Ch.4

I looked up just as Liz was about to say something back. "Ah, the food arrives."

A platter of nachos was set in the middle of the table and my steak was given to me. Liz's burger and fries arrived as well. Jason got a burger and salad for himself. While I chowed down I turned to Liz. "So, what does a sheriff do all day when she's not escorting budding arsonists around or fighting vampires?"

She looked thoughtful. "I raise a teenage daughter and try to set a good example."

I snorted. "I'm asking what you do when you're not tied down by duty or familial obligations."

She seemed stumped so I offered. "A husband around to take you on dates or to the movies? A secret lover hidden in the mayors office that's really a thief and you love to much to arrest? Something interesting, anything really."

She shook her head. "My husband turned gay and ran off with the pool boy. My secret affair is with my job. Other than council work and sheriff duties, I have my daughter and bills."

I sighed sarcastically. "Well at least you didn't turn out to be batwomen or something."

She looked amused now. I shook my head. "Boredom is now the bane of my existence. Take it from me, when you're rich you're bored."

She smiled. "Could be worse."

I raised an eyebrow. "How so?"

She snarked. "You could be the pool boy."

I broke out into a hearty laugh and told her. "You're alright for a police officer."

She chuckled. "I try."

After we finished our meal the evening crowd started showing up and she got a call for work. "I gotta go, there's a drunk idiot peeing in front of the library."

I chuckled. "It's not me officer I swear."

She left laughing. Jason turned to me and I told him. "I'll text when I need a ride, if I need one."

He nodded and left as well. I found myself over at the pool table just as Matt and Tyler arrived. "You two up for a game? I'm out of pocket cash so unless you feel like a bank run it'll be for fun or something else."

Tyler spoke up. "I'll drive if you wanna get the cash but I've only got a grand to play with."

I nodded. "Just a second I have an easier idea."

I texted Jason to withdraw a hundred grand from the bank and bring it over. When I was done I smiled. "There cash on delivery. My butler will be here in ten minutes with some money. He's doing the back run."

Matt shook his head. "I've still got two grand from what I won last time."

He must've had a stray thought because he asked. "Speaking of which I watched your game with Stefan and it was a hell of a lot better than the way you played against me."

I shook my head. "We were both cheating for that game and I don't do it to hard working school kids or for cash. I knew he could do it because of a mutual friend of ours that taught me to play and cheat."

He accepted that. "So if you don't cheat your an average player and if you do it's pro all the way?"

I smiled. "Something like that, though if you want to see a pro go to LA. I lost a million bucks against that very same mutual friend and she wasn't cheating."

He looked stunned and Tyler whistled. "Damn he must've been a beast at pool!"

I shook my head. "She was, and then some. I got an ass tat because of a bet I lost to her. She's a party animal."

Tyler looked excited. "She hot?"

I snorted. "Her husband would say so, though my tastes lay elsewhere."

Matt finally spoke. "Bonnie huh?"

I nodded. "That girls the light of my life and I'm damned happy I lost that pool game with Stefan. It gave me something else to talk to her about and some time to do it."

He smiled. "You break her heart-"

I snorted. "No need. I'd eat a bullet before I ever did. Like I said, the light of my life."

"Oh?"

I turned and saw her and her friends there smiling. I raised an eyebrow and looked back at a grinning Matt. "You're welcome, consider us even for the pool game you lost to me."

I ignored him and walked over to Bonnie. "How much did you here?"

She sighed and kissed me deeply, I spun her into a dip and she giggled a little as I pulled her up still kissing her. When we broke apart she said. "Light of your life huh?"

I grinned. "Meant every word."

Another quick kiss and we broke apart with Caroline saying. "Uh uh. It's a girls day so no more of that."

Bonnie smiled and I chuckled as Tyler spoke up. "Go have your girls day and we'll have a guys day. If you see Stefan tell him where to find us."

Caroline nodded and dragged a smiling Bonnie away. I watched her walk away and when she noticed my eyes she smacked her ass for a laugh. I grinned before turning back to Matt and Tyler. "For that I could almost kiss you. But I have an even better surprise."

Matt replied. "Think nothing of it."

Tyler asked. "What's the surprise?"

I grinned. "My butlers bringing a hundred grand so I can bet on a few games today and I'm feeling lucky so it'll be two to one bets. I'll double whatever you have to bet with all day. Or at least until I get tired of pool."

They both looked shocked and I laughed. "Thanks again."

When Jason arrived he was carrying a duffle bag full of cash. I saw him carry it and I raised an eyebrow. "I said a hundred grand. How much did you bring?"

