Ch.4

I cloaked myself and teleported to the Luthercorp facilities where they were working on a cure. I recorded everything they said and did while superheating the failure cure really fast. Once it was done, they tried it on the poor soul that was slated to be killed.

When he died, they started working on the batch that would work. Clark had already shown up and left. As soon as they put the cure that works in and turned around, I superheated it to completion. When they looked around and found nothing wrong, I snatched a vial and teleported away.

I checked it to make sure it would work before using my powers to duplicate more. Once there was enough, I flashed around town and inoculated everyone including the Kent's. I saw Clark in a bed at the hospital while I was hitting everyone with the cure.

Ten minutes later, the entire town was immune to the toxin and those that were sick before woke up with the rest. I went about my life as if nothing happened. I sent a tip to the daily planet with the recordings from the experiment and the reports of the mass fainting that day.

Two days later it hit the news and LuthorCorp took another hit as their stock tipped again. I was able to buy up another twenty percent, leaving the Luthor's with fifty-one and a floating nine percent out there somewhere while the stock recovered eventually.

A couple weeks later I got word fro Ryan that Alicia was released from Belle Reve.

I ignored that and went in a different direction. I went to visit Lionel in his motel room. I walked in like I owned the place and he saw me before saying. "I was wondering when you'd show up."

I snorted. "I'm here to offer you something Genevieve can't."

His brows furrowed. "Oh, and other than freedom, what could be so important?"

I chuckled. "You didn't want the freedom, no, let's talk elsewhere, the walls here have ears and I'd hate to piss everyone listening in at once. Not that they could do anything to me, but I hate annoyances."

I walked out and after a minute he followed me. I walked to my truck and hopped in and after a debate with himself, he did the same. I revealed a small button trigger and clicked it in front of him. He asked. "What does that do?"

I smiled. "It just destroyed all the listening devices that are hidden on you. Never can be to careful. It's not powerful enough to knock out a vehicle, but in this confined space, it can take out anything smaller."

I turned on my truck and drove us to a building I kept near the gorge. When I parked the truck he pointed out. "You're being awful careful for little ole me."

I chuckled. "Some conversations are worth it after all."

He asked. "So what can you offer me that merits this level of caution?"

I smiled. "Your looking to turn Lex off this path and save people out there in need. I'm willing to put unlimited funds into your charity to see it through. I also happen to have bought forty percent of the LuthorCorp stock through proxies when the scandals hit each time."

His eyebrows shot up. "I take it this is an audition then? To see if you can trust me to keep my word?"

I chuckled and shook my head. "No, no audition. That is only half the reason for the secrecy. Those I'll give to you regardless because I believe you truly have changed. As a matter of fact, the news should be announcing a billion dollar donation to your charity as we speak to your charity."

I hopped out of the truck and walked to a table and chairs I had set out. I sat down and waited while he made another decision to get out and come over. "I'm at a loss then, what's the other half of the secret meeting?"

I sighed. "Veritas."

He stilled before sitting down. I continued. "I want to know the entirety of what you've done for control of the group. In exchange, I'll be willing to provide protection to Tess and Lucas from Lex's search and destroy to ensure he has no competition."

Lionel sighed and rubbed his eyebrows. I shook my head. "We're not being recorded in any way. This area has special sensors that pick up and destroy listening devices and cameras. Top of the line and not sold by Heretic industries."

He looked around before spilling everything. Everything including the death of the queens and what he thought were mine and the girls's parents. He told me of how he poisoned Swann and the Teague planting the bomb on the queens gambit. He told me of the alliances he made and all about the mission of Veritas.

When he finished, I told him. "The traveler came down with the meteor shower. My parents thought it was me and Bonnie's and Ayana's thought it was them. We aren't the traveler. We don't care about fighting evil or being saviors. The traveler is on earth, but it isn't us."

I got up and he asked. "Then who?"

I smiled. "Leave it be Lionel. The traveler will reveal themself when they're ready and save this world. Until then any prying will only hinder them. Tell Genevieve I said even she couldn't put you back in prison now. You're under my protection. The stock will all be transferred to you by the time I drop you off. Do what you've set out to do and try saving people like you long for. Share your second chance and never take it for granted."

I drove him to his place and when he went to get out I told him. "I won't blackmail you or ask for anything Lionel. I want the same things you do now. Do what you can to help people. If you need more money for your charity, give me a call."

I left him there while he was grinning like a fool. The money and stock were safely in his possession now. He was back in the game and had a significant advantage over Lex now. My bots that owned the stock disappeared into the ground as they disintegrated.

The only bot I had now was Jarvis. I got back to the house and did some lite theft from every crime syndicate and mob in the world. All the money went to Lionel's charity as well, adding another cool billion to what I'd donated.

I had Jarvis activate project cure and he announced the next day that Heretic industries had found a cure all that flushed most diseases known to man out of your system and broke down what stayed into antibodies to create immunities.

The world went up in arms and the CDC tested it themselves before giving their approval. Word spread all over the world. And now the only non cured diseases were cancer, radiation poisoning and mental diseases like psychosocial problems. All over the world Heretic industries have put the cures for free as humanitarian aid to the world.

It was fought by the doctors association and health places as they'd see a serious drop in patients and funding. Jarvis was quick to point out that those that lost their jobs because of it could still become health care nurses or surgeons as it wasn't a fix for trauma. And those that were let off could try out our funding program to go back to college for another career.

I put ten billion into the program to be oversaw by an AI I built just for it and handed out by Heretic industries community workers. Colleges all over the world saw an uptick in students. Many colleges were built and funded by Heretic industries just for this occasion.

The AI watched out for liars and people just using the money on other things. It also kept an eye on charges from the colleges in case they decided to play the system. In the first week, several college deans were caught and warned to quit it or Heretic industries would pull funding for those schools.

Since the cure basically cleaned out drug users and destroyed addiction completely, many of the brighter minds went back to school as well. Places like Gotham saw a massive decrease in crime. Starling city had its own slums cleaned up because of my company and now most of the slums were being destroyed and rebuilt as clean housing for college students.

Lionel's charity kicked off and started helping people less fortunate and down on their luck. Queen Industries pledged a hundred million dollars to the efforts and many rich billionaires like Bruce Wayne followed suit.

Back in Smallville, I was enjoying my time with the girls while they were telling me about their day. Chloe got the inside scoop on Heretic industries from me before the announcement. It was her story that made its way to Metropolis and ended up being bought by the Daily Planet for their front page.

I ignored the whole Alicia debacle and let Clark handle it. I sent him a wedding gag gift when I heard about it. It was a ruby necklace like what Alicia made him wear. It came with a note saying the red was real rubies. He showed up when he got it and asked. "If you knew-"

I stopped him with a chuckle. "Relax Clark. I got word from Ryan after the fact. He plucked the image from Alicia's mind and I had it duplicated. If you'd bother to pick up a newspaper, you'd see I've had my hands full elsewhere."

He frowned and Chloe handed him a Daily Planet with a smug smile. "Front page, read the byline as well."

Clark looked it over and his eyes shot up. "This is huge! Congratulations Chloe, I knew you'd get on the front page of the Planet eventually. But this, is this real?"

I nodded. "Jarvis made the announcement this evening. Now that the worlds going back to school and there are few diseases that can't be cured, Heretic industries is moving on to limb regeneration for those without and healing equipment for the paralyzed. Once that's done, I'll be in college and officially be the head of the company. I'm going to apply for every technological class there is and when I pass, I'll announce a space race. I'm going to give humans the stars themselves. I just hope they'll not try to turn anything I make into weapons."

Clark nodded slowly. "This is a lot to take in."

I sighed. "If I don't do it now, then humans will start to discover us sooner or later Clark."

