Xander was happy with his current achievement, and regardless of what has happen the thing that he was most excited about about was the crystals that he was going to receive from Marcus.

Once a duel was made any condition of the winner was to be fulfilled by the loser, it was a sacred tradition that has lasted for thousands and thousands of years.

And if for whatever reason the person who lost refused to fulfil the winners request, the loser would be stripped of a lot of respect and in some cases be reduced to a lower position or stripped of having any title whatsoever.

And this all made Xander happy because with the way he looked at Marcus, the only thing that could be used to describe him was an arrogant, stubborn and rude person.

In the short time that he had known Marcus he seemed to be a strong headed person who believed that only him was to give orders and instructions, and he was too good to take orders and instructions from people.

Especially from level ones and though Xander was not a level one, with the way he was treated so far in the school he felt like one.

And the only time he felt as if he was not a level one was either when he looked at his system to see his achievement, or when he was hunting beasts and killing them and you know and some rude and stubborn people who didn't deserve to live.

Xander who was struggling to be set free from Kelvin and Alvin's hold, finally calmed down and kelvin and Alvin reluctantly let go of him.

"You remember the condition applied to this duel right"

"Well just in case you forgot I will help you remember the condition if I win you are to give me a few medium tier crystals", Xander said with a smirk tingling at he end of his lips.

Marcus managed to get up but his face was still full of his own blood, and he felt extremely weak and even him could hardly believe that he was beaten and reduced to a pitiable state all because of a level one.

He was confident that he would be the one who would win and he was so confident that he would win that he didn't bring a weapon, and he didn't even train himself.

But he had to comply to Xander's request because not only was it part of the duel, but he also believed that Xander earned the crystals because even at the start of the fight he was impressed that the boy able to put up such a good fight against a drown man like him.

And what was worse was that he was a knight of the Great lake Academy, it was the best in the four nations.

When Xander entered the training Hall wearing a mask, he thought that Xander just wanted to hide his fear.

But as he thought more about it perhaps it was to avoid unwanted attention, maybe he already knew that he was going to win and he was just too proud.

"Yes...I remember what the condition of he duel", Marcus said and The reason he paused mid sentence was because it was obvious that Xander didn't want the attention of the students that were present.

"Give him the crystals", Marcus said to a man and the man did as he was told.

"Pleasure doing business with you", Xander said with a huge grin on his face.

Xander, Kelvin and Alvin left the training Hall and as soon as the door was locked behind, them the three of them bolted towards their room.

And the reason for this was so as to prevent students from jumping on Xander to tear his mask to see his face.

"Man that was close", Xander said with a smile as he locked the door and fell on his bed.

Kelvin and Alvin were just silent and it became so much that Xander could swear that it much more worse than the fight.

"Guys what's up, I didn't fight and your worried and now I beat him like the scum that he is and now you're silent", Xander said and his voice was pleading with them to give him an answer as he was worried.

And after a while Kelvin gave Xander the answer that he, no himself and kelvin were looking for.

" How on earth did you beat Marcus ". Kelvin asked starring at him and Alvin joined him in starring at Xander as if if would make him talk faster.

"OK fine", Xander said with a defeated look in his face and a loud long and deep sigh escaped his lips before he started talking.

"Since I had no ability my mother used to train me very hard everyday so I won't be weak".

"She trained me so hard that I sometimes wondered if she was being unnecessarily wicked to me", Xander said while trying to get his act together.

"But not until the text to get to this place came did I see how much she cared for me", Xander said with a smile and he made sure his eyes looked a bit sad about leaving his mother.

And in truth it wasn't that hard since really missed his mother,so very very much. His friends paused for a moment before Alvin finally broke the silence.

"It's okay, we understand", Alvin with as much gentleness as he could put into his voice.

"Yeah dude, we get you. We miss our folks too but we have to stay strong", Kelvin said with a smile and Xander returned the smile.

"I guess now am free from questions", Xander asked after a while of silence.

"Sure you are", Kelvin said." But just don't go around doing anything insane OK", he added.

"I will", Xander said... although he wasn't sure if he would be able to keep to his promise.