He shrugged. "5 million. I figured it would be like Vegas all over again and I don't have the heart to see you walking to the bank naked again."

I snorted and the guys laughed their asses off. "I've gotten better at betting since then."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing my words. I snorted and took out five hundred grand then told him. "Take the rest over to Bonnie and give it to her. Say I wanted her to have a great girls day. Give her full access to the jets and go chauffeur her around."

He went to leave and I spoke a little louder. "This time if I lose it's your negativity that broke the bad luck to me."

He stopped for a second then laughed. "Not possible sir, the back luck clings to you like a sweater in the cold."

I snorted and turned to a wide eyed Matt and Tyler. "See what I have to deal with? Negative people!"

They continued to stare as I set the money on a table beside ours. "So, whose first? Or are you both on a team?"

They looked at each other then turned to me and answered at the same time. "Team."

I chuckled. "Alright your three grand verses my six for starters. Money on the table boys."

Two hours and three hundred grand later Stefan arrived. I scowled at him. "These two seem to have picked up a thing or two. Or they're sharks."

He looked chipper which made me scowl deeper. "Elena sent me a text saying she was going to Paris for a girls day and to ask you if I was curious."

I nodded. "So she asked her aunt for permission-"

He shook his head. "Her aunts going with... and the sheriff."

I shrugged. "My butler made a clerical error and withdrew to much money. I decided to help them make their girls day better. Besides, this isn't Vegas."

He looked enlightened after I said Vegas and turned to Matt and Tyler who were counting stacks of cash. "Clearly. They haven't taken your clothes and car yet and there not making you get a tattoo."

Tyler spoke up. "His clothes are too big and he doesn't have his car with him. As for the tattoo..."

I shook my head. "Not a chance. I may not have enough for another two to one bet but I'll not be getting another tattoo anytime soon. I'd rather be naked."

Matt snorted. "We'll pass. Tell you what. We'll bet enough to nab the rest of the cash and we'll play against Stefan for it."

I shrugged and turned to Stefan. "Up to you. If you win the moneys yours, if you lose it's theirs. Sound good?"

He nodded. "Sure, I could use another car, this'll help fix the garage as well."

I winced. "I'd forgotten about that. I'll send someone to repair it."

He shook his head. "It was Damon's garage and car. But if I fix it, he'll owe me."

I shrugged. "Up to you then. It's a hundred grand of theirs vs two hundred of yours."

He nodded. "I've had worse odds."

I continued. "No cheating and it's both of them verses you."

He looked at me like I'm stupid. "I've not had worse odds are you stupid?"

I shrugged. "It seemed like a good idea at the time. At least it's not Lexi and Lee you're playing against."

He nodded and turned to them. "Whose turn is it to break?"

Tyler raised his hand and Stefan looked glum. Matt chuckled. "I'm racking so be happy with that."

I laughed and headed for the bar. On the way I whispered. "They're cheating but don't follow their lead, I'll pay up instead later."

I turned to see him nod and continued on my way. I heard him whisper. "Bourbon neat."

Chuckling I placed his order and order me a pitcher of Long Island ice tea. I was feeling like a buzz was where I wanted to be so sue me. When I came back I saw their game was underway. Even with their amateur cheating Stefan was putting on the pressure with his actual skills instead of vamp senses.

I passed him his drink just as he scratched on the eight ball. They had two chances to sink it before he got his next shot. I smiled and downed half the pitcher of mixed drink. As soon as I sat it down I felt the alcohol setting in.

Tyler asked. "Can I get some of that?"

I chuckled and passed it to him. "It's a strong mixed drink so be careful it likes to sneak up on you."

He ignored my advice and took a long draft just as Matt sunk the eight ball and won. Tyler looked happy but then started acting woozy. I took the now one fourth full pitcher back and finished it off. "I told you to be careful."

He looked at me funny. "Dude, how are you still standing?"

I chuckled. "Good genes and a strong liver."

I turned to Matt. "Make sure he gets home safe. He'll probably be puking his guts out soon enough."

He nodded and grabbed a bag for the cash from the bar. After helping Tyler to his car, they took off. I turned to Stefan. "How many times did you almost cheat?"

He shook his head and walked to his car. "To damn many."

I chuckled and walked over with him. "I need a ride. Oh and Whickery bridge is out. Damon and I burnt it to the ground. I'm paying to have a safer and sturdier bridge built."

He shook his head. "Damon's involved in destroying something, why am I not surprised?"

I chuckled. "Well I was bored and so I went to him for ideas. I had an epiphany about it not being safe for Bonnie to cross so often with all the accidents on it so I offered to get us drunk and burn it down. He knew the mayor and Sheriff so we did it the legal way. Bribes."

