"Good if not," Mary interrupted Jo's thoughts. He took a deep breath, then let it out long. "I'm going, to marry someone, Joseph Robert Bryant."
Marylou's last sentence managed to jolt Jo out of her crazy reverie. He stared intently at Mary's two bewitching gray eyes at that moment. Marry? With someone?
"Don't joke and lie."
"I wanted to lie by saying that I went to avoid being chased by the paparazzi." Marylou smirked. "But, it seems to be honest even better. I've been in a secret relationship with my boyfriend since I wasn't a star. Yes. And he will marry me."
Jo's fists were clenched into fists so tightly that the veins appeared with reddened skin. But he remained unmoved.
"Good thing you don't have a crush on me, Jo." Mary's beautiful smile burned Jo's throat. "I'm worried about your feelings."
"Then why did you say you wanted to enter my world, Marylou??"