He went bug eyed and looked from me to Chloe. She promptly snorted. "Relax Clark, I found out your secret weeks ago on my birthday. It's one of the things they insisted I know if I was going to join them. I haven't said a word and I would never have even if you'd have grown the balls to tell me yourself."

He frowned then sighed. "Chloe I-"

She sighed. "Save it Clark. I know you were trying to protect me. You can relax as well-"

She blurred and appeared on my lap. "Alex was able to safely turn me into a Kryptonian as well."

His jaw hit the floor before he bit out. "H-how?"

I sighed. "Remember that bracelet Kyla gave you? I made one of my own. It's a Kryptonian DNA rewriter. It only works once and only if you're absolutely sure in mind and spirit. She's as Kryptonian as we are Clark. By the way, the devices only work once so before the stone in it disintegrates. Be damn sure you found the one when you decide."

He looked lost and stumped at the same time. He sat down and talked with Chloe and after he was sure it was her decision, he left. I threw up a barrier and Chloe asked. "Do you think he'll try to use it to save her?"

I nodded. "More than likely, but the charm I put on the band to do it for him will only work on Lois and only when they're both absolutely sure. It's sad, but it's not our place to interfere with Alicia's fate. It's just the coarse of natural events for this world."

It was a minute before Chloe agreed and I turned her mind to the fact that my now hard member was pressed against her bum. I linked myself with them while grinding myself against her. She yelped when our clothes disintegrated and I entered her in one smooth stroke.

As the attempted murder of Lana, then Jason the next day took place, Chloe was becoming more stressed. I held her during the final event as she cried. It tore me up inside so when I felt Alicia's soul pass, I took it and held onto it while coming up with a plan.

When Clark found her body and left to get revenge, I teleported to Alicia's body and healed it before placing her soul back inside. With a jolt of power, I brought her back. Before she fully woke up, I erased her memories of Clark and the events that took place before taking her ability away and teleporting her to a hospital in LA.

She would wake up with a fond memory of coming to start a new life here after Belle Reve. I left her there with some cash and her purse before going back and turning the dog into her double and draining it's life away and giving it the same injuries as she had.

I teleported back to the house and comforted Chloe as I told her what I'd done. She gave me a kiss and hugged me hard enough to shatter a mountain. When they buried the dog in Alicia's casket, Chloe played her roll.

She tore down the wall of weird and burned it all after talking to Clark.

A month after Alicia's death everyone was set to visit MetU. When Lois showed up at school telling us about a boy she crippled, I told her. "It sounds like he was electrocuted or hit with a stun gun that was left on. My lawyers will tear the case to shreds and my doctors can give the boy a once over to be sure it's nothing you did to cause it."

I made the calls and twenty minutes later my doctors were checking the boy over. When they ruled out the kick to the gut as a possible cause, they tried a nerve revitalization treatment on him and he came out of it.

The kid in question immediately asked for protection from a freak. The doctors called in the police and notified them of Geoff being a meteor infected individual. They had to assure the police with Heretic industries reputation that it wasn't a joke.

The police were sent to subdue Geoff with tranquilizer darts. It became a big scandal as the sheriff of Smallville shot a pro college football star with a tranq dart before hauling him in for questioning. He was put in Belle Reve some time later and the kid selling his urine for drug tests was caught and kicked out of college as well.

Clark got a front row seat to it all and decided to not go the football route. With the false charges on Lois dropped, she was still kicked out of college by the disciplinary board. As Chloe no longer had the one bedroom apartment since she moved in with me until college, Lois was forced to ask the Kent's for a place to stay.

I gave my lawyers and doctors a bonus for their good work and sent them to work on other projects.

A month later I was in New York for the weekend visiting a certain billionaire astrophysicist when snow was gathering in Smallville. Virgil and I came up with a plan to help Clark while faking his death. Bridget had already left with the stone by the time I arrived.

Sighing, I offered Virgil his next big job. "After your death is announced, I'd like you to head a division in Heretic industries that will put humanity into the stars. I've got several ship ideas that are viable so long as my scientists find metals on earth that can see them through."

He got up for the first time in forever and paced around. "If that's the case then I'll take it. I'll leave my fortune to charities as Kal-El cannot take it without attracting unwanted attention. Any suggestions on that front?"

I nodded. "Lionel's charity is in need and is legitimately trying to help the world. If you want to split it between that and the world wide college fund, I'd appreciate the help."

He nodded then sighed. "I make the arrangements when you leave. I already have arrangements for the key to be sent to Karl-El in the event of my death."

I chuckled. "I'm so not being the one to tell him you're alive when the space race starts."

He smiled. "Hopefully by then the first ship will be built."

I nodded. "Once I finish College, I intend to build a space station for docking and a ground base for all personnel to get teleported up from. Then I'll be busy dealing with governments around the world trying to get them to come together to explore the universe."

He snorted. "Good luck with that one. It took more money on bribes than I can count to just get the satellites I had up there."

I chuckled. "Shouldn't be a problem as the first ship made will be a working prototype for them to see. I'll give every government the schematics in exchange for a binding agreement that they never turn the knowledge against each other. I think I can convince them easy enough when I point out that I'm working on a world engine to turn other planets habitable and wormhole technology to transport people to each terraformed planet and back instantly."

His eyes shot up. "And you can do all this?"

I chuckled. "Easy enough. Like I said before, I intend to give humans the stars themselves. The only reason Krypton truly died out was because my people refused to branch out and live away from the sun god Rao's light."

He frowned and I sighed. "Religion, live with it or without it and it bites you in the ass either way. Our sun was dying either way but the civil war did worse and more immediate damage to the planet. Once the planet blew up, it carried super heavy elements into the sun and it went supernova wiping out the star system."

He nodded slowly and I sighed rubbing my head. "Our civil war killed an entire other world with sentient life of a branch of our people as well. The only other planet Kryptonian's truly branched to was in the same star system and they died with us."

He frowned and sighed. "We cannot let the same thing happen to humanity."

I chuckled. "That's the beauty of the wormhole gates I'm building. They won't connect to any two gates in the same solar system."

He asked. "Why didn't Kryptonian's use the same technology since they had it?"

I sighed. "The war took all reason from my people and it lasted to long while the council refused to listen to the science guild until it was to late to do anything. The high council wanted to win the war at all costs for fear that they'd lose power. I won't make the same mistakes. Heretic industries will be turned over to a human I've been grooming to take my place in leading humanity into the future. I don't want power over anyone."

He seemed comforted by my words and sighed. "I fear it's time for you to leave. I gave a lot to arrange and you have chores at home to do."

I smiled. "Indeed. Goodbye doctor and I'll await your word once you enter the New York branch of Heretic industries."

I flashed away and went back to Smallville. I arrived just as Lois brought the dog home. I did the farm work in under a minute before going to my own house. The girls were off on other projects at the moment. Bonnie was in Egypt looking for the ancient Thanagarian spaceship.

Ayana was at Heretic industries trying to make the Inertron metal alloy. Chloe was doing research for Lana on Jason's background before she was asked. I grabbed a shower and went to bed alone for once.

The next morning I sped through the farm work. As the last crop was already sent out last week, I was focused on taking care of the cattle and horses. Jarvis was having several semi's come in for most of the herd of cattle later today. The Kent's decided to sell the herds and retire with their half a million and the bonus they'd get from the lands they were selling as prime real-estate.

The land was proven fertile and the houses were being built like mini mansions on each piece of land was going to earn them potentially millions. One was even getting an Olympic size swimming pool. The Kent's decided to keep the horses and sell all the cattle except a few milk cows.

They would have plenty of fresh milk and eggs. They'd probably start a small garden to grow fresh vegetables for themselves, but with Johnathan's heart and the money they stand to make legitimately, Martha put her foot down and declared them officially out of the farming business.