He shook his head. "I can't tell whose the worst influence, you or him!"

I chuckled. "I realized I had nothing to do whilst Bonnie was at school. Expect more arson throughout the school week."

He looked about ready to pop a blood vessel so I calmed him down. "I was jesting on that last part. Though I'm sure I could find a few builds to buy and destroy. Ahh that reminds me."

I trailed off and made plans to buy a few properties. I sent Jason a list to disseminate to the appropriate people. I wanted the apothecary from the Gilbert's and the old haunted witch house Emily was killed at for Bonnie for later. If I asked nice enough I'm sure they'd even let me charge up all my Talismans before hand. I'd have to make it a point to drain the bell tower of its latent hell magical energy and break its spells.

I added the armory to the list for funzzies. After I was done with the text I turned my attention back to Stefan. "Head to your place, I'm still bored and our girlfriends are in Paris."

Stefan raised a good question. "Don't you worry about her going so far out of your reach?"

I sighed. "Not really. Jason has combat training from four tours in Iraq and he's fluent in French and a dozen other languages. He has a special diplomatic immunity that allows him to carry and use weapons in all countries he visits. There's also the fact that if by the off chance he runs into a vampire, he's on vervain and all he has to do is tell them my origins and they'll back off. If that fails he'll kill them or I'll get a video of his death from his body cam and hunt them down myself. Their death would be legendary and I'd burn the city Bonnie died in to the ground for not protecting her. No vampire in a thousand miles of the city would survive."

He was shaking for some reason but I ignored that as he asked. "You'd kill so many?"

I chuckled. "Over a thousand years I've burned many cities to the ground for far less important people. When Joan d'arc was killed I slaughtered two armies and burned several cities and she was just a friend. Imagine what I'd do to a vampire that harmed or even looked at Bonnie wrong. I've lived through the Spanish Inquisition and fought their tyranny, I picked up a few things along the way."

I sighed. "I wasn't kidding when I told your brother I'd put him in an Iron Maiden and down a well for a century or two. I don't make idol threats, their pointless."

Stefan looked like he was about to start hyperventilating for a second there. I shrugged and looked out the window. We spent the rest of the ride in quiet contemplation. I enjoyed the peace of it all. When we arrived I saw Damon open the door. I got out. "So this is where you ran off after the bridge fire."

Damon looked a little guilty. "I figured you were done drinking and I wasn't nearly as drunk as I wanted to be."

I shook my head. "I went back to the grill for drinks and pool. I lost half a mill to the amateur hustlers and had a pitcher of tea."

He looked confused. "Tea?"

Stefan elaborated. "Long island variety."

Damon seemed enlightened. "Oh, well what are you doing here?"

I shrugged. "Bored again. Bonnie's having a girls night out in Paris and Stefan was there so I hitched a ride and here I am."

Damon seemed a little slow right now because all he got from that was. "Paris?"

I walked passed him and smacked the back of his head. When he looked mad I apologized. "Sorry, you seemed a little dim so I thought it would sober you up. Keep up now."

Stefan laughed and filled him in as I headed for their liquor cabinet. When I found the good stuff a sat on the couch and poured myself a glass. " You both need better alcohol. I'll have someone send over a few cases later."

When they came inside I asked them. "So, what's on the todo list. Enemies to kill, dragons to slay?"

Stefan grabbed a glass and poured himself some while saying. "I don't know, I'm not the big schemer right now."

I turned to Damon. "Want to burn down a building?"

He smiled while Stefan interrupted. "No buildings need burned!"

Damon laughed and I shrugged. "Then I got nothing. You got any ideas Damon?"

He shook his head. "Nothing you'd be interested in doing."

I drank my glass and poured another. "We're three badass immortals with limitless fund between us and nothing to do. This is pathetic. I guess I could conjure up some trouble from the witches on the other side."

They both looked anxious at that and cried out. "No don't!""Please don't!"

I snorted and sat back. "In all my time of living the only times I felt this bored was when I starved myself for decades at a time. Even the pain got boring after a while."

They both looked at me like I was crazy now. 'Oh well that's their opinion.' I turned to the wonder twins and asked. "What do you do when you're bored?"

Damon held up his glass and Stefan replied. "I write in my journal."

I snorted. "I got bored of doing that after a century and taught my staff to do it for me. Before them the smartest Indian in the tribe that lived here did I and before them it was whatever witch I was teaching. I'll stick with Damon's idea."

I continued to drink. I sighed. "I wish Bonnie were here. She's so fun and alive."

I turned to them. "You both are as boring as dead badgers."

