The Past and the Present

It is the semifinals, both teams prepared and they have an assembly before leaving the campus.

"Ochibi is always late as usual" said Eiji

"Tsk… I just hope that he won't do this on the finals" whispered by Kaidoh but Inui who is such an observant heard it clearly

"It seems like you are sure that we will win the match against Shitenhouji, for you to say that statement of yours, Kaidoh?" with his usual poker face and smile

"Ssss…." Then Ryoma came looking at his senpais

"Harada, where's Yamada? I haven't seen her yet" asked by Oishi to Riku

"Oh, ahm I haven't seen her either. She usually sends us a message whenever she's late or what. Why is she late now?" Riku explained while massaging her temple

"Yamada-buchou?" it was Sunako called in such a surprised tone and all heads turned to look at her. She's waving at the group of people waiting at the court, she was smiling so happily and her aura is so different it's like there are flowers blooming around her.

"Gomen minna, I oversleep a little, that's why I am late I haven't had the chance to message anyone coz I'm in a hurry" she said still smiling

"Yamada-senpai looks like something nice happened to her?" it's was Momo who whispered at Ryoma

"Whatever it is, I think there's something that I don't know…" Ryoma who pouts after saying that to Momo

"Ah? Tezuka?'' It was Fuji who was surprised at the presence of Tezuka, though his ever handsome stoic face never changes like he's glowing, his seriousness makes him even more attractive. He makes his teammates jaw drop at his new aura

"What in the world is happening with our captains?" it was Oishi looking at Tezuka

"I don't know if this is good coz somehow, it gives me creeps" said Megumi who's looking at Yuuki

Then they all departed to the venue of their matches, meanwhile on the other groups

"Are you ready to face them?" she asked at the slimmer girl who's fixing her uniform

"I think so…" she answered impassively

"It'll be such a show, the present and the past!" the girl who asked teases her

"Stop talking nonsense Hatsune. Get yourselves ready, go to the court now." The girl with a tan skin told her as she enter the room she also came with the other two member

"Hai, captain. Excuse me" the girl left the locker room

"It's time…" the tan girl who is the captain said to the questioned girl

"I see… I'll go out after you…" she replied

"Don't let it bother you; focus on the match. You must show them what you got, specially to t--- " she was cut off

"I don't wanna hear her name, please" as she rises from her seat

"Okay… Let's go everyone" and she led them out of the room.

The venue has its audience triple, other schools are watching it too, and though the male club has more audience compared to the female's audience we can say that they are famous too. Both team arrive the court, it's getting intense especially on Seigaku's side and Yuuki noticed it among her members

"Seigaku" she calls for their attention they all look at her

"This is it, we're just one step ahead to the Nationals… don't let all our handworks fall into nothing, I don't know if it's the pressure that's bothering you, but all I can say is… we can do it as long as we have the same dream, same goal and same hearts" she raised her fist and waits for the other members to do the same, somehow she lit up their faces

"You're right Yuuki-chan, this is what we've been waiting for…" said Aoi

"So are you ready Seigaku!?" it was Risa

"Hai! GO FIGHT SEIGAKU!"

"You guys seem so cheerful?" a girl appeared

"Eh, who's this tan girl?" Yuuki said in such a lame tone that makes the girl frown at her

"Hinata Isana, Hyotei's Captain" explained by Aoi

"Oh, it's good to know that you know me Aoi"

"Of course I do…"

"So she is the new captain, and you retain the vice? Are you having difficulties moving on so you let her be the captain?" she is pushing the members

"Yuuki-chan is a great player and they both worked hard to gain what they have, you know nothing!" Risa spoke up then Riku move her hand out as to mean Risa to back off

"Oh, you're a brave one, is that how you respect your captain? You didn't even call her buchou, what kind of captain she is that her members doesn't even praise her"

"So what? It's just a title, and it makes me sick whenever they call me a captain, I don't even like them to address me that way. And praise? Who needs that? I am not a God I'm also a sinner, so I don't need that" the girl turns red after hearing Yuuki, Nanami and Megu tries to stop heir laugh

"I see. You are really tough, let's see who will be tougher in the present or the past…"

"What do you mean?" Yuuki asked

"Oh don't you know? Hey Aoi didn't you mention it to your new captain" a smirk is on her lips, Yuuki look at Aoi, waiting for an answer, she closed her fist and breathe deeply before answering

"Yuuki-chan… Our opponent Hyotei's vice captain is… Tatsuki Ise, Seigaku's previous captain, the one whom you succeeded."

*silence*

"And so? Who is she? I like to meet her already" and she left them, they are amazed how Yuuki snob Hatsune, so the girls follow her

"Yuuki-chan, aren't you bothered?" asked by Sunako

"No, coz I know that you guys will do great… I have faith in you guys" and she smiled at the smaller girl and tousled her hair.

"Match between Seishun Gakuen and Hyotei Gakuen all members are prepared"

"So, you are the new captain, Yuuki Yamada" a girl with a long black hair called her

"Why are there so many strangers popping up like mushrooms and calling out my name?" she rolls her eyes coz she's getting tired of it "and you are?"

"I am Tatsuki Ise"

"I see, nice meeting you"

"…" but she did not said anything but instead her face frown and her brows crossed it's like she's not satisfied to what she have heard

"You know it's not nice to meet you here"

"Aren't you the one who left Seigaku? So why are you so bitter?"

"Yes, it is my decision and I made no mistake leaving the team, because I have found who I really am. It seems like you can't remember anything right?"

"You'll regret it promise, as we won the match… and it's the first time that I met you, and so far I don't owe anyone, coz I have enough of what I need for myself"

"Hah! Boastful as usual, you're just so lucky that you are born with a golden spoon in your mouth. Always telling that she's rich and you got everything, even though you have to steal from someone"

"Hey, Ise-san I know that we are opponents right now but don't harass Yuuki-chan, she doesn't know why you left" it was Aoi who's trying to cool down each side coz she could feel that the conversation of both players are getting intense

"Say, do I know you?" it's Yuuki who's getting so much idea in her head, it's like the thought that was bothering her yesterday up rises again

"Yuuki… you're always forgetful, how could you forget me? After you made my mom sick and my father suffer? You will just forget me like that?" the members gasped as they hear it, Yuuki's eyes widened and closes her fist

"it's like you were remembering it already" she smirked

"Tatsuki Ise… that's why it sounds familiar…" she paused "Onee-san" she call Tastuki

The members are surprised, as they went to the bench it was Nanami who spoke up first

"Yuuki-senpai… what was Ise-bu--- I mean Ise-san is talking about?" as she sit near her captain

"It's been a long time, and it's one of the reasons why I went to America"

"The reason?"

"Maybe it's time for you guys to know this little burden that has been haunting all that six year long"

The members look at her and are listening to her words carefully

"I was nine and I joined the tournament for kids tennis, my mom has always supported me in all I do. It was near the finals and my father, who is always busy at work, promised to watch my match but he didn't come. So my mom and I went after the tournament over to his place hoping that he just had an important meeting.

When we arrived at his office it was said by his secretary that he left early before the tournament started, my mom tightened her grip on my hands. We went over to a nearby restaurant to eat, and we saw my father. He was with a woman of my mother's age, and a little girl who I fought with in the previous matches. My mother tried to compose herself after seeing them together."

"Who are they?" asked by Megumi

"It was my father's first family, his first wife and his daughter and that girl is Tatsuki-nee and her mother." they all gasped and stunned as to what they heard Yuuki and Tatsuki are…

"Tatsuki and I are half sisters…"
