Chapter 13.

Family, Destiny and Duty.

Back at the laboratory,Dr. Stevens asked them to go home ,say their goodbyes to their family members and come back for the main training.

Everyone except Jacob left,to him ,he has no family as he was considered an outcast in his home time.

Back home, each Moonchaser had a difficult farewell with their loved ones. Except for Ares, who was welcomed home by his family with open arms. But, for the others, it was a bittersweet moment. They knew they would be leaving their families and friends behind, and they didn't know when or if they would see them again. But, they also knew that this was their calling, and they were ready to embrace their destiny. And so, they said their goodbyes, with heavy hearts and full of hope for the future.

It's was touching moment as Ares says goodbye his family,his aunt wanted to stop him from treading on the path his father took that destroyed him,his grandfather thinks otherwise . His aunt and granny were worried for him, but they know he's old enough to make his own decisions and it was his calling and destiny. As he leaves, his grandfather gives him a small gift, a silver necklace with a crescent moon pendant. "Remember who you are," he says. "Remember where you came from." Then he hugs Ares and sends him on his way. As Ares walks out the door, he feels a sense of freedom and excitement.

The guys said their goodbye to Dex before leaving to ans their calling.

Dex's life feels empty without his friends. They've been through so much together, and now they're gone. He felt lost, but he knows he has to move on. He needs to find a job, and a purpose. He starts applying for different positions, but nothing feels quite right. Then, he sees an ad for a position as a bodyguard for the president. It sounds exciting, and he knows it would be a challenge, so he applies.

And to his surprise, he's actually offered the job! He'll be the bodyguard for the president of the country, which is an incredible honor. The job comes with a lot of responsibility, but Dex is determined to do his best. On his first day, he meets the president and his family, and he's struck by how kind and genuine they are. It makes him feel more committed to his job than ever. But little does he know, there's danger lurking just around the corner.

A few days into his new job, Dex notices something strange. He starts to notice a man following the president's family around. The man is always there, lurking in the background. Dex tries to keep an eye on him, but he's always gone when Dex gets close. The president's family hasn't noticed the man, and Dex doesn't want to alarm them. But he's growing more and more worried with each passing day. What does this mysterious man want? And what will happen if he gets it?

One afternoon, Dex is on his break when he sees the mysterious man again. This time, the man is talking to someone he couldn't see. Dex can't hear what they're saying, but he sees the man's face contort with anger. , he starts walking quickly away from the president's house. Dex feels a surge of adrenaline and decides to follow the man. He wants to know what's going on. He wants to protect the president and his family.

The next day, Dex finds out that the president and his family are going on a trip to a nearby city. He's part of the security detail, along with several other bodyguards. They're all on high alert, and they're all keeping a close eye on the mysterious man. During the trip, they lose track of him several times. It's like he disappears into thin air. But then, just as they're boarding the plane to head home, the man reappears. And he's heading towards the president's family. Dex springs into action.

Dex rushes towards the man, and he grabs him by the arm. "You're not going anywhere near the president or his family," he says. The man looks at him, and Dex sees something strange in his eyes. They're glowing red, like burning coals. "You have no idea what you're dealing with," the man says, his voice low and gravelly. "You can't stop me. No one can." Dex is frozen in fear. What is this man? Is he even human?

The president came out and asked Dex to calm down as the man in question is a friend.

Surprised Dex looked at the man's eyes and found them normal again.

The man gave the president a folded paper and walked away.

I must find out the content of the paper,Dex said.

Dex filled with curiosity about what was in the note, so he waited until he had an opportunity to sneak into the president's room. When he finally opened the note, he saw that it was a message from Vlad, the leader of the rebellious vampire clan, informing the president of an urgent meeting.

Then Dex had no idea , it's the leader of the rebellious vampire clan.

"I have to go back to the province to attend to an urgent matter", president Alex said to his wife.

And left with Dex and the other bodyguards after leaving a handful behind to protect his family.

And as the president and his entourage turned around to leave, Dex couldn't shake the feeling that something terrible was about to happen. He wanted to speak up, but he didn't know what to say. So he kept his mouth shut and followed the group back to the car. As they neared the province, Dex's unease grew, and he felt a sense of foreboding.

They drove first to the president office where Vlad was waiting for him.

They entered the office, At the end of the room, sat Vlad. He was a tall, imposing figure, with long, black hair and pale skin. His eyes glowed red, and he smiled a cruel smile. "Welcome, President," he said, his voice like ice.

"Thank you supreme one "president Alex said.

Please have a seat.

Dex on the other hand stood by the door post .

Vlad and president Alex came out laughing after 30 minutes.Vlad looked at Dex and asked,"who is him?,my new bodyguard replied the president.

Dex got a whiff of something as the president stepped out with Vlad that made him look at him twice. Vlad smelled of blood. A lot of blood. Dex's mind raced.

Just as if a veil was lifted off his face,he had a flash back of the day of the bloody battle that claimed the lives of her parents and some many other people.

Dark realm clan leader!!!!!.
