Jace laid Elsie on Jasmine's bed, then spread the thick cream-colored blanket up to the girl's chin. Elsie's breathing was slow and rhythmic. His body twitched a little, as if trying to adapt to the new circumstances around him, though he kept his eyes closed and asleep.