Once I was done bringing the herd around, the semi's arrived to pick them up. I helped load them all up into nearly six hundred semi's. It took nearly all day to complete and once the last of them were off to the selling block and slaughter houses, I went to visit the Kent's with a check for three million.

I arrived while Johnathan was fighting the dog for his steak. "Well you'll be happy to know that the first check for the cattle arrived and they've been sent off."

I walked around the mess and handed Martha the check. She looked at it and covered her mouth with her hand. "This, this is too much."

Lois came over. "Let me see-"

She looked at it and her eyes went wide. "Way to go missis Kent. That's a lot of money for some dumb cows."

I snorted. "You're not very intelligent if you think that. The herd was nearly ten thousand strong and spread out over thousands of acres. It took all day just to wrangle them to the trucks. That's just the deposit till they hit the market. The real value will show then. Each one of them were top choice and organically raised. Odds are that'll be the smallest check you'll see over the next couple weeks."

Johnathan got off the floor and looked at the check before nodding. "Sounds about right for the herd size and quality. Who said farming doesn't pay off."

I chuckled. "Well, keep that in mind when you sell all the extra land and houses that are being built, because I've had my real-estate agents look them over and made adjustments to increase their worth. By spring you're looking at properties that start out at ten times this check and go up from their. I have the firm waiting for your approval to sell them once there done."

Even Johnathan's eyes went wide. "Are you sure-"

I waved a hand. "It's all in the contract you signed when we tore down those fences years ago. It's all your land and properties except the house and land I live on. Everything else is yours to do with as you wish. If you decide not to sell, that's still up to you. I made that deal because I needed to expand my chores and work load and you agreed generously back then. This is just the bill come due."

He smiled and sighed. "In that case I think we'd like to sell as soon as the properties are ready."

I nodded and looked to the dog. "When did you get a dog."

I kneeled down and the soon to be named Shelby came over and rolled on his stomach at my feet. Lois spoke. "Actually, I hit him with my car. Clark is talking to Lex as he's some kind of lab testing animal."

I rubbed the dogs stomach and it whimpered a little and licked my hand when I stopped. "Well, if I know Lex, he'll either want it back for more testing or want nothing to do with it as he'd consider it a failure. It seems calm enough and as long as he doesn't want it, you should keep it. Dogs that are used for testing usually have a hard life afterwards."

I stood up and gestured to the mess. "Let's get this cleaned up then."

Martha handed Lois a broom and I grabbed half the broke dining table while Jonathan grabbed the other. We took it to the barn where I got to work repairing it and he went in to help them clean up. I flashed around and repaired it by the time he made it to the house.

I bugged out the edges and added lacquer and surface finish to it before heading in to help them. It was finished and with my heat vision, it was ready to go back in, but since Lois was there, it would wait till tomorrow to be put back.

I helped them sweep up and took the trash out with Johnathan. When the other dog showed up to attack him my eyes shifted and I growled. The dog stopped just short of Johnathan and sat down before whimpering and laying down.

I kneeled down and sighed. "It's like the other one. It has a Kryptonite steroid made by LuthorCorps war dog experiments in it. Poor thing must have been abused enough to hate humans."

The other dog came running out and laid down next to it. Johnathan asked. "Any guesses who sent it?"

I shook my head. "Whoever it is knows where you live and probably wants both back."

He nodded and Martha came outside with Lois who asked. "Where did that one come from?"

I shrugged and heard the whistle blowing. I grunted and both dogs stayed. "I'll track its trail back to the people that sent it. You take them inside and see about getting the other one fed."

I took off at a human speed run and headed to where I heard the whistle. I found two guys in a truck by the road. I shifted and attacked them in wolf form. I broke their arms and legs with my bites and ran back to the other side of the truck before shifting and putting my clothes back on.

I cleaned their blood off me with a thought and teleported to the distance as I ran over. "You guys ok? What the hell happened?"

They were both crying in pain so I called the cops and ambulances. Both of them were taken away by ambulance and the cops took the truck with them. I have a statement and told them a dog came over to the Kent's house like it was fleeing from something.

The cops took my word for it and said they'd investigate it. I headed back to the Kent's and told them while Lois was there. "The guys that owned the truck with two steel dog cages were just sent to the ER. They had multiple bite wounds on them from some kind of canine animal. Was there any blood on the dog?"

Johnathan shook his head. "No, he's clean. We just fed him some leftover pork chops and he doesn't appear to have blood on him."

I nodded. "The police said they'd send animal control to do a teeth impression for him in the morning. For right now though, they said since we have no proof the guys that were attacked are linked specifically to these dogs, we should take care of them and try and find their owners."

He nodded and Lois took the dogs inside while Johnathan asked. "So what really happened?"

I chuckled. "I heard them saying they were going to use the dogs to rob an armored truck. One of them had a baton he said he'd use to keep them in line and punish the one that got away. So I shifted an but their arms and legs to ensure it won't happen again. The truck has enough evidence along with their apparent work place to tie them to several robberies and dog attacks. They deserve worse but I decided jail was better than dead."

Martha sighed. "Why did you do that?"

I snorted. "This way the bite marks will lead to a wolf and not a dog. They got what was coming to them and they can't run away till they're healed. It was clean breaks in their bones so they'll be good as new in a couple weeks when they're safely behind bars. It was that or I beat them to death for using innocent dogs to commit crimes."

She put a hand over her mouth and I sighed. "I'm not Clark, Mrs.Kent, I don't have his nice tendencies to leave everyone unharmed. These people abused innocent creatures for their own gain, they got off light for it and their suffering won't last nearly as long as their victims. There's a reason I stay out of things and I think you just figured it out."

I turned to to leave and whistled. The dogs came running and when they sat before me I told the Kent's new dog. "Back inside."

It went running to the house and I rubbed the Rottweiler's head before continuing my walk. It followed me as I ran to my place at its top speed. Chloe already made a doggy door and a bed for it. Once we were inside, I touched its shoulder where the LuthorCorp chip was. I removed it by a small burst of magic and crushed it.

The dog licked my hand and I smiled. "Your new name is Titan. It's better than Hercules in my book."

It whimpered and I smiled. "Alright, you've been fed, your water bowl is right by the bedding and you can go outside at any time. Welcome home."

He sniffed me before laying down on his bedding. I went to meet the girls in the living room. Bonnie was back and successful. Our scientists were taking apart the old ship for its metal. Ayana was close to finding the missing link to Inertron metal. So she stayed in Metropolis.

Since school let out for Christmas break, we had plenty of time together. I held Chloe and Bonnie while we sat by the fire and enjoyed hot cocoa. Titan joined us after a while and payed next to us on the couch. Chloe laughed and patted him.

We spent several hours like that before Lana called Chloe asking her to do research on Jason. Chloe said she'd look into it and once she hung up, I got up and dragged them to bed for some deep messages and a little oiled fun.

The next morning Chloe left with her research and Bonnie went to help Ayana finish up while I took Titan to the Kent's where the police were waiting with a vet to do a teeth mold. When the veterinarian held out the molding for Titan to bite, he was stared at like he was stupid.

I chuckled. "Titan bite."

Titan ripped into the molding and I stopped him saying. "Release."

He let go and came over to me before sitting down. The cop was impressed. "That's some training you've got him under if he's listening to you like that when you only found him last night."

I smiled. "He's clearly been trained before, I just happen to be his favorite person next to my girlfriend. He listens to me when she's not around. All last night he ignored me just to get a few pats from her. Now he listens like I'm a drill instructor. Weird."

The cop laughed. "That's about right for every male, dog or not."

I smiled and patted Titan. "Let me know what you find out. I have my lawyers looking into legally making him mine. He's innocent in all this and if he hurt anyone it was the fault of the dumb asses that were using him."

