as she began to get lost with in her thoughts the voice called out again to her just a stundref as before

" Then seek within yourself" and as the words came to her, shaking her bones from within, Embers eyes began to glow red, burning within her skull and she, in this moment, could see all things. All mistakes, all victories, all choices that have been or will ever be made by all that exist within the world. And in an instant, the burning went away and her eyes returned back to normal.

" You have seen it, and you know it well. And yet your purpose has yet to bloom" the voice called to Ember who fell to her knees, weak from the energy that it took from her to see all that she had seen.

And whilst she felt that it was over, and that she had finally seen the truth and all that she would need, she was sucked back into another void, this time, in a strange world she had not quite seen before. And though despite having never seen it before, she could tell this land was infested with corruption. This place was once a prison, a home to many beings and a hell to even more.

This was a place that she would care to rarely venture and yet she knew she would have to come to this place someday, she could feel it within herself. This place, was important, as it held the fabric of all realities together.

A construct and weaving that would be the key to what she and the others would need to do. But for now, this would have to wait.

Ember closed her eyes and breathed deeply before opening them, finding herself staring down at the white orb again, with Aurora waiting in the darkness.

" Interesting" Aurora walked over to Ember and placed her hand on Embers shoulder who didn't seem to respond.

" Did you find out every thing you needed to know? " Aurora playfully asked Ember who did not turn her head in Auroras direction but provided a solemn " No"

" Well what a shame because I now know some things about you that will be of great use" Aurora smiled as began twirling her hair around her finger.

" Yeah? And what in the world makes you think I would be any asset to you. Willing or otherwise" Ember growled under her breath to which Aurora replied " Because if I don't follow through with my plans, and I don't get what I want, then you will die. Not by my hand, I assure you. Not by anyone's hand in particular, but you will die..and along with you, everything you have come to save" Aurora smirked as she began making her way back upstairs.

" What are you talking about? " Ember turned to Aurora, who turned back and motioned for Ember to follow " Let's find out"
