Chapter 40: Changes Made
A few days had gone by. The new jobs were going according to plan. Stephen, however, was still processing what his current situation had become. He had been truly unprepared for the tasks involved in taking care of an elderly man. The tasks so far included transportation, cooking, and more revealing actions such as assistance in changing the man's clothes.
Frances, on the other hand, was fully prepared for her new job. She had been practicing, late at night, on the musical's stage. Had Travis been involved in these rehearsals, he sure has been. However, while you may think that this would have caused France's dilemma, it did not. Her excitement for the role completely took away any and all emotional concerns that she had towards the man.