The cop nodded. "I'll let you know, but the doctors are already saying those two you found were bitten by a wolf."

I shrugged. "They probably thought they could tame it and use it like they were using him. Serves them right."

He nodded and left with the vet after I made an appointment to have both dogs looked over later today. Clark came over when they left. "Mom says you're the wolf that but them?"

I nodded. "Trust me Clark, they deserved worse than a couple broken bones that'll heal in a couple weeks. I let them go and the cops are building a case against them now. They'll be in jail by the time they fully heal."

He nodded. "Why'd you go that far though?"

I sighed. "They were planning to burn the dogs and the van to get rid of the evidence after they robbed the armor truck. What would you do to the person that planned to do that to your friends?"

He frowned. "I wouldn't-"

I waved him off. "Save it Clark, I'm fully aware that you almost killed the guy that killed Alicia. If Lois wasn't their or late, he'd be dead and the blood would be on your hands. I'm not saying I'd be any different, far from it. I'd have killed him regardless after months of torture. No, I only acted because you weren't there and I new they deserved to suffer. So suffer they will in jail."

I walked away and Titan followed me back to my house. I got word later that day that the cops searched the thieves lockers at their work and found plans to rob the armored truck. I may have scattered wolf hair around their work place and altered their samples to match the hairs.

I set a wild wolf loose on the empty farm land we had and when the neighbors reported it, the animal control picked it up. The molds of the bite marks were changed by magic to match the wolf's teeth and it was released on a reserve in Colorado eventually.

The two idiot thieves were charged with assault and robbery along with attempted robbery and animal abuse. Titan was legally exonerated thanks to my lawyers and he became mine since Lex didn't want him.

I had him painlessly chipped and got him a new dog collar. Just after Christmas, Lex contacted me about following Jason Teague to China for the treasure hunt. When I left with him, the story broke of Virgil Swann's death. I received a coded text from him saying he was safe in Heretic industries headquarters in New York.

He donated ten billion to Lionel's fund for helping others and another fifty billion to the world college fund my company oversaw. He had officially started building and altering the designs for the Prometheus of this world. I found myself in China with Lex following Jason.

We caught up to him after his call to Lana. While Lex did his song and dance, Jason turned to me. "You're working with him?"

I snorted. "It's a one time deal unless it goes well. I'm only here for the treasure hunt. Whether we find anything or not is irrelevant to me, but will mean further co-operation with Lex on other projects if we do."

Lex smiled and made his pitch to Jason. When shit got hairy with the Chinese government, I didn't run. I turned to Lex. "If you're behind this it stops now or I walk. If I found out later that they're following your orders, there will be hell to pay."

He shook his head. "They're not with me."

I sighed. "Fuck, run!"

We booked it and got trapped. I broke out a can of human whop ass on them until Lex and Jason went and got caught. I left fifteen Chinese soldiers on the ground unconscious before I was threatened to stop or they'd shoot the other two.

I growled and told the leader in mandarin who I was and what I'd do to him and his people if I so much as get a paper cut. He shivered and told his people to cuff me carefully. I was black bagged and led to a vehicle before brought to a leaky underground facility and tossed in a cell with Lex and Jason. They kept me cuffed for fear I'd pick up where I left off.

When they left, Jason took off my hood. "Why didn't they un-cuff you?"

I smiled. "They're afraid I'll kick their asses and escape. What they don't know is I'm just as deadly with my legs. I'll take the guards when they come for us and you to grab the keys. Once I'm free we'll get out of this place."

When the guards finally came again, I backed away as they entered and did a spartan kick on the first one through the door. He landed on his partner and I knocked them both out with kicks to the temple. Before they could grab the keys, a gun went off and I looked over and scowled at the leader who came in person.

He smiled and spoke in mandarin. "Very impressive, I think we will have to restrain you in a chair next time."

I snorted. "You're going to regret this. It never ends well for those that piss me off. Release me and I'll forget this transgressions and we can go in peace."

He shook his head. "Someone very rich and powerful offered a lot of money to find out what you three know of the stones of power."

I sneered. "If it's Genevieve Teague, I'll offer you more just to torture the bitch for this no information needed."

He smiled. "It's already payed for I'm afraid."

I smiled devilishly. "Than you'd better kill me before you're done because whatever you do to me will be inflicted on you a thousand fold."

He shivered and backed away while pointing his gun at me. "Behave and get back in the cage. Once we have our answers from your two friends, you may leave."

I backed away into the cell and told him. "Remove the cuffs at least. If I'm to be unharmed then there's no reason for me to fight."

He smiled and closed the cell door before telling me. "Back up time the door, I'll take them off."

I did so and once I was released, he backed away quickly in case I attacked. Jason asked. "What the hell was that about?"

I shrugged. "He's to afraid to hurt me but you two seem fair game. He's going to torture you both for information on some stones or some crap. I accused your mother of being behind this and he didn't confirm or deny it. You two are screwed and I'm stuck in here until they find out what you know."

I turned to Lex. "This is a very interesting treasure hunt at least. If we find whatever stone thing you're looking for I'm more than willing to help you find the others."

He smiled. "At least this day has some up side to the immediate and imminent torture I'm about to go through."

I shrugged. "I'd stop it if I could, but he made it pretty clear that you two were screwed. I doubt they'll let me near the doorway when they come for you again."

Jason sighed. "At least you tried."

Lex nodded. "This day is going to suck."

As he said that a group of twenty guards came to retrieve them. They all pointed their guns at us and the leader told me to back against the wall and to tell the other two to come out.

I sighed and back away. "He says you're both going out now. I'd do as he says unless you've got moves of your own to play. Good luck."

They walked to the door while Lex offered them money to let us go. They were both taken away at gun point and the leader told me to wait to be released. I of course just waited till he was gone and picked the lock with magic.

I heard the tortures going on and ignored it. I found Lex bargaining with the leader and talking about a deal they made. I recorded the conversation and left. I found myself in a temple above and made myself invisible as Lana was dragged below by three soldiers.

I hid myself and watched everything go down. When they were freed, I teleported to my prison cell and waited. Clark and the other two came just as I pretended to pick the lock open.

I opened the door. "Well this was pointless then. So what's next?"

They told me about Isabel and we left to find her. Clark showed us the hidden mask and shirt. I told Lex to pack it up and we'd take it with us. Jason compared the shirt to the map and Lex took off with him for the treasure, leaving me and Clark to the shirt and mask.

He told me about the Kryptonite and I flashed over and grabbed the shirt that turned out to be robes folded. I appeared next to him while the Kryptonite glowed before going out. "Seems I'm fast enough to take it before it takes my powers. Anyway, it's mine now. At least I'll get something out of this trip."

He ran over to Isabel and got his ass handed to him. I rushed her in super speed and she used my momentum to slam me into Clark. She hit me with a sleeping spell and I let it take hold as I passed out.

I was woken up by Clark a little bit later while they were standing around. "Tell me that bitch is gone. Who the hell throws people around like rag dolls with spells."

Lana blushed. "She's gone."

I sighed. "Did you guys find the stone?"

Lex shook his head sadly. "No, it's gone as well."

I sighed. "At least I got a cool new set of robes I can put on display. I'll have to get it carbon dated and pay the Chinese government for it, but they owe me for their little soldier routine anyway."

I made a few calls and a very important Chinese General showed up to arrest and interrogate his people that went rouge. He gave me a the robes as a gift for the suffering I experienced before the captain gave up a recording of Lex and him making the deals.

I turned to Lex when the General revealed it and played it for us. "Consider all future prospects between us canceled. If I ever see you come to me for another chance, I'll tear your company apart and turn your mansion into a public sanitation facility."

Lex looked mutinous and pissed. He tried to claim it was all lies but I knew better. I left while he was forced to bribe the Chinese government to let him go for the trouble this caused. He pointed out that someone else interferes as well.