Damon snorted and Stefan thought of something. "You could go see Lexi."

I shook my head. "I sent her home with Vickie and Lee. Basically a headache and Vickie."

Stefan chuckled and Damon answered. " You could unlock the tomb?"

I shrugged. "Meh, it's not that important and I'm doing it Friday anyway."

He pressed. "Think of all the fun Katherine would be."

I gave him my best back off stare and replied. "Don't press your luck or I'll stick you in the tomb with her and you can rot together."

Stefan jumped in to avoid that outcome. "We could burn that building."

I sat up straighter as a thought hit me. "That's idea!"

Stefan looked pensive as I turned to him. "Not yours, that's a stupid idea I already burned a bridge today. No I think I'm going to get a job as a teacher!"

Damon pointed out. "A, you have no credentials and b, you can't compel anyone because you're lacing the towns water supply with vervain."

I sighed and shook my head. "Bonnie would get mad at me for it."

I turned to him. "Those are decent reasons too but I could always bribe the school board. People are more easily controlled by greed than mind control."

Stefan put another idea forward. "You could go bother someone else."

I shrugged. "You're right I think I'll go see what Anna and Jeremy are up to."

I sat up and downed the liquor in my glass before grabbing the crystal canteen and saying. "One for the road." Before emptying it as well.

I sat it down and blurred running at a fast pace towards the Gilbert house. I jumped the river where the new bridge is being built and continued on faster. When I got there Jeremy was just getting home with Anna. I stopped right next to them. Anna went into a defensive stance and hissed for a second then stood back up saying. "Oh, it's you."

I smiled. "Nice timing, though a little slow."

Jeremy turned around. "What's up?"

I shrugged. "I'm bored and the wonder twins are even more boring than watching paint dry so I came to see what you two were up to."

Anna smiled. "I know their really broody. We're fixing to play games and order pizza. The note on the door said Jenna and Elena are having some sort of girls night out."

I nodded. "I'll join and I'll even pay for the pizza. Their in Paris on a mini vacation. I gave Bonnie four million and some change to have a decent night out. They'll be back around midnight I guess. If not later."

Jeremy looked stunned. "Four million for a night out?!!"

I turned to Anna. "Sounds reasonable doesn't it? Everyone I tell is stunned for some reason."

She smiled. "It's a small town and other than the both of us no one else is old enough to have saved up that kind of money."

I shrugged and sat on the couch. "Anyway, my favorite people to hangout with are to far away and I'm bored so here I am."

Jeremy was still stunned so I told Anna. "Order the pizza and add a meat lovers with extra cheese and mushrooms."

I turned on the game console and tv while grabbing a controller. When I saw there was only to I grabbed my phone and called Jason. "Hey, have someone drop off a PlayStation 4 and a variety of games with extra controllers and the largest tv that could reasonably fit in a living room at the Gilbert's house."

Jason replied. "Bored already sir?"

I snorted. "I'd trade you places in a heartbeat with a smile so yeah."

He laughed. "You'd do that even if you weren't bored. I'll see to it."

I hung up and turned to the two teen love birds who looked shocked. "Don't look at me like that. The last time I was this bored London mysteriously caught fire."

Their gaping mouths closed. I wasn't about to tell them I did it on accident. Or that I did it a second time on purpose. I tossed Jeremy the controller and headed upstairs saying. "Where does Elena keep her diary?"

Jeremy bolted after me as I got to the stairs. I chuckled and blurred back to the couch. "Just kidding, I wouldn't read that sob story on a bet. So, did you hear, I burnt the bridge that killed your parents down and my people are rebuilding a better one."

Jeremy looked stressed out and Anna looked a little angry. She finally spoke. "If you're so bored you could always open the tomb early."

I chuckled. "Damon said the same thing."

When I didn't continue she asked. "And?"

I rolled my eyes. "I told him if he continued on that subject I'd open it and shove him and Katherine inside to rot together. I guess I could do the same to you if you want."

She shook her head paling. "Pass."

I snorted. "Then wait till Friday like a good little girl."

Jeremy smiled. "How about turning me?"

I sneered. "Give it a few years. Take it from me, vampires are immortal. You don't want to end up like Stefan or Anna here and unable to grow up further."

He grumbled and Anna smiled. "He's right, give it a few years. You may change your mind."

I shook my head thinking out loud. "Teenagers."

Fifteen minutes later my staff arrived with a 110-inch plasma screen tv with surround sound and a brand new PlayStation. I blurred at speeds faster than the human eye and most vampires eyes could see as I set it all up. When I was done I tossed the controller on Jeremy's lap. "You two on that screen, I'll play on the smaller one and Jeremy?"

