The Prophet's Ways Of Destruction

"Waking up as a prophet with this goddamn vision of mine is already annoying. And now you are telling me to save this hopeless world? The hell with these fools! I would rather act as a villain than accept this fate of mine!" A repetitive role; as God's "Left eye," Seon Vel'Seol had to experience a relentless cycle in which she was able to foresee the future of others, yet never for herself. With each world's ending seen, her purpose ends in death, followed by rebirth in yet another world—only to repeat the same task. During the death of her 195th existence, Seon swore to cause destruction in her 196th reincarnation. However, fate can be a little bit messy. She wouldn't have thought her 196th life, she was hailed as a prophet destined to save the world instead. ________________________________ Got a contract! Seon squinted at the system's interface, her eyes narrowing at the new title emblazoned before her:

'Savior'

The words blinked back at her, utterly unappealing.

"Ugh… I hate this new title of mine," she muttered, her voice trailing off as she lingered in thought.

She stood there so long, staring into the air, that a bird could have perched on her head and started building a nest.

Around her, the villagers watched with worry and confusion.

"What's up with her?" one whispered.

"How would we know? It's easier to understand a demon than it is her!" another replied, scratching his head.

"Think she's having one of those… prophetic visions?" someone else chimed in.

A murmur of agreement passed through the group until Yunnie, who's face showed annoyance, broke through the noise.

His footsteps were heavy as he marched over to her.

If he was worried, it didn't show—he looked more exasperated than concerned.

"Madam Prophet," he paused for a bit. "strip."

Seon's mouth fell open.

Around them, a shocked silence fell, every pair of eyes wide with disbelief.

"Huh?" she managed, taken aback.

"Strip!" he repeated, unflinching. "We've gotta get medicine on those wounds. Your chest wounds!"

A chorus of sighs of relief went through the villagers, their shoulders relaxing as they averted their gazes.

"Ohhh," one murmured, nodding as understanding dawned.

"For a moment there, I thought Yunnie had some… questionable tastes."

"Tsk, tsk. Good thing, good thing,"

Seon's cheeks burned as she glanced at them, irritated. Her frown deepened, and she clenched her fists in annoyance.

'HEY! WHAT DO YOU GUYS MEAN BY THAT?!'

She wanted to scream, but only a huff of frustration escaped her.

-

"Ouch! Ouch, ouch—aaah! Ack!" Seon squirmed and whinced as Yunnie dabbed oil onto her wounds and prepared the flame. "AAAAHHH, THIS IS TORTURE! ABUSEMENT! QUACK DOCTOR!!"

"Stay still!" Yunnie snapped, his brows furrowed with annoyance. "Wounds from corruption won't heal. But burns? Those will!"

"AACK! Does it have to be fire?! really!?"

"Fire is one of a pure form of essence. It's capable of repelling corruption"

"Ohhh…" Seon began to nod in understanding, but the moment the flame touched her blood, she let out another shriek. "IT HURTS! IT HURTS! ACK!"

"IM GETTING BURNED LIKE HELL!!"

"You're getting purified, not grilled!" Yunnie retorted, keeping his hold steady.

"IT FEELS LIKE BOTH!" she yelled, thrashing against the burning sting.

After using his healing ability, leaving a brown-like scar on her chest, which left a faint brownish scar, Yunnie began tugging the bandages tightly around her, paying no attention to her lingering groans and complaints.

"Little Yunnie" She grumbled, gritting her teeth through the pain. "I can't help but notice you are trying to get revenge through this"

"That's impossible Madam Prophet, this is for medical purposes. It would be troublesome if corruption started influencing your mind. It won't be easier to purify that way"

Seon looked at him, confused. "Why?"

"Madam Prophet, you wouldn't want your brain getting burned"

"AGH! STOP STOP!" Seon screamed.

Seon groaned, wiping a mix of sweat and tears from her face as Yunnie secured the last of the wrappings. "Ugh... I am never doing this again," she muttered.

As Yunnie finished packing up the last of the medical supplies, Seon's gaze drifted toward the window, her eyes suddenly lighting up as if she'd remembered something crucial. She spun around and began shaking Yunnie off.

"The card! Where is the card?!"

Yunnie looked up, his face instantly clouded with concern. "The Strength Arcana?"

"Yes, that! Where is it?"

"You can't have it, Madam Prophet!" he replied, folding his arms and standing his ground. "Even being near that thing can cause corruption!"

Seon waved off his warning with an airy laugh. "Aiyahh, it's fine! Who am I after all? The Savior, God's Left Eye, a prophet!" She flashed him a daring smile.

(Yunnie had no idea what's those titles all about).

His eyebrows twitched in exasperation as he replied.

"N O"

Seon's grin faltered. "Ugh, come on! You're getting bolder these days. You used to be terrified of my beatings!"

He met her gaze and looked away nervously.

"Then beat me, do whatever you want—but I'm not letting you risk your life over something this reckless."

"THIS ISN'T RECKLESS! I know exactly what I'm doing!"

Yunnie fell silent, simply giving her a long, tired look.

Seon sighed, clutching her hands together in a dramatic plea. She then began lying on the ground, and like a child, throwing tantrums by kicking and punching the air.

"Please! I swear, I'll sit here and cry forever if you don't give it to me."

To Yunnie's disbelief, the so-called 'Mad dog', 'Demon', and 'Monster' before him was now pouting like a child. Resigned, he let out a heavy sigh, finally pulling out a small wooden box.

"Alright… but do not open this—"

Alas! Before he could finish, Seon snatched the box from his hands, flipping it open with zero hesitation.

"ARGGHHHHH!!!"

Yunnie could only scream in frustration as he watched helplessly having the perfectly sealed box opened easily by Seon.

He was read to face to whatsoever corruption energy about to come.

But to their surprise; what they saw wasn't a card- but a brown hamster lying down, with its stomach so big.