The general assured me he would find out who and give me a name. I left with Clark and the other two and Jarvis was waiting at the airport with my private jet. We flew home while they talked. I read Jason's mind on the way back home and he had found the stone and kept it on him instead of mailing it.

He had no reason to do so as we were flying together. When we arrived in Smallville, my jet took off to Metropolis to await its next use. Jarvis drove us from the airport to drop everyone off.

A couple weeks later Lucy Lane rolled into town. When here German gangster showed up, I teleported him to a Chinese prison. Lucy stayed in town for another week before she left town to head back to 'school'. The girls took a trip to a certain crime syndicate and compelled them to turn away from a life of crime.

The syndicate disbanded not long after that and they came home. When Lex began trying to mimic my genetically altered crop seeds and his meteor rock exploded his lab, I found the second Lex and knocked him out before he could see me. I tossed him on top of his unconscious double before tossing a piece of green kryptonite on them and heating it up to become black kryptonite.

The meteor rock exploded and they fused together while still unconscious. I made sure the good side of Lex was in control of his body before leaving in a flash. Moments after I left they began waking up again.

A few weeks away from graduation, Chloe was nominated for prom queen. I ran a small campaign for her and when a certain dumb cheerleading captain threatened her, I chuckled. "You'll fins she's more than capable of winning prom queen herself Dawn. If anything, you should be worried about your boyfriend dumping you the day before the dance."

She frowned and did a retarded one line before strutting away on her phone trying to contact her boyfriend. Chloe smiled. "You know I don't want to win right?"

I nodded. "I do, but you will anyway. I've been running a shadow campaign all week to get you the title. Don't worry, I'll save her and since there's no random meteor rocks, she wouldn't come back as a ghost anyway."

Chloe pulled my head down for a kiss before sashaying away. I growled and followed to an abandoned classroom. We left the classroom half an hour later because she had class to get to. I put a cushioning charm and unbreakable charm on the railing as Dawn ran into it.

It looked like she hit a marshmallow from the lack of impact damage on her and her vehicle. When her car completely stopped, I removed the charms and flashed away to my house. I continued the shadow campaign for Chloe and even got both of Dawn's best friends to vote for Chloe.

I didn't even have to compel anyone, most voted for her to break the cycle while the rest thought it was for a funny ironic joke. So when her coronation was announced at prom, I chuckled until I was dragged to the stage as prom king. I scowled and half the school laughed at me. Chloe was smiling mysteriously and eventually admitted she arranged it with the girls.

That night all my women felt my wrath, the next day even their healing abilities didn't stop them from walking funny.

The next week the Talon was robbed and Clark lost his memory again. I laughed my ass off while Chloe walked him through his powers and who to trust. He listened to her while scowling at me. I raised my beer. "Cheers, think of my laughing as payback for the stage scene last week. Don't worry, you'll remember it when you get your memories back."

He sighed. "Why do I get the feeling I should smack you?"

I chuckled. "You could try, but I'd just make you kiss the dirt. You've never been stronger than me Clark. Though from the UV lamps, I can see you're trying. Once you can fly into the sun and charge your batteries for real, you'll be as close as possible."

He frowned. "But you'd still be stronger?"

I shifted my eyes. "Only a little. Anyway, be careful of the Luthor's. The only ones who know about us are your parents, us and the Indians. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest you tell anyone. If you do, I'd have to reverse time back a day for us."

His eyebrows shot up. "You can do that?"

I shook my head. "The cave can. Once the stones are found there's little it can't do."

He nodded and sighed. "Another thing I've forgotten about."

I handed him a beer. "On the bright side no hangovers."

The day played out like I expected and when Kevin was leaving, I appeared next to him after he said goodbye to Clark. "I'd like to offer you a job. Don't worry, I don't care about your powers. I'd like you to lead a team to save those like you from people like your father and the Luthor's."

He frowned. "I don't know you."

I nodded. "I know, but Clark does. You say you want a fresh start. I want to give you one helping others get their fresh starts."

He raised his hand and I smiled. "Go ahead. Your abilities won't work on me. When you're done trying, just consider my offer. It's open ended and I won't hassle you for an answer."

He hit me with a memory wipe I just brushed off. "Feel better? Here, take my card. When you make a decision, call me."

I left him there as I flashed away to the back part of the labs and stored away all the kryptonite liquid memory wipe juice in my vaults. I left there and went home while the doctor was arrested for trying to mind wipe Chloe.

She came home later that night telling me about everything. I helped her unwind with a message and some sensual one on one. Bonnie and Ayana were in Metropolis doing the new test on the Inertron they were able to finish creating. It was an artificially created element but so far it was shaping up to be just what we needed to replace the tritium, naquadah mixture.

Once they finished their tests, they were going to have it made in bulk for the Prometheus project. Dr.Swann was busy building a full star map navigation system with his own devision of scientists.

Over the next week I was busy with Lionel when the baby in a field incident went down. When Genevieve Teague threatened Lionel to send him back, he stopped her there to call me. "Mrs.Teague just threatened to have me sent back to jail, I'm calling to make sure you're still backing me."

I grinned. "Put me on speaker."

After a second he said. "Go ahead, your on speaker."

I spoke in my most intimidating voice. "Mrs.Teague. This is Alexander Mikaelson, I'm sure you remember me. I'd like to make things clear here and now. My company is poised to destroy your company and with your very words recorded on file, I now have the ammunition to send you to the very same prison you threatened to send Lionel. By the time he leaves the office you're in, everything you own will become mine while your bank accounts will be frozen. You'll have only an hour before the cops catch up to you for conspiracy to commit murder as well."

She laughed. "That's not possible, you aren't even legally able to take control of your company!"

I laughed now. "You'll find I get what I want and I've no reason to lie. Go ahead, call your husband and check your accounts. Even those in the caymans. I'll wait."

After a minutes I heard her screech before calming down. "What is it you want?"

I chuckled. "Me? Hardly anything in this world. But you'll get all your things back and the evidence will be misplaced if you'd be so kind as to follow Lionel's words. Oh and your little ploy will never work, he can no longer be sent back to jail for those crimes. He's under my protection now. Goodbye miss Teague and Lionel, be sure to get back the stone she and her son murdered miss Crosby for. I have the proof on that as well if need be."

Lionel spoke up. "Will do. Thanks again Mr.Mikaelson."

Sighed. "No problem Lionel. Goodnight."

I hung up and ten minutes later Clark came over with a kid and Lana. "We need your help, he's growing rapidly."

I sighed. "They grow up so fast."

Clark snorted. "This is serious!"

I sighed. "Fine, let's take a trip to my labs I'll see what I can do."

We drove to Metropolis and hooked the kid up to the machines there. When I saw the readout I came back to the couple. "Well, you're in luck, I can slow his aging down to normal but he'll never be truly normal. I'll have to make a bracelet or necklace that will suppress his powers to nothing. It'll take an hour or so but if he ever takes it off, he'll rapidly age to death and release enough energy to wipe out several miles of land along with anyone near him."

Clark nodded. "Just help him."

I sighed and got to work. I made sure to drain the kid when he got close to a growth spurt. I placed the blue kryptonite bracelet with a suction filter on it on the kids wrist. I told them."You'll feel woozy for a day as your body adjusts but after that you'll grow up like any normal kid. I've placed a magnetic lock on the bracelet so as long as someone doesn't intentionally take it off, you'll be fine. Down side is you'll age into nothing in a bomb like blast If it's ever removed, so it's kind of permanent. On the plus side it's water proof and will adjust as you grow naturally."

They thanked me and we headed back to Smallville. My scientists shared the research findings with the world in the hopes that someone else would use it to find the cure for cancer. Heretic industries can't be the only heavy hitter in the world. It would be to much responsibility and power.