He looked up and I continued. "Don't day I never gave you anything."

He grinned and I chuckled. "Set I up, I'll be right back, Pizza's here and I'm hungry for more than what they brought."

Anna spoke up. "Bring me some back if you can."

I nodded and tossed her a bank card. "Use that to pay."

I vanished just as the pizza guys car stopped and ran to my house for a bag of blood. Ten seconds later I was biting into sweet nectar. After I finished my bag I tossed a couple in a mini cooler with some ice and ran back.

I arrived just as the pizza guy got to the door. Anna paid and I held up the cooler. "I brought drinks."

I passed her and the pizza man and sat back down. Jeremy was bizzy setting up a new profile on the new system. Anna came over with the pizzas and I held up the cooler for her to trade with. I set the pizzas she handed me on the coffee table while she fed. "I don't know how many it takes for someone so young I've long since forgotten and back in the day we didn't exactly have bags to feed from."

She shrugged and continued while I opened the pizzas. I slid the first one off. "Who eats pineapple one pizza? Sick."

Jeremy spoke up. "You drink blood and mainline booze when your not with Bonnie and you judge my pizza topping as sick?"

I snorted. "I'm a vampire and I get bored and depressed after to long and I don't want to be all broody like Stefan. I have reasons. You're human and choose that as a topping. You need therapy and a doctor."

Anna choked on blood laughing and Jeremy shook his head. "Whatever man."

I bit into meat lovers heaven and started up call of duty black ops the first one. A true classic. I started solo while they set up their profiles. Jeremy announced. "I don't have that one."

I chuckled. "Check the box, they anticipate my needs most of the time. There's two of every game in there. Now boot up cause this is to easy solo."

I was tearing through zombies not missing a shot. My headshot count was the same as my kill count and climbing as the game progressed. When they were ready I was already twenty rounds in. I backed out and we spent the night eating pizza and kicking ass. Every hour or so I'd get bored and we'd switch games.

Finally I looked at the clock and saw it was two a.m. I stopped and turned to Jeremy. "Sorry, but bed little man. It's a school night."

He wanted to bulk but Anna took his hand and led him upstairs. "No more than an hour Anna. I gotta be responsible here."

I turned off the electronics and put the leftovers in the fridge. I took the cooler with the now empty blood bags with me and closed the door as I left. I ran home and sat on my porch. When I started to get impatient I called Jason. "How is everything?"

He answered right away in a hushed voice. "They turned themselves out shopping and tried to spend it all. The blond one actually succeeded in the end on shoes. Their sleeping right now. We'll be back in an hour tops."

I sighed. "I'll be at the airport waiting for you to arrive. You listed who bought what?"

He snorted. "I wouldn't be me If I didn't."

I grinned. "I know sorry old friend. I'll leave you with the bags. Separate it and have the staff send them to each of their homes."

I hung up and watched as the staff prepared themselves with each text he sent them. I blurred and found myself at the airport. 'Now to play the waiting game.'

I sat on the hood of one of my many cars. I closed my eyes and drifted until I heard the planes engine shut off. I popped up and ran over. When the stairs descended I was on them. I saw her face just as she woke up and I knew it was worth the wait.

She sat up slowly. "What are you doing here?"

I chuckled. "You're back in mystic falls. I got bored and decided to wait at the airport."

Jason snorted. "At least you're didn't burn it don't like the bridge."

I chuckled. "I was bored so sue me."

He grunted. "If I did I'd get less money."

I laughed a little louder, waking the other occupants. I ignored them and kept my eyes on Bonnie. She asked. "What bridge did you burn?"

I sighed. "Old Whickery bridge. It wasn't safe for you to drive over so often. I sort of have bad luck with some things and I decided not to risk it. It's not the only one but still a valid reason."

She raised an eyebrow. "And the other reason?"

I grinned. "A secret. A very dangerous for my own health one."

She nodded. "Need to know only. Got it."

I chuckled. "If you really want to know all my secrets I'll tell you as the come up."

She sighed. "Alright, I look forward to it."

I nodded." Let's get you all home. I'll be your driver this evening. Jason here has some orders to disseminate then he can go home and rest. Leave your stuff that's his job. He took notes so don't worry he's very efficient. It'll all be hand delivered in the morning as soon as you open the front door."

I led them off the plane to the mustang convertible they drove here in. My first stop was Caroline's house. Then the Gilbert house while they were getting out I told Jenna. "Sorry about the living room, if you don't want it there I'll move it to Jeremy's room tomorrow."

