Earth's Lavender (The Party)

For the next few dat Hykife life seemed to move in slow motion. He went to class as usual. His teacher must of spoken with Mr.Goue. Each student had individual engineering projects. It was free style. Anything related to engineering could go. He wonder how Mr.Goue pull this off. He went to work. His boss called him into his office. He had received an fax from Mr.Goue. Hykife was shocked how far Mr.Goue went to ensure he attended this thrip. Mr.Goue has explained the trip and his role as an chaperone. Who also had an exam project.

So the two months for the trip was covered at work.

On Friday he didn't have class. So he started his layout for his live documentary on African engineering. The study hall was mostly empty. He typed 30 questions.

All to which he will answer day by day. He was jus doin whatever he could to past time. He didn't work on Fridays .So he just when to gym. That night he call his sister to make sure she told him everything about Jusi .

"Keify," Marlie used to her kids name. " You have to relax."

She cautioned him. "When was the last time you meditated." She asked him.

"This morning, after my afternoon workout,and I'm going to meditate before bed." He said.

"Well just sleep well. Everything will be fine,and you will meet your Jusi soon." Marlie must of been talking to mom again. They both had to convince her to go home and not coming chaperon the party but mostly their plans. Hykife knew his mother would used her energy to make Jusi aware of her own energy. Hykife didnt want that he knew his plan would be jus enough.

Marlie was in her room with her roommate listening to music. They were discussing there outfits for the party later. Marlie already knew what she wharing. Her energy color is pink. So she wearing a pink blouse wit deam jeans. The party starts at 5. Marlie is to get out there by 7. She is just tryn to follow Hykifes plans .He's been on edge lately and its nothing like him. According tho his plan she was to get drunk and need him to pick her up. The rest was up to him. Marlie jus hoped this would bring the energy mates together soon. Being of the same energetic line she could feel everyone in family basically getting ready for a new member. She knew her mother was going round tell everyone back home Hykife finally found his energy mate. Marlie knew she wouldn't be able to keep a secret long when her time came,but she also knew she had to try. She laughed at herself thinking about it now. The ringing of her phone brought her out of her thoughts. She looked at the ID. It was her twin brother Mike. "Mikey my twin."She greet her twin brother. "Twin sisters, what's all the energy craziness. I'm feeling. " He sounded worried. Marlie knew she would get this call soon. Hykife and Mike was close but not sharing feelings close. Even though their connected as brothers. Her mom always said "Its A boys thing."

"You know Kifey found his energy mate, right. " She announced kind of annoyed. "We're all feeling their energy connection. Once they finally meet face to face the energy levels will go back to normal ." She paused . "Or that's what mama and dad said. "

" Yeah I know all that. How Hykife holding. " Mike seemed concerned.

"Why what did u see." She asked him. She hasn't got a dream call from him in while. So she was course to see how his dreams relate to situation.

"I was at a party. Hykife was dancing. Only the woman her dance with had hair of Lavender flowers,and her eyes was a really earthy green." He explained the dream. " It was strange because usually I see a face.I couldn't see a face. "

Marlie relaxed than. He probably jus dreamed about the party.

"Jusi,Hykife energy mate name is Jusi. " Marlie continued digging in her closet. Her room had left the room so she could talk a lil more freely now.

"I'm sure u dream about them dancing tonight at her party. Hykife said he planned to dance with her." Marlie waited for a response. "Hello, Mike you still there."

"Marlie ,they where dancing in Egypt, dressed as king and queen. " Mike announced.

"Have you told mom and dad about this dream. " Marlie asked.

"No I wanted to share it with you first. " He exhaled.

"Well call and tell them. I'll talk to u later. Be safe"

"Ok,you do the same twin." He hung up.

Marlie knew the dream ment something. Her mother can figure that out. Marlie needed to do a little bit more information digging.

Hykife stayed as busy as he possibly could all day. After his morning routine he decided to go get a hair cut. He went to a the mall. Where he picked up a gift for Jusi. He wouldn't give it to her directly however. He planned to leave it somewhere in her house during the party. Where only she would notice it. The idea was last minute,as it came from a dream. He dreamed about Jusi meditating with different crystals around her.

