Everything is suspicious over here. Instead of giving me contracts or using me for satisfying his desires I was allowed a luxurious room to stay put. After that night seven days ago, the man never called me.

The maids used to send me scrumptious food three times a day and never misbehaved with me due to my low social status as a Vish Kanya. Surprisingly they always kept a respectful distance from me, doing my every bidding. It was also the effect of Licht and Schatten roaming in my room, sleeping on my bed or sometimes moving out in the terrace to take some sunlight.

I did not know the name of that man. All the workers over here were slaves of that ichor who are not allowed to speak his name. I was completely lost in my surrounding unable to comprehend anything.

'Butler Ayden, why was I brought over here?' I asked the old man in black suit with typical black bow. He was the official butler of this mansion who always brought me books when I told him that I knew how to read and write. He was a short man, shorter than the average height of men in this world, with a thin clean shaven papery face. He looked quite old for his age which was only sixty years with bags under his eyes and loose skin. He owned a pocket watch however his eyes were quite small and weak looking at if they were not open at all, or they were really not open since he always asked me the time.

'I do not know lady Noor' He said while busily cleaning the book shelf in my room which was recently filled with its fiftieth book.

'What is with this 'lady'? I am a slave just like you all'

'I don't think so. I have been with young master since the day he was born, he seems to treat you specially.'

'don't think that people who are special to you are made your slave so that they could never speak your name or utter anything you don't want to listen to. Special people are not made marionettes whose soul is possessed by you'

'Maybe young master feels that whatever he loves will be taken away from him. In this insecurity he deems such a ruthless method as last choice.

'That is some serious insecurities.' I said lightly not sympathizing at all

'And it is more serious because Lady Noor is very special to him',

'Yes, because he wants me to kill him' the words slipped unconsciously. The familiarity I built with the butler was too heartwarming that my old habits of telling people my worries kicked in.

The old man's hand stopped.

Shit! I said something really bad. He might not bring me books anymore!

'Is that so. You are more special to the master than I thought.'

'Huh? What is with the young master. Why does he want to die? A near immortal being cannot die at the hands of the lowest rank Vish Kanya.'

'Young master has lived many years of his life filled with despair and regrets. To think he has decided to take such a step fills me with melancholy and peace'

'Hey old man! Stop this drama and tell me seriously what is happening I know ichors can live up to a thousand years. Young master certainly looks young but it is possible that young master is actually not very young. If you tell me I might be able to help'

'Lady Noor, young master needs your help. He is suffering and only you can do it.'

'Suffering' I snorted at this. 'That man has everything in this world. Power, money, mansions and most probably authority. What else does he need so that he becomes satisfied?'

Ayden looked straight at me. I could not guess his eyes were open or closed however they looked straight into my soul. It was a chilling experience.

'Lady Noor do you really think that these materialistic things really matter when you have lost all hope?' The butler left after saying this.

Ahh. When did I become so bratty? Maybe living with those prostitutes really made my mind materialistic. Or it was my self-pity that made me feel that every body's problem is far inferior to mine. My eternal darkness is deeper than anyone. It was a seriously foolish superiority I had in my mind.

I once asked my brother what he desired most in life. He was a sweet brother even though he was three years my senior. The young man in all honest told me that he wanted our family to stay healthy so that we can stay forever together. I asked him why did he not choose immortality? Or money or fame? He smiled at me, calling me naïve and saying that these things would never give you happiness when you do not have your loved ones to share it with .