Elena and her looked at me funny but as soon as they closed the car doors I drove off laughing like a lunatic. Bonnie's house was last. I carried her inside because she fell asleep again. When I laid her down on the bed she grabbed my arm. "Stay."

I smiled and helped her take off her shoes and helped her change into her night clothes. After pulling the blanket over her I slid off my boots sent a text to Erica the second in line after Jason to return their vehicles with a full tank and reminded them to bring breakfast to them in the morning with their clothes and stuff.

I slid in bed beside Bonnie and she rolled onto me a little before laying her head on my arm and drifting off. I smiled and watched her sleep half the night before I succumbed to sleep myself.

Morning came and with it a happy squeal as Bonnie's stuff arrived. I'm not ashamed to say I was startled awake ready for battle. She came inside her room bright and happy. "Thank you so much for yesterday."

I nodded and rubbed the sleep out my eyes . "Yeah beautiful, you deserved it. I just wish you didn't have school today."

She smiled and kissed me. An action I accepted whole heartedly. I kissed her back with fire and passion. Unfortunately her grams came in at that moment. "Don't you be tempting her, she's got school to get to."

I grumbled then kissed her back before saying. "Fine, I'll drive you."

She shook her head. "Elena's picking me up. Her car just got out of the shop."

I growled a little. "I'll see you at the grill when you get off?"

She shook her head as her grams spoke up. "She's doing witch training with me and I think it's time she and I had that talk. "

I looked to Sheila then sighed. "Fine, but you call me right after. No excuses."

She nodded. "I'll even be nice and use the phone. "

I scowled and grabbed my boots. "I guess I'll go grab a shower and see what Damon's up to. Perhaps I'll get to burn down a building after all."

Bonnie asked. "What?"

I chuckled. "Running joke. Something I said to spook Stefan and Damon."

I kissed her one last time savoring the feel and taste before blurring and running home. I showered got an update on the properties I wanted to buy and seeing as it was all good I headed to the Salvatore house. I walked in like I owned the place and Stefan looked up from the couch. "Honey I'm home!"

He grunted. "What's got you in a chipper mood?"

I shrugged. "Bonnie's back. Unfortunately there's this annoying school thing and all that jazz. On the plus side when she goes to college I can join her."

He scowled his usual. "Thinking ahead."

I shrugged. "Gotta be positive. Oh and I bought your girlfriends brother a giant ass v with surround sound and a bunch of games."

I turned to see Damon coming downstairs with sunglasses on and an ice pack on his forehead. I snorted. "Lightweight."

He groaned and headed for his stash of blood. Stefan was about to leave when I asked him. "Do you want to know a secret? Just a small one?"

He shrugged. "Sure. "

I chuckled. "Elena's adopted and the guy she thinks is her uncle is actually her father. Her mother is your new history teachers wife and he's an amateur vampire hunter. Whose here to kill your brother because he actually killed and turned his wife aka Elena's mother into a vampire."

He looked shocked enough so I waved. "Ciao."

I sped over to the liquor cabinet and noticed the good stuff I sent was here. I poured me a glass and pretended Stefan was invisible.

I ran through the house like a demented loony toon opening every door and window before sitting back on the couch and drinking the two hundred year old whiskey. Stefan was still standing there shocked as Damon came back up from the basement and looked at him. "Aren't you suppose to be at school by now?"

Damon looked around to the breezy house with everything open. I pointed at Stefan and said. "He did it."

That succeeded in waking him up. "Huh?"

Damon shooed him away saying. "Quit your crap it's childish and above you."

I laughed my ass of as I sipped my drink. When Damon came back in he ran around and closed everything. I chuckled at his tedious task and enjoyed my drink by the glass now.

When he sat back down with his own glass I said. "So, same thing as yesterday except more bloodshed?"

He looked baffled so I elaborated. "Would you like to here a small secret?"

He nodded. "Sure."

I grinned. "Your buddy Enzo survived that fire and he's still being held captive at Whitmore in the same holding facility. He's been their singular test subject for so long it's not even funny. I say we set him free, watch as he kills the doctor whose well, playing doctor. Maybe even point him to the last surviving Whitmore and let him take out his rage on them. Then at least you'll have a less boring friend around."

He looked stunned and devastated. I couldn't have shocked him more if I'd have thrown him into an electrical substation. When he didn't answer for the longest time I sped around the house reopening all the doors and windows. I grabbed the cask and refilled both our drinks before sitting back down.

I reached forward and slapped him across the room. When he landed I chuckled and watched him get up. He looked around and groaned. I laughed. "You must've tripped when you opened everything up."

