Chapter Fifty Seven: The Waste of Time

Both Penny and Ember outstretched their arms, at the request of Adette and tried to remain as still as they possibly could. Adette, circled around the two, looking them up and down, almost trying to size them up properly.

" Yes..yes you both have exactly what I need" Adette smiled as she stopped in front of Penny and dragged her finger across one of Penny's arms. " You have so much energy coursing through you, I'm kind of impressed that your body can even withstand it" Adettes eyes grew wider as her finger made contact with Penny's skin. " But you definitely have no idea how to control your abilities. You have a basic understanding but you know we're close to where you should be. You haven't even unlocked your full potential " Adette sighed as she turned her attention to Ember.

" And you.." Adette dragged her finger across Embers arm, but as soon as her finger touched Ember, she pulled it back as though she had been shocked by a quick jolt.

" Well..that's interesting " Adette shook her hand, trying to shake off the pain. " What just happened? " Ember questioned, surprised at the result just as much as Adette.

" You have even more power than Penny does. But, you also haven't unlocked your full potential. But that makes sense for you, you simply aren't ready yet. If you were try to unlock it now, there is a really big chance that it would force your vessel to collapse" Adette sighed as she turned away from the two.

" I am going to need you two to unlock your potentials though. If my plan is to work, then I need you both at your strongest..it's the only way I can make the symbol" Adette began falling into deep thought as Penny and Ember watched on, confused.

" What Symbol"? Penny asked.

" It's sort of like a rune. A Rune that will allow me to have influence over the people I place it on. If I put it on Kara and Gabriel then I can prevent them from making mistakes as much as possible without actually interfering with them. It would more so severe the purpose of keeping them in line" Adette confessed. Ember and Penny had to admit, this was a decent plan. They never really thought about it before. Because they weren't even sure that something like that would even be possible. The base on the complications they have had so far, they were willing to give this idea a chance.

" So how long is this plan actually going to take. Because if Ember can't even ready her potential yet without possibly killing herself..we just have to wait, right? " Penny thought she had come far enough within her own training however apparently, she still had much further to go which disappointed her slightly.

" Yeah, it's going to take a bit. But if this plan isn't going to work then I can always do my second plan " Adette turned back to the two and crossed her arms. " I could just destroy this world all together.." The words shocked both Penny and Ember.

" I don't really see how that would fix things..the world has erased itself several times and it always comes back.." Penny pointed out.

" Yes that is true, but I have ways to ensure that it never comes back. And I am seriously considering it.." Now, Penny and Ember were feeling less inclined to work with Adette who appeared to be slightly more unstable that the two had previously thought.

" OH dammit" Adette growled. " Keera is coming here to collect you two and I need you both to go with her. Without struggle" Adette could send Keeras energy approaching and Penny along with Ember were confused.

" We are not going with her she is nothing but a traitor" Penny refused.

" You're going to go with her because i'm telling you to go with her. I can assure you that you don't have a choice in this " Adette waved her hand in front of Penny and Ember who suddenly fell unconscious. " These damn kids" Adette disappeared from the room right as Keera arrived.

Keera immediately noticed that Penny and Ember were on the ground and after looking around for Adette but not finding her, Keera couldn't believe her luck. " This was way easier than I thought it would be.." Keera had a feeling that this could have been a trap but it was also something that Kara would have to deal with and not Keera herself so she was more than willing to take the two girls and do as she was told. After scooping Penny and Ember in her arms, Keera vanished.
