Eclectic Loutwits

Author's Note: it makes sense, I assure you.

At the Dojima household.

The four of us were sitting at the dinner table.

"The 4th and the 5th. I think I might be able to get the 4th and the 5th off." Dojima said

"Really!?" Nanako asked excitedly. "Really?"

"What you don't believe me?" Dojima asked

"It's always canceled." Nanako said

"N-not every year! I know you wanted to go to Junes, but I wouldn't mind going a little further out of the neighborhood." Dojima said

"Really!? Can we go on a trip?" Nanako asked

"Well, it might be ok to go on a trip once in a while. I'm sure it'll be crowded everywhere though." Dojima said

"Yaaay! We're going on a trip!" Nanako said

"Hmm, alright alright. Then we need to think of someplace to go. How about you two, you want to come along with us?"

"I'd love to." I said

"Yeah! Let's all go together!" Nanako said

"*chuckle, Looks like Nanako wants us all to go."

"Let's bring boxed lunches!" Nanako said

"Yeah, good idea. We're always eating side dishes for dinner. But I can't cook, and Nanako's not good enough yet to make them by herself. Well, it'll work out, that's what we've got these guys for, huh Nanako?" Dojima said as he patted us on the shoulders

"Yaaay! Boxed lunches!" Nanako said

Well it's a good thing I'm a one man army. Multitasking will be a sinch.

Yu and I headed upstairs for the night.

May 1

It's a day off. Let's see what Marie's up to, I mean aside from not much since she's stuck in that limo. Not much has changed, as expected.

"Huh? Oh you wanted to see me? Well now that your here, take me somewhere lively. I want to go see Joo Nes, I heard about that place." She said

"Before you leave, I'd like to have a word with you." Margaret said to me. "Don't worry, I won't take much of your time."

"Ok, what's up?"

"Normally an attendant here in the room such as myself is supposed to have a list of Personas I want you to bring me, as well as other requests that will aide you in growth, however, I have a more, personal request." She said as she brought out a strange object. It's a small wheel like shape, with about 22 triangular notches in it, each marked with a different seal of some kind. "This is the Arcana Manifesto, it was used to seal away the power of- you know what, that's, irrelevant at this point. As you can tell, it's missing several pieces. I scattered them across time and space to ensure they would never fall into the wrong hands, or the seals be broken at the wrong time. I would like you to gather them for me. In return, well, you'll see, I assure you you will be rewarded."

"Well, sounds easy enough." I asked

"The Manifesto has a built in compass that will direct you towards the shards. Bring the Fool, Magician and Priestess shards first, it will be easier to install them three at a time." She said.

I left the room with Marie.

I took her to the electronics department.

"Hey, what happened just now? "Time Sale" everyone was rushing to grab something called "Sallah Drezzing?" Whatever it is, it must be worth fighting for."

"Hey Y/n! What a coincidence! What're you doing here?" Chie asked as she ran up to us. "Who's this girl? She's so cute."

"She's a friend." I said

"Am I? Well, whatever." Marie said

"Oh, er, so can I ask for your name?" Chie asked

"Oh? Umm, Marie." She said. She looks Perplexed.

"Marie chan huh? Ooh that's a nice name. Oh, I'm Chie Satonaka! Nice to meet you!" Chie said

"Okay.." Marie said as she turned towards a TV. "I know what this is. It shows a lot of stuff."

"Oh, you came to look at the TVs too? Yeah I want one too. We still haven't replaced our old one." Chie said

"I don't want one! I don't, but, maybe, can you turn it to "Starscandalz?" She asked

"Can you even watch it in that room?" I asked

"What!? Why the hell not!? I mean, I didn't say I even wanted to! So, how do you watch it?" She asked

I went on to explain how to use a TV.

"Huh!? Are you one of those people who doesn't watch TV?" Chie asked

"There isn't one in the room." Marie said

"Really? Wow, you must have some really strict parents. Girl I don't think I could stand it, life without Kung Fu movies, brr!" Chie said

"Oh, but there's no Eclectic Loutwits in the room. I'll tell the nose to install one of those Eclectic Loutwits. There's nothing to do in there!" Marie said. She walked off.

I mean you could potentially have a party in there, drunk Igor, now that would be one hell of a show! Maybe not, he kinda looks likes he's stoned, or that he never gets any sleep. I don't know, kind of hard to tell.

"Hey wait! Marie chan? You don't even have electricity in your room!?" Chie asked

Remind me again why don't I just explain the situation to the others? It's not the weirdest thing we've seen here! It would save me a lot of hassle.

We followed Marie to the food court.

"Whew! That was the good stuff! I haven't had the steak in here in a while, but it really isn't all that bad." She said

"You literally just had it yesterday. Is 24 hours too long for you to go without steak?" I asked

She hit me.

"Marie chan you haven't eaten at all. You too Y/n. You've gotta eat if you wanna grow up big and strong! Just kidding, haha!" Marie said

"You eat too fast. You're gonna be fat one day." Marie said

Oh god this situation might turn ugly.

"I didn't need to hear that! Uh, I'll go get us some drinks. O-o long tea sounds good." Chie said

She ran off to get some drinks.

"Can you think about what your going to say before saying it, please!?" I asked

"Why!? I don't care what they think." She said

I am on the verge on losing my patience, happy thoughts happy thoughts.

".. there's a lot of people at this "Joo Nes" place. Why? Don't they have anything else to do? If they have TVs they should be watching them, instead of wasting their time here." She said

"Mommy I'm thirsty! I wanna soda!" A child said

"No, you just had one. You'll have to wait."

"I wannit I wannit!"

"I said no. You'll rot your teeth."

Marie was watching them as they ran off.

"Hey, do you think I was ever like that?" She asked

"You don't remember?" I asked

"Yeah, there's a lot I don't remember, everything... I don't remember anything. I was just walking, I had nowhere to go, and I ended up in that car. Then Margaret told me to stay there. She also gave me the name Marie, it'd be hard to get around without a name." She said

"That must be rough." I said

"I don't know, I can't even remember if it was tough. That's ok, it's not like it's troubling me or anything. But, I don't know why, this town is familiar to me." She said

"Do you remember anything else?" I asked

"I don't know. The only thing I remember, or more like "know", is that this is mine." Marie said as she pulled out an old bamboo comb out of her bag. "I had this from the start, it's definitely mine. But, so what? This doesn't help anything."

Well, she confided in me about her memory.

"You're searching for the "truth" right? You should stop, there's no such thing. This conversation's boring, let's talk about something else." Marie said

"Sorry to keep you waiting!" Chie said. "The shop was busy so I just ordered and came back here. They'll bring it to us when it's ready. Uh, is it me or is the mood a bit heavy around here? Don't worry you two, I ordered enough for all of us. Oolong tea for everybody!" She said

After talking with Chie and Marie, I escorted Marie back to the Velvet Room.
