Ruby and Elizabeth (First Sleepover)

(Liana) "So then how did they end up always sleeping together? There has to be a story behind that, right?"

Lillian nodded with a grin on her face.

(Lillian) "During Ruby's first visit, Liz was really attached to her. Though because of the year difference, at first, she just looked up to her. But I'm really not sure when, it turned into something… different."

Liana raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

(Lillian) "Liz was so attached to her that she refused to leave her side until we pretty much forced her away from her."

(Liana) "Are you sure it was that bad?"

Lillian nodded, laughing softly.

(Lillian) "Well, it's not like Ruby was helping much. Although she didn't show it, her thoughts clearly said she felt the same way."

(Liana) "So how does this end up with them sharing a bed?"

Lillian chuckled.

(Lillian) "It happened on Ruby's first visit. Robyn and I were trying to get Liz away from Ruby so that we could both turn in for the night."

(Recollection, but Lillian is telling it to Liana) "Liz, it's time to go back. You have to let Ruby sleep. You can play with her again in the morning, okay?"

Six-year-old Liz clung onto seven-year-old Ruby, refusing to leave her.

"No! I stay with Blue!"

Liz pouted indignantly, but it just looked cute to Lillian and Robyn.

"Liz… it's late and Ruby needs to rest as well."

Liz shook her head and Ruby gave them a helpless look. However, Lillian and Robyn both knew that Ruby actually felt the same way as Liz. Lillian was holding Robyn's hand for two reasons: the first was because she enjoyed holding her hand, and the second was that she found both their sister's thoughts so amusing she wanted Robyn to be able to hear it as well.

"How about we let them have a sleepover? We can move an extra bed into Ruby's room."

Both the younger girls' eyes lit up at the idea. Lillian sighed but nodded.

"Just for one night, okay?"

Liz and Ruby grinned while nodding wildly. Lillian and Robyn had to try their best to hold back their laughter. Both Liz and Ruby were plotting to find a way to make their sleepover longer than one night. Though, Liz's plotting wasn't as secret as Ruby's. Robyn directed her thoughts to Lillian:

'What are you going to do if they actually come up with a viable idea?'

Lillian responded by using a different spell that allows her to send her thoughts straight into people's heads.

"Probably just let them do as they please. There's no harm in it, at least not yet."

Robyn chuckled softly and said,

"Okay then. We'll get the extra bed in—"

She was cut off by Lillian snapping her fingers and shrugging.

"Done."

"O-okay…"

Liz chuckled, knowing Robyn still wasn't used to Lillian just using her magic to do things randomly, but still didn't let go of Ruby.

"Yay Blue I get to stay with you tonight!"

END OF RECOLLECTION

(Lillian) "That night, according to both Liz and Ruby, Ruby woke up and found Liz shivering in her bed and decided to sleep with her to warm her up. The next morning Ruby asked whether she could continue to sleep with Liz to keep her warm, since she seemed to be having trouble with her body temperature."

Liana laughed; an expression of disbelief mixed with amusement written on her face.

(Lillian) "As promised, I just let them do what they wanted. That was probably the first time Ruby openly displayed that she enjoyed spending time with Liz more than she usually let on."
