Chapter 40 : Desert Rush

Mawson had lost half of his energy and he knew that it would take him forever to regain it if he just layed there and he didn't want to waste much time in the desert cause he was already hungry and he needed to eat so he got up from the floor as he stood in the dark temple, looking round he couldn't see anything so he used his flames to light up the dark as he began his search for the skull inside the temple. There was an altar right in front of Mawson but the temple had a lot of pillars so Mawson had to well slowly so he wouldn't hit any as he walked towards the altar. His flames where burning brightly so he could see a small sand chest on the altar, he then bent down and lifted the chests lid expecting to find the skull but instead a toxic white gas was released from it which he immediately and unconsciously inhaled. The gas was a strong mist of poison it was a deadly tool against any kind of enemy its strong odor was lethal to any being and every of its particles was on it's own deadly to the being. Mawson layed on the floor as he held his throat his body had turned green as he felt he was been eaten alive or better yet been dissolved his body felt as if he was thrown into the sun as it was burnt. He didn't know what to do all he wanted to do was scream from the excruciating pain he was feeling now but he still couldn't scream as his body was paralyzed the poison was just to strong and he knew he would die any second and this scared him because he knew he might not come back to life after this looking at his chances of survival he had an idea which seemed risky but also might work and since he was holding on to his life by a slim thread he decided to take a leap of fate as he inhaled the remaining poison into his body making his body became more green, when the poison enters his body they become parasites feeding off his energy which was excruciatingly painful so now as the poison was feeding off his energy he was feeding off of theirs which in turn destroyed them as he drained the energy of each of them but soon he noticed that with every one he drained his energy kept decreasing even faster than he gained and he knew he couldn't survive this but he kept killing them increasing the speed he used in destroying them and eventually he destroyed each of them before his own energy depleted and his lifeless body layed there .

Josie had just taken a shower and was now dressing she had slept in one of the rooms and so did Denver they had both taken a room which they had slept in.

After her shower Josie headed out to get some provisions for the kitchen, she was also to buy a car so she used the opportunity to head to a dealer shop although she had wanted Denver to follow her to the dealers shop so he could compel them for a better price but the house was huge and she didn't know which room he was in and Denver didn't have a phone yet so eventually she got tired of looking for him and left for the shop without him.

Denver on the other hand was on the third floor of the house in the last room on the corridor he layed shirtless on the bed exposing his well builder body his pax could be seen as they bulged out and where clearly visible his black hair shone brightly as he looked more beautiful and peaceful as he slept but as soon as Josie stepped out of the house he opened his eyes as his inner senses struck opened alerting him of what had happened making him get up and put on a shirt as he ran out at vampire speed as he appeared right in front of the exiting car shocking Josie as she stepped on the breaks, Denver would not be affected by the collision but she can even die from that kind of hit

"why did you do that I could have hit you" she asked watching him walk towards the door

"I wouldn't have been hurt" he replied as he opened the door and sat down

"well I would have I could have died from that or worse you would have destroyed the car making it hard for me to leave" she replied as she pressed a button which automatically opened the gates to the mansion as she drove out

"well I didn't want you to leave " he replied

"you would have still caught up with me so what was the need of trying to kill me" she asked

"fine sorry now can you concentrate on the road" he replied pointing towards the road making her look in r

the direction he pointed.

They drove to the dealership to buy a second sports car they had to go to four different dealership to get what they wanted it was a stressful day and after they had bought the second car they headed for a grocery shop so they could buy some items for the kitchen before they both headed back to the mansion
