Chapter Fifty Four: The Right Thing

" You are awake finally? " Keera backs away as Kara sits up, breathing heavily and sweating profusely. " What are you doing here? " Kara groaned as she rubbed her neck which was aching for some odd reason.

" I am here because I did everything I was suppose to do..and I am ready to leave now" Keera answered as she rose to her feet, feeling relieved that Kara was finally awake and that she was in good health for the most part.

" Change of plans..I'm going to need you to stay for a little longer" Kara stood to her feet and turned to Keera who seemed visibly upset by thr news. " No..no that is not happening. You said that if I did what you needed then you would get me out of here" Keera had tried to be patient but she couldn't take it anymore. She wanted to leave the Underworld.

" I know what I said, but I'm not done with you yet. There is more to do because the plans have changed. I need you too find Penny and Ember" This request was a little surprising to Keera which almost made her completely put aside her frustration with Kara going back on her word.

" Why would I need to get them for you.? " Keera asked to which Kara replied " Because we have a bigger issue that we need to handle. And I'm going to need your help just as much as I'm going to need theirs" Kara asking for help was unlike her based on Keeras experience and so this intrigued Keera.

" Fine, I can try to get them but can at least know what the threat is? " Though she asked, deep down within herself, Keera already knew the threat..the Child, Adette.

" I am not even entirely sure myself of the threats name but what I do know is, if it's not handled, it's going to be a much bigger problem for us all. That is why I am delaying your exit for the time being. When this is over, then you can go" Kara answered.

" What is to stop me from just finding another way to earth though? I am willing to get Penny and Ember for you but I'm not sure I want to stick around past that point. I have my own reasons for wanting to leave.." Keera knew she had no way of actually getting to earth but she also knew that whatever Kara had planned, would more than likely put her life in danger, again. Something that Keera wanted to avoid.

" Because I am currently the gatekeeper for getting in and out of the Underworld. And I'm not letting anyone leave for right now. We need to keep the threat locked here.." Kara answered. In truth, she had not actually blocked off the ways to earth however she knew how to do so, but it was never something she actually ever attempted.

" Fine. Whatever. I'm going to get them but that's it" Keera turned to walk away from Kara who raised her hand, which made Keeras entire body freeze completely.

" Do not betray me Keera..it would not be wise.." Kara threatened before releasing Keera who snapped her fingers and disappeared.

" I say that and yet she's already betrayed me" Kara sighed.

" You are doing the right thing Kara..." Gabriels voice echoed in Kara's head.

" Yeah"