Two weeks passed without trouble until the night before the last day at school. When a meta-human kid tried to freeze Chloe, it failed and he ended up freezing himself instead. Chloe called the cops and they had him sent to Belle Reve after defrosting most of him. They found the kids he'd already taken in a factory on the outskirts of town.

I was approached by Jason and Genevieve the next day in the school parking lot. Genevieve spoke first. "So, you're protecting Lionel for the stone?"

I chuckled. "Genevieve, I could care less about the stone, I just don't like thieves. As far as I'm aware Lionel still has the trinket, no, I'm protecting him from prison because I want his charity up and running helping people. Unlike you lot, I don't give a rats ass about those dumb rocks. But if you want to start something, be my guest."

I spread my arms waiting with a smile. Jason spoke. "Let's go mother, he's telling the truth, he didn't care about it in China and he still doesn't. With his resources he'd have found them if he was."

I nodded. "You're right on that one. If I wanted the stone, I'd have had you and Lex killed in China. As it is, you're still breathing. Hell, I'd have had Lionel and Mrs.Teague here killed long ago, no, I don't care about your rock hunt. Have fun with that, I have school to get to."

I turned and left as they drove away in their limo. When I got to class, I drifted through school on auto-pilot while my attention was on the Teagues. When they captured the Luthor's, I sent Jarvis to complete my threat.

By the time Genevieve arrived at Lana's looking for the stone, all her family's assets were seized and the news of the mother son murder duo got out. My compulsion on the Luthor security kicked in and they gave Miss Crosby's body to the police along with the video evidence of Jason burying the body.

When Genevieve was killed by Lana and Lex left with her, my video recorder that was hidden was turned in to my lawyers and they backed Lana. The proof of self defense was clear. At the same time my long range sensors on my deep space satellites started going off.

With so much pre-warning, the information went to the news with the estimated trajectory. When the army arrived in the morning they were far more prepared and started evacuating everyone without incident easily enough.

Lana stopped by the farm while the Kent's were packing and gave Clark the stone while I told her what I'd done for her. She seemed relieved and went back to Lex's place to fly to Metropolis. Clark told his parents he wasn't leaving but staying to look for the last stone.

When they went to ball at it, I spoke up as the girls flashed over. "We'll make sure he stays safe, just take Titan with you. Oh and make sure Lois gets out safe as well."

They calmed down and I whistled. Titan came running over from the fields. I turned to him and pointed at the Kent's. "Protect!"

He licked my hand before going to sit at Martha's feet. "He'll protect you till you get to my penthouse in Metropolis. It's at the top floor of Heretic industries. Just tell them I sent you and ride out this storm."

They left right after I told them that. We left with Clark and headed to the caves. While he was in the chamber, I felt something and turned my attention to Titan with the Kent's. When Jason stoped them and fired the gun at the windshield with the baby still inside, Titan lunges and ripped his throat out.

When Jason was really dead, he released him and went to the truck before laying down in the back seat next to the crying baby and whimpering. I saw Johnathan in my minds eye moving the body out of the way and driving around the parked car.

When they were on the road again my phone rang drawing me away. I told the girls. "Titan killed Jason when he scared the baby by firing at the windshield with the baby in the back seat."

None of them felt any pity for someone who could do such a thing. I answered the phone with Martha on the other end. She told me what all happened and I sighed. "Just get to Metropolis. I'll have my lawyers handle it. He discharged a shot gun at a car with a baby in it. Nothing will happen to you guys or my dog."

I hung up after telling Johnathan the same thing. After a loud ass ringing sound went out, Clark finally came out of the hidden chamber. "I know where the last stone is."

I snorted. "No shit, all of us do now."

We blurred and arrived at Lex's mansion. Clark tore off the vault door before grabbing the element and falling from the Kryptonite exposure. Chloe helped him get away from the door while we made ourselves invisible. Lex came in and saw her but Clark had already recovered and left.

She talked her way out of most of it till he dragged her off with him. We followed them to the caves were we were transported to Antarctica. I followed Clark into the fortress after it shot out of the ground.

When he activated the crystal that was supposed to teach him everything, I spoke up. "Jor-El, now is not the time to be teaching him all these things. His home town is on fire and two Kryptonian warriors are looking for him. Zod's followers will kill there way to him if he doesn't show up to stop them."

Jor-El's voice rang out. "You have three other Kryptonian's that can fight them off."

I snorted. "It is not our fight and you know it! They have a phantom door and I'll not risk them being trapped in there when you know damn well Kal-El's blood is the only way out. Release him to stop them or I'll put a stop to your plans here and now!"

Jor-El's voice shook the cavern as he asked. "What makes you think you have any power here? This is not Krypton and you are not a council member!"

I laughed and unleashed a burst of solar power I had charged from the sun. "This may not be Krypton but you are not alive to truly interfere. We both know I can destroy this place easily enough. Now release him or I will stop your plans here and now!"

Jor-El went silent before a sigh came out as he released Clark with his first mission to stop the acolytes of Zod. I told Clark about the ship and to be weary of the ring bracelet as it's a door to a prison dimension. He took off and I had a heart to heart with Jor-El's AI about my plans for the Kandorians and the book of Rao.

He went quiet after telling me it can only be activated after the destroyer is defeated. I left back to Smallville with the girls and helped with the clean up. The hospital was mostly empty as almost everyone got out in time while those that didn't were easily patched up.

That night Clark showed up at the Kent farm. The house took a direct hit from a meteorite and was seriously damaged. The next morning my company pledged a hundred million to help with the cleanup of the town.

The Kent's showed up save and happy that Clark was fine. Though he did lose his powers since he refused to go back to Jor-El and stuck around to help. Martha asked. "Why didn't you for lose your powers as well?"

I sighed. "He can only strip Clark's powers without his permission because they're from the same house. We are from higher more noble and ancient houses and Chloe is technically married to me in our way. She is of my house. Jor-El could no more punish us than make the fortress walk. No, whiles cannot punish us, he can make life difficult if we interfere again. Since Clark is officially mortal, we aren't aloud to save him unless we let one of ourselves be stripped of powers by him. Or he'll be able to invoke some pretty nasty things to wreak havoc on us."

That brought worry lines to their faces before Clark told them it would be alright.

All day trucks began rolling in for the cleanup effort and another meteorite buy up was called by my company. This time Lex tried the same thing with competing prices. He helped smooth things over with FEMA to get the relief fund to each of the towns people.

I spent the next month helping rebuild houses together with the towns people while my company hired contractors to help as well. Those contractors being my bots. Hundreds of them were busy working on houses and barns along side us.

When Lex pulled his little stunt, Chloe made sure to play her role while adding hidden cameras to the level three facility. When Clark got hurt and subsequently left, Chloe went to do the trace and gave him the results.

I watched on a monitor with the girls as Clark gave Lex a beating. When it was over, I tapped into Lex's computer wirelessly and downloaded everyone he had on project 33.1.

It was a human experimentation for meteor infected he was doing all around the world. I sent a copy of the files anonymously to Oliver Queen. The next big hassle was when some dumb ass kid decided to blow up Smallville with a nuclear missile.

I was out of town at the time buying a fraternity house near the Central A&M campus. Clark was going to be moving with us. He'd be able to visit the farm whenever he wanted and still keep up with work.

I'm going to take classes there for technical engineering and a dozen others while doing courses at MetU for the classes A&M doesn't have. I worked it out with both schools while A&M received a very large donation to attract professors to fill the gap so I could just go there next semester.

Chloe was going for media and journalism with business, to start her own media company. Bonnie was going to be a literal rocket scientist and Ayana was going to revolutionize the biochemistry and genealogy of this world.