She had on a long black dress. Her hair was free on shoulders, to hang down her back. He remembered wanted to touch the mass of curls. In her hand she held an healing crystal . Around her were peace, energy, love,life, and creativity. Lavender scent burned close by. Earth ,flower pedals swirled around in the air. She seemed to be pulling the vibration to her from each crystal. He watch from his angle, Lavender flowers blossomed from her hair. The crystals now floating in air,swirling with flowers. He wanted to touch her ,as even in a dream, the energy summons him . But his arm wound not move. No matter what he couldn't move his arm. Than she looked right at him. Her chocolate eyes were sparkled with lavender sparkles. He want to grab her nd hold her. She let everything fall to the floor. She walked to stand in front of him. Looking him in his eyes she spoke. "I can feel you." She reached to Lay her plam on his cheek. He woke up right than. Surrounded in lavender and earth scent.

He'd been walking round with that dream in his mind all day.

Jusi voice played over and over again . "I can feel you."

He had to do something to past time faster. It still 5 more hours til the party actually started. Marlie was getting there til 7,which mean he wouldn't show up til a few hours later. He already knew Marls is a lightweight when came to drinking.She hadn't mastered they ability to control substances in the body yet. Soon she'll be able to use her energy abilities to control her intake. So he knew that part of the plan was solid. She was a only 19 anyways,so she shouldn't be drinkn. Every freshman experience there first college party, and drink.So he made her promise to not over do it

Hykife was has made to his car before his phone ring.

Looking at the caller i.d. He frowned slightly as he read Mikey.

"What's up baby bro." Hykife answered.

"Hykife mom told me to tell u ..." He paused.

"Tell me what." Hykife now sat in his car. He hadn't started it yet. "Mikey, Tell me what."

"Jusi, your energy mate ,she a energy goddess. " He said.

Hykife heard him but his brain wouldn't process the information. Energy goddess. That mean she's can control and pull energy from anything or anyone.

"Are you sure." He asked his brother.

As Mikey explains the dream about them dancing in Egypt dressed as king and Queen. Hykife remembered his own dream. "Hykife, mom and dad think you to are an energy god." That brought him out of his thoughts.

"How is that possible. Wouldn't they have been know it."

Hykife asked confused.

" Mom and dad both were shocked when I told them about the dream. " Mike explained. " They are currently looking into the family energy line. "

Hykife couldn't understand how his parents and him what their whole life without knowing he may be an energy God.

Hykife was so focused on Jusi that he hadn't realized his energy powers had changed somehow . His senses are higher. His normal abilities have heighten incredibly. Just as he was about tho think it Mike said it.

"What if its ur energy love Jusi. "

Hykife thought about it. From the very second his count her scent. He couldn't understand why it was such a strong pull. He couldn't understand why he was feeling so much from her. He thought she was giving him those vibes and exchanging energy. He knew she wasn't raised knowing about her energetic heritage. Now he also has to deal with her goddess energy too.

" Mikey, try to block her energy callings. " He told his brother. " My energy love wasnt rasied energetic. She probably feel all of these different energy types and I dont want to scare her. " He continued to explain his brother.

"I have to call Marlie, she should be heading to her party now." Hykife said bye to to his brother. He was pulln into his parking garage than. His thoughts a toronado,he need to do some serious meditating. He need to talk Marlie first.

He now understood why the connection was strong that even his family was experiencing it. Even though they would naturally feel it because they are family. It's never been this intense before.

Just as he was dailing Marlies number her named poped up on his screen. They must of both been on the same wave link.

"Hykife!" Marlie didn't wait for a hello. "Jusi an energy goddess..."He was about to tell her he knew but she kept going. "Her mother and grandmother are too. Even her sister's. " Marlie was talking so fast anyone else wouldn't be able to understand her. Hykife was use to it however. She got like this when something excited her.

So the women of the family have this energy source, but for some reason it's been kept a secret. Hykife mind was everywhere at that moment. He wonders what could force a family to keep such a secret from their children

Was it a some type of danger? Are they scared they won't be able to control their power? Why is this family women force to keep secrets? Than he wondered if the men of the family has this same energy source.

"Hykife Hummins." Marlie shouting his name brought him back to the conversation. "Are you listening to me?" Marlie asked wit an attitude.

"No ,I'm sorry. " Hykife apologize "I was just wondering why the big secret." He said thoughtfully.

He heard her let out an aggravate breath. "Ugh..if you had been listening to me..." She was talking even faster. He could also feel her energy levels getting higher.

"Marls, relax your energy ." He spoke in a calm voice. His calm will fall over her calming her as well. He could feel her energy levels going back to normal.