He sneered before closing them all and sitting back down in front of me and asking. "Is it true? Is he alive?"

I nodded. "Sure, if you can call that living. So, what do you want to do about it? Cause my plan sounded perfect to me."

He nodded. "Your plan it is then."

I smiled. "Race you there."

I blurred and he tried to keep up when we arrived at Whitmore college I walked at a steady pace to the old Whitmore house. I stopped and held up a hand. "He's experimenting on Enzo right now."

Damon continued walking. "All the more reason to free him now!"

I shook my head. "We wait until he's done then free Enzo and let Enzo kill Whitmore. The good doctor will be forced to call a meeting with his secret club and you and he can slaughter them all and burn their records. Our second priority is to destroy all information they have. Their trying to make a virus that spreads and forces vampires to feed on their own."

He stopped at that. "How many secrets do you know?"

I snorted. "To damn many most days. The only reason I told you this one was to get you to shut up about the tomb till Friday and to alleviate my boredom."

He shook his head and I listened in. "He's done for now. He teaches a class in fifteen minutes we'll act as soon as he's in class. I'll disable all electricity with a pulse of magic then we'll move in."

He nodded and I turned to him. "Go hide. He's headed our way."

Damon ran off and I looked bored and sat down on a bench. It wasn't hard to pull off either. When he passed me I saw Damon out of the corner of my eye and shook my head. Once the good doctor was inside his classroom I waved Damon over. "Now we act."

I blurred to right outside the basement door then spoke. "Give me a second."I grabbed my handy dandy talisman and drained it before sending out a burst of magic that fried everything in the building.

When I was done I pulled out my melted phone. "Oops. Well yours is fried too."

He looked a little angry. "Don't get pissy with me it's the price of privacy now how free him and burn the place down. If he needs blood remember. Snack feed erase. No killing unless they deserve it."

He grunted and blurred. Five minutes later he ran out carrying Enzo and the buildings on fire. I used the rest of my magic to make it burn hotter and faster. We blurred to the coed dorm and Damon compelled several people to feed Enzo.

When he was strong again he grabbed Damon by the throat. "You left me to burn."

I watched as their spat played out before I'd had enough and grabbed Enzo and Damon by the throats and squeezed. When they her choking on their knees I spoke. "That's enough out of the both of you or I'll end your playtime and send you to the corner."

When I was done I released them. "Now stand up and act like civilized vampires out for revenge on your human captures and go hunt the Whitmore runt. After Enzo kills him in a grisly obviously vampire manor deposit his body the good doctors office. I'll wait by the classroom and listen in for the secret club meeting arrangements."

Enzo stood up choking still. "Who the bloody hell are you, mate? And why should I take your orders?"

Damon snorted. "How about because he's the reason I found out you were alive."

I shook my head. "I like my reason better. Because if you don't, your final freedom after so long will end in your very painful and gruesome end. And trust me when I say you'll feel every exquisite moment of it before I take your ring off and you die by sunlight."

Damon sighed. "Or that too."

Enzo raised an eyebrow and I shooed him away. "Go have your revenge on the hapless human you hate so much. But while your doing it, I want you to realize he's as innocent as your last love. He's harmed no one and only tried to help people. I'll be here waiting for when it's done."

They blurred away and I shook my head sighing. "There still young yet."

I walked to the classroom that the good doctor was teaching and waited outside. After class ended I heard screaming and I knew they'd done it. I could smell the blood now. After twenty minutes the paramedics arrived and thirty minutes later the good doctor made a phone call. "Whitmore is dead we need to call a meeting, it looks like the subject got lose and killed him. It's too public to keep quiet."

"One hour, gallery."

The good doctor confirmed. "I'll be there."

I whistled and both Damon and Enzo showed up. "The gallery? Either of you know it?"

Damon snorted. "Looks like you don't know everything. The gallery is where they hosted the party and showed us off."

I nodded. "Go have your fun with him but before he dies find out where the rest of the Augustine files are and destroy them. I'll not see a virus wipe us out."

I grabbed Damon's arm as Enzo went to introduce himself. "Who said he has to die today or any day. If he turns you two can return the pain many fold. I don't condone the Whitmore boys death but I don't care if the doctor suffers for eternity. Just a thought."

I let him go and drained another Talisman to throw up a sound barrier around the office. I didn't care how they tortured him so long as they got the info and destroyed the files. After fifty minutes I walked in to hear the sounds of a horsed voice pleading. Enzo was flaying the doctor and Damon was breaking his toes joint by joint. I spoke. "As amusing as this is, wrap it up. We have ten minutes till the big party. Bring him along if you must but do shut him up."