Anyway, back in Smallville a nuclear scare went on and Clark was gunned down. When he was, Chloe knocked out the kid and the police picked them up. As they hadn't a clue which silo he activated, Clark still had to do his superhero bit. When he officially came back, Chloe was allowed to interfere and helped him down after he disarmed the rocket.

The kid was sent to Belle Reve for his psychosis and was promised to be sent to prison for life once he was better as he was officially a terrorist. I got back to Smallville in time to see a pouting Clark talking to Chloe.

I walked over saying. "The house is bought. It's a seven bed, five bath. The movers will be here in the morning to move your things Clark. Your parent's properties just sold as well. Congratulations, your officially high tear millionaires."

He gasped at my words before asking. "How much?"

I chuckled. "For all of them? Seven hundred and twenty three million. There were six mansions and the cheapest sold for a hundred million."

He coughed and I chuckled. "If your parents want, I can reinvest most of the money into Heretic industries. You'll become the only other share holders other than me. Let's say twenty percent for five hundred million."

He frowned and I chuckled. "Relax, Heretic industries is five hundred billion dollar company that spans the globe and is into everything except weapons."

His eyebrows shot through his hairline and he asked. "Wouldn't that mean-"

I smiled. "That your money would end up multiplying by a hell of a lot instantly? Yes. But the other eighty percent will go to Ryan once he graduates college."

Clark thanked me before heading inside to tell his parents. When they came out and asked if what he said was true I nodded. "The money is already yours, it was deposited before I arrived here into your bank account. As for the offer, it's contingent on you not withdrawing more than a billion a month as the moment it's invested you'll be worth a hundred billion."

Johnathan asked. "What's the catch?"

I sighed. "I've been thinking about it and Heretic industries is to much power for one person to have. It needs a stop gap in case something happens to Ryan and he's tricked or coerced. The twenty percent comes with a veto clause that gives you the power to stop any bad moves he makes. Basically you'll be the board that controls the company with him. It won't be necessary all the time, but in case of emergencies you'll be able to stop him."

Johnathan nodded before sighing. "We'll do it. I know I can trust you to not screw us."

I smiled. "Thanks Mr.Kent. I'll have Jarvis send the contract for the shares. Once you and your lawyer look it over and sign it, you'll be insured instantly for your money back and you'll be able to take out the first billion from your investment the next day. I'd suggest you take a few days to think about what you want to buy."

I grabbed Chloe's hand and we left to head home and get ready for tomorrow. The next day all our stuff was packed and Jarvis was heading to Heretic industries to take the reigns for me. The Kent's had the contract and were looking it over with their lawyer.

The movers were carrying everything to the trucks at both houses. I said my goodbyes to Ryan and little Sam before telling Johnathan and Martha to stop by when they drop off the contract at Heretic industries. Clark said his goodbyes as well before the limo pulled up to take us to the new house.

Lana was already inside it with the girls. I had to assure Clark that our new rides were waiting at the house for us. I got in the limo and whistled and after a second Titan came running and jumped in onto my lap. The girls were busy talking about rooms and decorations with Lana so I petted Titan and made some small talk with Clark.

He filled me in on him and Lex's current situation of mistrust. I sent him files on 33.1 and told him about project leviathan Lex was starting up. He asked how I was getting my information and I told him honestly. "I keep an eye on all weapon projects outsourced by all governments Clark. The moment Lex reaches out to the navy about the project I got word of it."

I sighed. "I have the proof of 33.1 from a hack I did after you and Chloe went to level three. I wanted to know what other illegal human experimentations he was in to. I was disgusted to find my answer in this project. I sent it to a friend of mine that does the hero thing like you do every now and then. If he doesn't start taking the facilities down, I'll move against LuthorCorp and shut Lex down and have his ass tossed into prison."

Clark frowned. "That's a bit extreme-"

I shook my head. "Imagine if it was Sam he was experimenting on. He's done similar acts and if he'd have gotten ahold of Evan he'd do the same to him. If Sam grows up to have abilities from all the meteorites he and your parents have been exposed to, Lex May try for a play on him as well."

Clark's jaw hardened. "He wouldn't-"

I snorted. "You should try saying that after you've read the full file on the project. If you can stomach to that is. Lex is a modern day Dr.Mengele. If I ever get the chance to, I'll toss his ass in the phantom zone."

Clark frowned and I waved at him to read it before turning my attention to Titan. I sent images of sleeping into his mind and he looked up to me before rolling onto his side and dozing off. Twenty minutes later we arrived at the house. I woke up Titan and opened the door.

He launched himself out and sat down to scratch his ears on the lawn before going to explore. I got out and helped the girls out while Clark and Lana got out on the other side.

I gestured to the four car garage. "All of them are for each of us to use as we see fit. They have gas cards in the glove box along with the insurance and paperwork. The keys are in the house on hooks. Go pick your rooms while I have a word with the driver."

They went to explore while I paid the driver a tip of a couple grand. "Thanks for the ride and the privacy. Sorry about the dog hair if it helps."

He smiled. "No problem. The company has a vacuum for that. Thanks for the tip."

I modified his memory of everything and deleted the hidden recordings of everything I told Clark. If Lex wanted information he'd have to try harder. I left the driver to his business and headed inside to wait for the delivery trucks that my company owned.

I ordered pizza while we waited and went to check out my room. I had the rooms soundproofed and made sure their was jamming devices ready to use inside the house. I added barriers of my own that should stop any other problems we'd run into.

I made the building sturdy by powered Kryptonian standards as well. The movers arrived with the furniture before the pizza arrived so we waited outside while they worked.

When Clark went to help I told him to stop. "I'm paying them bonuses by the quality of their work. If you go around scuffing things they loose money. Sit relax and ooh, the pizzas here!"

We ate on the porch while the movers worked and they finished not long after we finished eating. There wasn't that much stuff to move even with all of us as I moved most of my stuff with my vault. The girls did the same though they still had a lot of bags of shoes for the movers.

When I saw the nearly desolate house I handed Clark a credit card. "Take Lana and let out your inner Kal. Anything that looks nice by her standards. Though get us a big as tv and stereo system along with a grill."

He took my card and grabbed his laptop. I turned to my girls. "Go wild. Just remember not turn our room into Barbie room."

Three snorts and smiles followed as they followed Clark's example. I went outside and whistled. Titan came running up and looked at me expectantly. I sent him an image of some juicy stakes and he started salivating. He followed me inside where I opened the cooler and got to work cooking.

Twelve minutes later Titan was chowing down. I sent him an image of his own bedroom and the directions to it for when he was done. He was happily slobbering on a steak bone as he tore apart the steak itself.

We spent the next two weeks making the house into a home while I made sure everything in the house stayed debugged. I found hundreds of surveillance bugs being slipped into everything that came into the house. I read the minds of the people that put them their and sent them to their various owners.

Several rich and powerful people living in the same house was bound to attract interests. Many had no connection to LuthorCorp but nearly half did. Lex received a huge box of surveillance equipment the day our orders stopped coming in. Nothing slipped through my searches unnoticed, including the Kryptonian bugs Dr.Fine sent.

It amused me when he received them back and looked flummoxed. I sent a note with them saying try harder Spike. The look on his face was worth the wait. He looked so confused till he realized he looked like a tv character.

The Kent's ended up signing and now owned a decent portion of my company. They tested the money and really did receive the billion dollar transfer the next day. They began with donating to the Smallville city then branched out into charities for those that needed it.

I smiled when Clark told me that. They were the most well liked family in their town from then on. Two days before the school term was supposed to start Clark and Lana mentioned a trip to crater lake for a swim. The girls liked the idea and dragged me along before I could even respond.

Since we were already fully ready for school, I went along with it after they made it a demand. When we arrived, they insisted I rub sun tan lotion on them. I gave in as touching them was the highlight of my day.