"You know what happened the last mom felt your energy levels spike. " He laughed. He knew she would calm down instantly after that comment. Their mom connection with her children was on a different level, However her connection with Marlie was even stronger since she's the only girl .

"I'm calm now." Marlie spoke in her normal tone.

"Now repeat everything I missed. I'm definitely listening this time." He promised his sister.

He heard buttons been pressed than.What the hell was doing? "Marls,why are you tex.."he stared to ask her. She cut him off though. "Look at the picture. " Marlie said.

He put Marlie on speaker so he could opened her messages,the picture pop up instantly.

As he was studying the picture, Marlie explained what he been looking at. "That picture is of an ancient family from Africa. "She explained. "This family was said to be among the first families to harvest energy as we do. The only difference between them than and us now is they didn't have to hid it. So I came naturally to them. They could pull energy form any object of their chosen. Stones,crystals, earth it self ." Marlie continued to explain. "The women of this tribe were the sole energy source. They even used sex as an energy source. " Hykife interrupted her than.He didnt like the sound of that. "What do u mean 'sex as an energy source '." He asked confused.

" Before battles the woman would have seen with them to transport energy to the men. These were husband and wife exchanges. There were no forced mating for energy or anything like that. But if a warrior didn't have a wife the chief wife would pick a woman for him who match his energy. Or I guess it's best to say she could feel if their energy were a match. To which in they were often married because of this energy matching. " Marlie explained .

Hykife thought about this for a minute. "Ok so sex was energy for jus men goin off to battle. "

"Yes among other thing but that's off the subject. " Marlie end that part conversation.

"So what does this tribe have to do with my Jusi. " He demanded.

"You'll have to talk mom for a more detailed explanation..."

"Wait mom ." He interrupted her again.

"Yes she was doing some research on energy goddess back home in the school library. " Marlie said. "After Mikey told us about his dream of you and Jusi dancing as king and queen ,she's been deep in research about her ' new future daughter inlaw'."

"I'll call her after the party tonight or in the morning...I want to get my Jusi in my arms first. Now what was you saying before. "

He promt her to continue. Marlie continued to explain the connection. "You didnt connect engery bond, Jusi did. Even though she doesn't know she did. Mom believes her mother knows she did as well."

Hykife thought about that first time they ran into each other. The clouds of lavender and earth that exploded around them. Then when he would sense her scent without been more than 10 feet by her. She was unknowingly connecting them. This just completed the situation more. How was he supposed to tell her they're energy mates and she the one who connected them.

"So does this change our plan any." Marlie had hope it would. She didn't like drinking just yet since she hadn't yet mastered the substance control thing yet.

"No not even a little bit. She gone be drawn to you anyways and you been a freshman at a upperclassman party,she will definitely have her eyes on u and your friends." He told her calmly.

Marlie was ready to be dont with this. All the crazy mixed energies happening in her family right now was kind of exhausting. She'd been meditating 3x more than usual this week alone. She was actually on her way to the party now. She'd been get dressed most of their conversation. She decided to walk to to the senior drooms. Its was kindof pointless to take her car since she would be getting picked up anyways. Her roommate was meeting her later,because she had to work. Which would give a another another chance to feel Jusi energy.

"Kifey, I'll see u later than ..I'm walking to the senior senior drooms now." She informed her brother.

"See you later sis." Hykife hu g up the the phones.

He looked at his watch. It read 7:30. He could shower meditate and take a nap all before 10. He made it his business to not think about Jusi and there connection till he got to her party. The closest of everything will certainly have her questioning something. Atleast he hoped so.

There were Lavender balloons on the mailbox of the single senior apartment. In the yard a black Honda parked. The inside was decorated with Lavender everything. The front porch held a " Happy birthday " banner. Which was too surrounded by balloons in Lavender and gold. From the door music could be heard.

Drake Controlla was playing. The party was in full swing.

There was a crowd already enjoying themselves. The energy was high. There seemed to be a Lavender earth tinted animating from the appartment itself. Any normal person wouldn't see it.The appartment itself seems to draw you it. Marlie could only stand on the porch for second, absorbing all the positive energy coming from the appartment. Than she heard the door open.

"Hello, welcome .Come on in ." Marlie recognize Jusi before she recognized her. She must of felt me at the door. How can she use her abilities without knowing she's using them

"Thanks." She muttered.

