Gu Changqing took a deep breath.
He was probably bewitched...
After arriving home, Gu Changqing first dismounted, then picked up Gu Yan, carrying him down and took all the items from Gu Yan's arms inside, placing them on the stone table in the front courtyard.
"I'm leaving." He came out and said.
Gu Yan looked at him with hopeful eyes, "Won't you stay for dinner? My sister is a great cook."
That girl colder than an assassin?
It was hard for Gu Changqing to imagine what her cooking would be like.
He glanced at the kitchen behind the passageway, a flicker of desire in his eyes, but eventually resisted, "No, I should head home."
"Oh." Gu Yan appeared disappointed.
Gu Changqing mounted his horse and glanced at Gu Yan, "Go inside."
"Okay." Gu Yan nodded but didn't move, watching him ride away until he disappeared at the end of the alley. Then, with a spring in his step, he cheerfully entered the house.
That's right.
What ankle sprain?
None at all!
