10. Treasure exchange and first mission

On the next day Mariel put on his uniform which was purple with red outlines as he was about to leave the dorm.

"According to information, when I reach master mage I'll be given a robe" he said as he put on the attire, it was a fitted white shirt and a purple trouser with red stripes and outlines and it came with a jacket which was very cool.

He then put the electrocuting function on the bed as he smirked.

'Hehe, if anyone tried to get on my bed they'll be in for a shock'. And with that he left for the exchange Hall.

Following the school map he arrived at the exchange Hall some minutes later, he walked to the counter where there was a young woman there.

He smiled at her as he said, "I'll like to convert money for solace gold".

The lady at the counter calculating something raised her head. Looking at Mariel's face for some time.

Noticing the awkwardness he broke the silence, "Is something wrong with my face?" he asked, snapping her out of her daze.

"Oh n..nothing, um, how much will you like to exchange?" she asked in a flushed tone.

"100 million dollars" Mariel said as he handed her his cards, the school currency card and the bank card.

Solace academy had their own currency and it's not surprising as the school is extremely large and people all over the world come.

The exchange rate for European dollars is 1 dollar for two solace gold Nigerian naira is 10 naira for 1 solace gold, as an American Mariel's exchange rate is 5 dollars to one solace gold, of course, there are other currencies.

"Done, 25 million solace gold is in the currency card" she said as she handed him the card.

'Now, to get a weapon', of course he couldn't go on missions without a weapon, if it's monstersd then it's suicide not to carry a weapon.

Mariel made his way to the man at the store where different types of weapons were displayed in glass cases.

"Hello sir, I'd like to purchase a weapon" he said to the man in the store.

"What rank of weapon do you want, we don't have any SS rank weapon so from E to S" the man said.

"Um..sorry but can you explain" he said as more things were confusing him.

"The ranks of weapons we use are F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, and R. The school has never had an SSS and a R ranked weapon before but they can be found in the black market" the man said as he typed something on a screen.

"Wow! The school has a black market" Mariel was feeling that the school is very similar to a city. It was big...no, large, it had restaurants and comfortable places. It was just a huge learning ground for people.

"The F rank weapons are made with ordinary iron ore, E rank weapons are infused iron ores that have Mana flow, D rank to A rank are made from beast parts and special elements. The letters are to separate their rank" the man explained.

"What about the S and above?" Mariel asked. "The S rank weapons and above that are made from special rare items and beast parts and have extra boosts and abilities depending on the type of beast parts used" he explained.

'Levi, what rank is the sword that my mom gave to me?' Mariel asked inwardly.

{The sword given to you is at the RRR rank, he didn't mention the ranks above R which are the SR, RR, SSR, SRR, RRR and Z. The Z rank weapons are can't be found on this realm}.

'okay' Mariel proceeded.

"Do you have any S rank weapons preferably a sword?" he asked as he trained with swords in his free time at home.

"Yes, I do" the man smiled as he found a big spender. He went in and after some time came out with three boxes with luxurious designs.

"These are the swords I have" the man said as he opened all the cases. The first case contained two short swords that was tagged 'Lightning blades', the outlines were pulsing with a blue light and looked very cool to hold, Mariel could tell that the weapon was filled with energy because of the lines that glowed.

They were very beautiful swords but Mariel liked one handed swords more, he moved on to the next sword which was a sabre, it was made with black ore and dragon scales as the blade was pitch black, 'Super cutter' was on the tag, it was an extremely sharp sword but he didn't like the colour and design as it gave him a dark feeling.

The last sword was a long sword and it came with a sheath, the sword was glittering and the blade was purple in colour it looked like little stars were on the blade and it was designed with a star shape above the handle.

'Swiftblade' ,out of the three swords the swiftblade was extremely expensive with a whooping price of 15 million solace gold, more than half of what he has. Does he have a choice though?.

"I'll take this one" he said as he took the sword from the box, swinging it around. It was perfect in weight and size as if they were made for him.

"ooh, you have good eye, I was told that the sword was made from a star" the man smiled.

Mariel put the sword in it's plain black sheath as he then handed his card and made the payment.