"There's food and drinks in the kitchen. " She pointed around the stairs. "Or you can join everyone on the dance floor. " Jusi pointed to was obviously the livingroom. Marlie head towards the kitchen with Jusi right behind her.

Jusi was talking from behind. "There are non alcoholic beverages for lowerclassmen such as yourself. " "That table there under the window is fruts,vegitables,sandwiches, and salads. " She continued to explained the Lay out of the food.

Jus than Jusi looked her right into her eyes. Marlie could have sworn she was looking right her at her soul.

" Your....Marlie right. " Jusi recognize her than. "You often sit my section at the cafè."

"Yeah me a d a few usually have study groups there. "

"Yes the study group. Are you partying alone tonight."

" Yes and no. A few of my friends are coming later once their off from work."

"Well in that case ,grab a bite to eat. Stay away from the alcoholic beverages though. " Jusi gave her a serious face. "Enjoy yourself, find me if you need anything. "

For some reason Marlie knew she wouldn't need to actually find her. She could feel her. Even now as she dances with the others in the livingroom.

Msrlies phone buzzed . She rolled her eyes thinking it was her brother. It was a message from her roommate Suz. Letting her know she got off a little early a d was on her. She replied back a quick "Ok ." Also tell her to walk because she had them a ride back to the freshman drooms. Marlie than made a plate of fruit and salads. She even made a quick drink. She jus add 4th of the mixed alcoholic beverage to an half cup of regular juice. A quick sip to taste and their plan was officially in action.

Around 9 p m Hykife found it hard to stay home waiting. He had showered, meditated , and took a nap all on hour increments. The time still didn't seem to moving. He woke up nd it was jus hitting 9 PM. He than decided to wait the rest of time at the cafe. He brushed his teeth and quickly pull on a long sleeve black shirt and blue jeans. He decided to share his dress shoe because they were comfortable .He headed for the cafe. He was6gar drink his destination when his phone ringed. He'd hoped it was Marlie,the wait was more than he expected. He was disappointed to see it as actually his dad.

He answered with a frown. His dad didn't call unless he was forced by mom. " Hey dad 'everything ok. " He asked.

"Your mother insists i call ...although I dont understand why." He knew he was talking to her.

He heard his mother in the background her word were a muffled. "He just found out his energy mate is an energy goddess...and to make matters harder ahe haa no idea about any of this." She must of gave him a good head slap,Hykife head his father's light cry in pain " Now talk to your son Pharoe. " Hykife held in the laughter. His parents had been tog6for so long he often wondered if his father did things he do just to get mom reaction.

"Well she in the office now. I'm not gone take to much time. Just remember what u already know about her through the connection. She bonded yall so she will feel definitely feel your energy. Use that but don't push her."

As he listened to his father. He felt a shock wave wash over him. He knew it was Jusi. She seemed to be waiting on him. He was moving before his mind registered the action.

"Dad I have to go." He has already made ro his car and started it up. "Tell mom to relax Marls is fine and well cal first thing in the morning. " He didn't wait for a response. Hang up the phone he sent a quick message to Marlie letting her know he was on the way.

The cafe wasnt far from the campus. He took his time however. It seem the closer he got...the stronger the pull." Hykife knew she wasn't doing by knowledge. He looked down at his watch. It has jus hit 10:15. Freshman curfew was at 12. He decided than to change up a few things about the plan. If she has connected the energy than maybe she knew more than was frist believed.

He didnt need directions. He literally jus followed the energy pull. Witch led him to the back of Spelmans campus. Judging from the single appartment he figured this was senior drooms. Which was probably been rented out through the school. He knew which appartment was Jusi off pure sight. There was cars pulled anywhere that was available to part. The lavender balloons and streamers that hung around the front door moved lightly in the breeze. Standing on the porch he was overwhelmed with the earthy lavender scent tha surrounded him. His eyes closed for a second on their own, as the scent sent multiple waves of positive vibrations through him. He could feel them getting closer and closer. Moving almost at hyper speed. The closer they got the calmer he felt. The were consist and right after the other. Than he hired the door open.

"Welcome to my party." The voice chimed in his ear. His heart stopped beating as he open his eyes. The smiling woman at the door had her into a puff ball on top of her head. Her chocolate brown eyes were bright with excitement...but also held a bit of shock. Her Lavender blouse and simple blue jeans made her cream chocolate skin look like silk. Hykife could only stair for a second. This is my Jusi. His energy was in a calm vibrating race. She now down frown at him. Than her eyes widen.

