The clank of foil hits each other in the courtyard of the homes of The Originals as Klaus teaches

Marcel to Fence. With Rebekah as his training partner.

"Attaque au fer! Now counter-parry!" Klaus instructs to a young Marcel.

The two exchange blows but Rebekah easily betters Marcel. "A hit! A palpable hit." Klaus calls

to a finish.

Rebekah removes her mask and Marcel follows, declaring to her, "I'm gonna marry you,

someday."

Rebekah merely smiles. Going along with a child's imagination and teases. "I would never marry

someone who couldn't best me in a duel." The two smile at each other before Rebekah lowers

her mask, "Another lesson?"

Marcel agrees by pulling his mask down and steps forward.

The two parry each other. Exchanging blow after blow. Marcel never bests Rebekah until, years

later, Marcel grows into a fine young man.

He duels with Rebekah. He was more fierce, more accurate. Faster and stronger with his swings.

That even Rebekah seems to have a hard time following and parrying his strikes.

Rebekah counters one of his swings but is close to the young man. So Marcel grabs her arms and

pins her to the wall behind them. The sword close to her neck.

Marcel steps back and they both remove their masks. And in the heat of a fierce battle, they lean

closer to each other. But as they were to close the distance, Klaus comes outside to see their

situation.

Both have to look and step away from each other before it escalates to a horrible ending.

Klaus orders Rebekah to leave, leaving the two alone, with Marcel having to explain the

situation.

"There's nothing going on between us, I swear it, on my life." Marcel said.

"Your life means something to me. Give me the privilege of honesty, or that cease will be the

case." Klaus warns.

So, Marcel did, confessing to him, "I like her, and I think it's mutual. But I haven't done

anything about it and I wouldn't." Her swears, "Not if-"

Klaus cuts him off, "And you won't. I love my sister, but she lacks fortunes when it comes to

men. They come and go for her. But I am the constant. She's my family."

Marcel could only let out a laugh, sarcastic, "Well, you said I was family. I have begged you to

turn me into a vampire."

"And I told you. I will turn you when you're ready." He promises, before adding, "You go near

Rebekah again, and you never will be." He warns.

Marcel did try. Barely.

One day, while Rebekah sits outside in the courtyard drinking tea, Marcel comes back from his

swim on the river.

"How was the river?" Rebekah asked, flustered from seeing Marcel without his top.

"It was cool, sweet." He comments, eyeing Rebekah.

Rebekah stands to leave, "I should go talk–" Before she could finish her sentence, Marcel

suddenly grabs her by the waist, shocking her. Then Marcel maneuvers them until he pins her to

the wall.

The two began locking lips. Hungry for each other.

Rebekah pushes him back with fear, "My brother will kill you."

"Then I'll die smiling," Marcel said, before kissing her again.

Someone then roughly grabs Marcel and throws him to a wall before pointing a sword to his

neck. "Did I not warn you?!" Klaus roars.

Rebekah quickly tries to de-escalate the situation, pleading with him to not hurt Marcel. "Klaus, I

beg of you! He's not like any other! You saw it in him from the very first day. You saved him.

Protected him." Rebekah leans closer, "You raised him."

That works as Klaus drops the sword after Rebekah pulls the arm down. "You are right, I

cannot."

A mere wishful thinking. As Klaus quickly turns his attention from Marcel to Rebekah.

Daggering her heart. "But you, dear sister. Need a lesson in what you can and cannot take from

me." Rebekah returns to another slumber.

"So," Elijah starts as he and Stolas walk into a garden, "Some of your family wants to visit my

home?"

Stolas sighs tiredly, "Unfortunately. Gremory and Sitri have been curious about my relationship,

for some reason, and have been dying to meet you and your family. They're back for a short

while and have taken the opportunity to force me to oblige to their troublesome reasons."

"Well," Elijah smiles softly and cradles her hand, "We'll get through this together. Surely they

aren't as bad."

With that comment, Stolas gave him a look.

"Doubt it. Gremory is…I haven't talked with him for some time now. And Sitri, ugh!" Stolas

rolls her eyes, "She's always been up my neck for so long. Trying to take everything I have for

herself."

"We'll get through this. Together." Elijah leans down and they share a sweet quick peck.

A few days have gone by and Gremory and Sitri have finally arrived. The Mikaelson and Elijah

prepare the house to the best as they can to welcome the two.

Hearing the knock on the door, Stolas sighs and prepares herself mentally before opening the

door. Their stood a handsome tall man and next to him a woman identical to Stolas if not for a

few differences.

"Gremory." Stolas gives a polite smile to the man. The man acknowledges with a nod. Stolas

turns to Sitri and nearly scowls. "Sitri." The name came out rather force.

"Stolas! So good to see you!" Sitri practically squeals, embracing Stolas.

Stolas forced a laugh. "I'm sure you did." She mutters sarcastically. She clears her throat and

leads them inside. "Please come in."