When Lois showed up, she mentioned moving in to the Kent's house. She happened to mention a hot tub and pool being installed at the house as well. She scowled at me when I started applying lotion vigorously to Chloe and went for a swim. Chloe was moaning a little while I did so and I chuckled.

When Clark heard her, I moaned to him to try the same to Lana. I whispered. "Think deep tissue massage while doing it. Nothing painful just relaxing."

He tried it out and Lana started moaning as well. When Chloe was good, Bonnie was next. I was working on Ayana when Clark talked about not seeing Lois. He ran into the water and fish boy came out a few seconds later. I watched him give her CPR and saw Clark's face.

I mentioned it to Lana. "Does Clark look jealous to you?"

When she saw his face as well, she looked heartbroken. When Clark didn't let up about AC as he liked to be called, Lana looked worse. We stuck around town for the day while Clark tried convincing everyone he wasn't jealous without saying the words.

Towards the end I drove us back to the house and we showered off before I cooked dinner. We had steaks with homemade potato salad and coleslaw. I made bacon bake beans and grilled corn on the cob as well. Everyone had an appetite by the time it was all done.

I made a couple extra steaks for Titan and chopped it up before putting them in his dog food. He chowed down while we sat around eating in silence till I put on some Mozart. I spent the night alone as the girls wanted a proper rest before school.

I had to drive my own car because of my workload and schedule with both schools. I missed the tail end of AC's big bomb adventure the next day. My cameras did pick up Lex saying he didn't care about marine life and Chloe showed it to Clark which demented his distrust of Lex.

My next few weeks were hectic and I missed Lana's date with vampires at MetU. I did hear about Chloe starting back at the Daily Planet again in between classes. We were all running at beyond human speeds while I showed my genius to the professors and received special tests for each of my classes.

I was able to get bumped up from intro in each course to full on advanced courses by the time the senator mishap ended. Chloe made sure to get photos of Lois on Clark's lap for jokes. I had a poster made and put it on Clark's wall.

His face was scarlet when he saw it. I got a picture of him looking at it with a red face. He melted my phone when he saw me though. Still smiling I told him. "You two do make an interesting couple, all jokes aside."

He shook his head. "She's annoying, loud and gives commands."

I chuckled. "She challenges you and deep down I can see you like it."

He turned away and closed his door in front of me. I laughed louder and headed to school again. I was currently writing six thesis's and doing nine projects for my classes. When Clark got a silver kryptonite splinter, Chloe dug it out when she followed him out of Lana's room.

She took the kryptonite splinter and told Lana it was radioactive. She volunteered to take it to Heretic industries for processing and told her she'd be paid for it if she wanted. A couple hours later I wrote a check to Lana for fifty grand because it was a rare piece.

Clark went back home for the day to relax with his parents. When I heard Johnathan was running for senator, I promised the full support of myself and Heretic industries. As a world renowned company known for saving the planet and healing the humans, Heretic industries had a lot of weight behind it.

A couple days after my pledge hit the news thanks to Chloe's article on the front page of the Daily Planet, albeit the bottom half, the governor of Kansas payed the Kent's a visit. He pledged his support as well and he was followed by a lot of people doing the same.

A week later Martha fell ill and I took a day off school to visit them. When I saw brainiac I pretended not to know him and only called bullshit on his lies. "Jor-El was the leader of the science guild and in no way was he a dictator. The council ruled krypton until general Zod turned traitor and started a civil war!"

I stepped towards him my eyes glowing red with heat vision. The girls circled him as well. "I can only think of one being that followed Zod so devotedly. It's a pleasure to meet you brain Interactive construct. Or do you prefer brainiac?"

He smiled. "I knew you were hiding amongst the humans, oh well."

He turned to Clark. "Help me bring Zod here or she dies."

I smiled and released a full powered heat vision melting half of him as the rest fell into the floor. Chloe sent me a message saying she got the black crystal from the ship so I acted. Brainiac melted into a puddle and soaked through the cracks into the ground.

Martha's sickness went away and the ship at Lex's place vanished. I turned to Clark. "Sorry, I couldn't explain at the time but I knew once he was damaged his link to your mother would weaken. She may look fine now but we need to get the nano-bots out of her pronto. Jarvis is on his way, he'll be able to do it."

Clark sighed in relief and I sat down when Chloe appeared. I told the Kent's. "Jor-El May be heavy handed, but he's just worried about the path he layer out for Clark. The crystal fortress was built by him to specifically help Clark in his journey. To put them on earth he had to use forbidden technology to travel back in time. He risked a lot and he chose you to raise his son. Clark wasn't just found my you, his ship altered its coarse to head directly to you."

Johnathan asked. "How do you know all that?"

I smiled. "I spent some time in the fortress and before you say anything, unlike Clark, I know how to use it. He cannot lie to me when I'm at the control console. I was curious and had a few questions. As for what Clark's real path is, it's to be a guiding light for all those races out there hiding from humans for fear of persecution. There are twenty eight known galaxies and a lot of them have fleeing refugees from wars on their own planets. Earth has been and will always be a hiding place, or as Clark here can attest, a new home for those in trouble. He's supposed to be an ambassador and guardian to bridge the gaps between humans and all those that come here."

The older Kent's smiled and looked at Clark proudly. I sighed. "Clark, it's a big responsibility and one you can't undertake if you're also lying to those you care about. I can tell you right now it's not me or the girls in danger."

He frowned and told his parents what he'd been hiding since he was brought back. When Clark finished he turned to me and asked. "Do you know who it is?"

I nodded. "It won't make a difference to know Clark. There's nothing that you or I can do to save them. To bring you back, Jor-El tapped directly into their life force. We can't heal that even with the glove. It's the very essence that holds the soul to the body."

Clark went to demand. "Who-"

I shook my head. "No Clark, I won't tell you. Just live your life to the fullest and continue to do good. I won't put that burden on you."

I stood up and Chloe sighed. "Sorry Clark, he's right. Knowing will only make you truly miserable. Leave it alone."

He went to stop us from leaving but his parents stopped him. We passed Jarvis on the way out. I had him be weary of Brainiac just in case he came back. It wasn't hard for him to remove the nanotechnology inside Martha as he was a more advanced version of robot than Brainiac anyway.

I continued with my college life for the next two months as when winter rolled around I planted several bugs hidden by magic on Lex. When I heard he was shot, I bugged his room in Metropolis as well. I visited him in the hospital and made sure his dream went on correctly.

He lived out a long and happy life with Lana throughout the dream. When he ran into financial trouble, my spiritual avatar gave him a job. And he rarely talked to Lionel at all. When Lionel passed away, my avatar bought the his company and destroyed it with Lex. I showed him a futuristic dream where humanity reached for the stars themselves.

I stayed by his side through most of it and kept his darker half at bay. I numbed it into a coma of its own before I left. I was so disappointed when my bugs picked up him telling his man to pull the pin. It seems Lionel has a way about him that rouses Lex's darker side.

I gave the audio recording to Johnathan to deal with and went to give my girls a merry Christmas. I found Chloe easy enough at the Kent's and Bonnie and Ayana on their way there. Chloe told me about meeting Santa. I chuckled and told her it was the real deal.

Her eyebrows shot up and I sighed. "He's a reality bound god. Basically he's an idea come to life. A concept of peace and goodwill. He has his own abilities but I can only imagine he's in a far more precarious position as his survival is linked to the faith others have in him."

She was ecstatic about the news. "I actually met Santa Claus! Santa is real?!!"

I chuckled and her enthusiasm and confirmed it for her. "Yes, he's real. Yes you met him, you'll probably meet many more deities you thought were myth later on."

A month later the senate race was in full swing. Even though Lex had given the orders, no scandal broke out for the Kent's.