She recognized me he thought. He could feel the energy between them pulling. He wanted to hug her so bad,but he restrained himself. "I'm Hykife Hummins. " He smiled offering his hand. She shook his hand still with an confused frowned look on her face. He wondered if she could feel the energy pull as well. " I'm looking for my sister Marlie ."He explained still hold her hand. She looked at their hand together not sure why she still held his. As of something this she jerked her hand from his.

"Well you're welcome to look round. " Jusi smiled as she moved aside to let in. Hykife did his best to not stair at her. Even though she was looking at him with with a questioning gazed.

"There food and drinks in the kitchen." She explained. "you can look around for sister on the dance floor. "

Jusi rush away. He watch disappear into the lil crowd. Second later he saw her pointing him out to another female. He pretend to look for his sister. He located his sister the moment he entered the appartment. she was indeed on the dance floor...doin a line step with her sister's. It was clear to she had maybe one more drink than planned. He just laughed because he knew how much a lightweight his sister was.She probably didn't finish her drink. He decided to started her lessons on substance control soon.

Hykife cought sight of Jusi and the other female slipping into what he assumed was the restroom. He couldn't hear them but he knew he could sense what they were talking about. He went to stand a few feet away from the door. Taking a deep breath he relaxed every thing in him. Letting their already connected energy pull him from reality. Even though he knew he stood in the middle of a party in the hall. His soul was now lookn through Lavender lens. He couldn't hear them but he knew she was taling about him. He could feel her confusion. He could tell she knew who his sister was . He could feel her sensing him. Open his eyes he went to Marlie. Looking at his watch it was almost freshman curfew.

Marlie was on the dance floor with her roommate. They were dancing to a Drake. As Hykife appeared the pair he noticed the older couple on the dance floor.

He taped Marlie on the shoulder. " it's almost freshman curfew. Meet me in the kitchen in 5 minutes. " He quickly walked away from her not wanting Jusi to see her doins his sister just yet.

He has perfect timing, just as he made his way to the kitchen Juis and friend was walking in too. Theirs eye meet instantly. He wondered what she told her friend .

"Have you found your sister yet." Jusi asked.

Hykife offered his best grimace. " I did for second but a song came on and her friends pulled her away again. "

"Well its almost freshman curfew. " Jusi said looking at her watch. "I'll be making that announcement in few. "

List as she finished her sentence. Marlie came stumbling into the kitchen.

"Bih bro" Marlie greeted him over the already loud music.

"How is she so intoxicated. " Jusi wondered out loud.

"I've been keeping an close eye on all the freshman. "

Hykife was laughed. "She not really a drinker. " He explained. "She probably didn't have much of anything. " He shook his head still laughing at his. He didn't expect her to actually drink since she didnt have the substance control down just yet. He us glass she had fun though.

He decided to scoop Marlie up in his arm. He noticed Jusi looking at them with intense confusion. Could she feel the connection to them.

"I'm sorry about this..." Jusi didnt get the chance to finish the apology. "Dont rise your energy over it." Hykife interrupted her. " You should make that freshman curfew announcement..." He was walking to the door Marlie still in his arm. He waited for her to make the announcement.

Jusi looked at the door the freshman were leaving but Hykife still stood there. She wonder what he was waiting on.

" I'll need someone to open to the door of my car. " He explained. "Oh yes of course .She leas the way

He didnt say anything, just made the lights flash. She assumed he unlocked the doors.

Jusi opened the door and was immediately immised by the scent. He and car have off a familiar svent.One she recall but didn't know why.

She steord back than allowing hime to lay his sister in the back sit.

Jusi was walking back in side when he spoke. "I'll be back.Im going to make sure she in bed .

Jusi wasn't sure why that excited her but calmed at the same time. "Ok ,I'll still be here.,"She went back to party.

Jusi knew that scent. It's like she been amellingbit all her life. She knew Marlie from the study group that sat in her section at work. She recognized Hykife from her freshman year, the collided in the English corridor. She now knew they were brother sister. It was something about the siblings that she couldn't place though. She felt as if she always had known them. They connect some how. It was as if they met in another life and finally got back in touch.

She relies to focus on her party, however she found herself waiting on Hykife return. Shacking her head at her silliness she joined the rest of the party. He said he would come back and for some reason she could feel he was going too.