The three enter. They are welcome with the glow from the candle. Stolas leads them to the living

room where the rest reside. One person missing.

"Gremory. Sitri. Meet the Mikaelson." Stolas introduces.

Gremory bows while Sitri curtsy.

The Mikaelson stands up, lining up in front of the Goetia siblings. Stolas starts with the oldest in

the group. "This is Elijah. My lover." Stolas smiles lovingly.

"It is an honor to meet Stolas' family," Elijah said.

This causes Sitri to brighten up, much to Stolas' dismay. "Ah! So this is the man father

mentioned!" She giggles.

"Yes, moving on," Stolas replies quickly, turning to Klaus. "This is Niklaus, the second oldest."

Klaus reaches his hand out and shakes Gremory's, "Nice to meet you."

Gremory hums, unimpressed, "Hm. Yes." before dropping his hand back to his side.

Stolas moves on to the next. "And this is-" Before she could finish, the person cuts her off.

"No need, Miss Stolas." Marcel said, "I'm Marcel. I was taken in by the Mikaelson. Though I

would like to think I'm part of the family."

Klaus claps on Marcel's shoulder. They can see the slight flinch. "And you are. No need to doubt

that. Right, Marcel?" There was no warmth in those words. It sounded more of a taunt and a

warning than any other.

Stolas coughs awkwardly. "well, yes. And um…" She looks around, "there should be another…"

Her voice trails off.

Klaus turns to her, "Oh! If you're looking for Rebekah. Then I must apologize on her behalf. But

she may not be able to join us. In a while."

Elijah gives him a warning glare that Klaus merely brushes off.

"Oh, that's too bad," Stolas said sadly.

They "enjoy" their dinner with small talk. Well, as much as they can. There was obvious tension

with the Goetia siblings. Stolas would tell a story and Sitri would jump to make it about her.

Sitri would comment, and Stolas would reprimand her. And then there's Gremory. Who merely

watches on the sidelines.

Stolas stands up. "I need a breath of fresh air." She excuses herself and leaves. Giving Elijah a

look not to follow her.

Sitri soon follows, not shortly after.

They both went to the courtyard.

"Is there a reason to follow me, dear sister?" Stolas finally asked after minutes of being followed.

"Oh, no need for that. I merely wanted a bit of fresh air myself." Sitri said with a smug.

Stolas sighs. "Then you can enjoy it here. I'll go somewhere else then." She turns to leave. As

she passed Sitri, she called out, "How long do you plan on avoiding me?" Sitri asked, annoyed.

"When I get a proper apology," Stolas answers blankly.

Sitri groans, rolling her eyes, "Are you still hung up on that? I already did, remember?"

"No. I do not think you have realized. Nor do you understand I want nothing to do with you."

Stolas said.

Sitri laughs mockingly, "What? Scared I'll take him away as well?"

Stolas shakes her head. "No. Because I know he will never fall for your weak tricks. Do not try

to mess with my relationship just because you do it on your own." She gives a warning.

"Ugh, whatever!" Sitri stomps away. Much to Stolas' satisfaction.

Dinner ended and the Goetia siblings returned to their home. Much to the relief of everyone,

especially to Stolas and Elijah.

That night, Stolas and Elijah cuddle with each other. Stolas leaned on Elijah's chest while he had

his arms around while reading a book.

"So, why did Rebekah wasn't able to join us?" Stolas asked.

This causes Elijah to pause for a moment before answering. "Well…" He sighs heavily, "Klaus

had her daggered…"

Rebekah gasped awake. She looks around and sees Klaus sitting on a chair at the foot of her bed,

holding the dagger he plunged into her heart. Toying with it.

"Well, it's about time. I was bored waiting." Klaus taunts. "But I did so want to see your face and

it is, indeed, priceless."

"You bastard. What day it is?" Rebekah sneered.

Klaus answers with a cheery smile, "Sunday. You actually had to miss meeting Stolas' siblings

for dinner."

"Prick! I have been daggered for a whole week?" Rebekah asked in shock, before remembering.

"Marcel, what have you done to him?" Tears already swelling her eyes.

"It's 1887, Rebekah. You've been daggered for 52 years." Klaus informs her.

A sinking feeling dropped in Rebekah's stomach. Pausing for a moment before letting out a

small, "What?"

"And don't worry about Marcel, I presented him with a choice. He could choose to undagger you

and live out the rest of his human days with you or…" Klaus pauses.

Realization sinks into Rebekah, "No…"

"...I could turn him, instead, as he always wanted, in exchange for giving you up." He finished.

Rebekah shakes her. "No. He wouldn't do that to me."

"Oh, but he did," Klaus said.

The door opens. Rebekah looks and sees a still very much young Marcel. And if it has been 52

years, then…

The two could only stare at each other. Rebekah could only start crying at the realization.
