The Kraken's Fall

At the darkest night, the two ships sailed for the north, it was a bit foggy so they could only see figures of each other's ship.

As they continued on their journey, they could hear a vibrating sound coming from the ocean, but couldn't see anything cause if the fog.

The was terrifying that it send chills through the spines of the sailors, "what was that" a sailor said as he shivered in fear.

One of the sailor went up to the crow's nest and pointed the masthead light at the ocean, everybody looked towards where the light pointed.

He search for a while when he saw a tentacle come out from the ocean, "it's the Kraken" he screamed

Everybody on both ships fell to their faces and prayed for Proteus to save them.

The head sailor from the other ship spoke "do not stop, keep going, one of us must survive" he shouted.

They continued moving with fear for they knew it was right behind them.

Just then its tentacles came out from the ocean pulling the ship into the water.

The sailors on the ship screamed for help.

"What is happening" the head sailor asked the man on the crow's nest.

"It....it got them" he said as he took off his hat and bowed his head, and soon everybody else did the same.

"Your sacrifice would not be forgotten" the head sailor said already plotting on our he would kill Proteus.

In that moment when the kraken took hold of the ship and started pulling it down, it was attacked by several sea creatures.

They were merpeople, squids, sharks, killer whales and many others who opposed Poseidon's rule came to take down the Kraken as Hera had requested of them.

After a few hits, the kraken loosed its grip on the both and went into the ocean.

The sailors could hear it scream but they couldn't see anything.

Just then one of them yelled "Long Live Proteus, the god of the ocean" and all of them followed suit.

The other ships with mourning sailors soon heard a sound of celebration, "what is that?" the captain asked the guy on the crow's nest.

"It's.... it's....." he couldn't complete his sentence for he was filled with joy

"Well spit it out"

"It's the ship" he screamed out in joy.

"What?"

Everybody on the ship soon looked up at him.

"They escaped the kraken" he said.

When the ship came closer to them, they could hear them more clearly as they chanted "long live Proteus, the god of the ocean".

With happiness in their hearts they joined in the chanting.

After numerous attacks the Kraken fell, and everyone one of them screamed for joy.

"Now everyone go home, before Poseidon's men arrive" a merman spoke

"We must return to the palace, before our absence is noticed" another spoke to him

Inside Atlantis a guard came to Poseidon to tell him of the fate of the Kraken.

"What?" He yelled.

The guard shivered in fear for Poseidon was truly a quick-tempered god and also very powerful.

"What happened?" he asked as he seemed to hold his anger in.

"We do not know my Lord, but it seemed to have been attacked" he spoke in fear and that offended Poseidon for some reason.

"Speak out" he yelled as he struck the guard with his left arm sending him flying

"Oh.....I see why you sent him instead" a guard said to his colleague who had made his junior tell Poseidon what happened.

"Well, someone also made me do it" he said

"Go find out what happened, now" Poseidon screamed at the guard.

"Yes my Lord" he quickly hurried out of the hall.

"My Lord" a merman walked into the room.

"What?" He asked furiously, it was the merman who told everyone to go home.

"Your chamber is ready" he said.

He called for one of his guard

"Yes my Lord" he answered

"Ready a few of my men, I shall go to Olympus tomorrow" he said as he went to his chamber.

Later on, the merman sent a message through a dolphin to Hera about Poseidon's visit to Olympus.

Inside the antique shop, Proteus felt a bit of surge, it was like his powers were returning.

"Whoa....whoa" his entire body was surging with energy but it was for a short period.

Just then his facials changed instantly.

"What happened?" Owen asked

"It is gone" Proteus

"What do you mean, they believe in you right?" He asked

"But it is not enough"

"Then we get others to believe in you" Owen said.

He was so angry, how could he just have a feel of his power just so he could be taken away from him. He barged out of the store.

"Where are you going?"

"To think" he said as he walked out of the shop......