Enzo smiled. "With pleasure."

He knocked the doctor out. I turned to Damon . "Did you get the location of the files and all documents?"

He nodded. "I swiped his laptop and most of the hard copies burnt in the fire. The only thing that isn't here or destroyed is the older hard copies he said were in a secret location. We were trying to get it out off him just now."

I nodded and took the laptop. "No need, I already know it's location. I'm actually about to own it when certain people sign it over. I'll deal with it. You both have a party to get to and I have business to do. Head home when you're full of having fun. And do be sure to compel any secret copies out of your party guest. After today I don't want to hear about this damned experiment again. If the government knows do be sure to inform me I'll have it white washed and all people involved taken out."

I blurred and disappeared, destroying the sound barrier I'd placed as I went. I dropped the laptop off at home at told Jason to destroy all files on it and track down anyone who knew about it and send a squad to end it all. I blurred once more to the Gilbert clinic I was trying to buy and went into the basement with a five gallon jug of gasoline. I found the hidden room and poured gasoline all over the place before lighting a match and tossing it. I closed the hidden door and left the clinic in a blur.

Smiling I headed to the grill for a steak and cheese fries. I found the good sheriff there in new designer clothes obviously off duty. I thought 'good for her'. I smiled and sat down at a booth and waited for the waiter. After I ordered I felt slightly bored again. I remembered Bonnie's happy smile and I felt sad that it couldn't last.

I sighed to myself and ate my meal after it arrived. After I was done I left heading to my house. I arrived home and received an update. "All the properties but the clinic went through. I've handled the laptop business and teams were sent to several places with the instructions to find out if there was anyone else that knew then end it."

I nodded and sighed. "The world changes but the people don't."

I shook my head. "Jason set up a state of the art health care clinic and fly in the best doctors you can find. Tell them I'll pay a hundred million to the doctor that succeeds in helping Sheila Bennet get better. Have them arrive tomorrow at the earliest. The end of the week at the latest."

He nodded and I headed to my cars. I wasn't feeling slow today so I chose one of my Lamborghini Murcielago's. I drove over to the Salvatore house and went inside to wait.

After three more hours of drinking alone they both showed up with the good doctor looking like a horror film reject. "Put the doctor in the basement and go grab a shower, the both of you."

I texted Jason to send over some extra blood in a cooler and waited. The cooler arrived just as they both came down. Enzo eyed my staff saying. "You brought lunch, you shouldn't have."

I snorted. "Touch them and your head will hit the floor long before your body."

He chuckled. "Stop flirting with me, your not any good at it."

I raised an eyebrow and unfolded my arms. Damon grabbed his arm saying. "Perhaps you shouldn't antagonize the scary old vampire that can take your head off with a small pat."

Enzo looked at him then to me and asked. "How old are you then mate? Three hundred? Four?"

I chuckled and Damon whispered. "Try a thousand."

Enzo's eyes flew open. "Damn, that is old."

I shrugged. "It is what it is."

He held up his hands. "No offense mate but I'll be taking the good doctor and leaving. They weren't tied to the government so he's mine right?"

I nodded. "He's all yours but if I get word your using him to remake the Augustine crap I'll end you before you know what hit you. Take him and skip town for all I care. I here Borneo is wonderful this time of year. I have a nice house down there your welcome to."

He smiled. "Wonderful, now all I needs a set of wheels."

I tossed him the keys to the Lamborghini our front. "The cars yours so long as I never see you again."

Damon looked down but a little happy. I turned to him. "This is why I don't share secrets often. No one comes out all the way happy or mad. It's an odd feeling isn't it?"

He smiled. "I guess it is."

I turned to Enzo. "The cooler has enough for you to get to the border of Mexico without needing more. After that it's on you. Type in Borneo into the gps on the dash, it'll give you directions to the house. It'll self delete once you arrive there. I do mean it when I say I hope to never see you again."

He nodded and blurred. I ignored him and Damon's rushed goodbyes and enjoyed my liquor. When he finally left I turned to a brooding Damon who was nursing his own drink. "To friends come and gone."

He raised his glass and drank with me. I sighed. "Don't look so glum. If he'd found out you killed the girl he liked he'd have gutted you or tried to kill Elena."

He asked. "Tried?"

I grinned. "She's Bonnie's friend, I'd have separated him from this mortal coil before I allowed her to be killed."

He brightened up at that. "So you do care for Elena and the rest of us."

I shook my head. "I care for Bonnie and her friends and right now you aren't even close to being in either category. The only other people I care about are my staff and may the gods have pity on your soul if you attack one of them because I won't and I can keep your soul around long enough to make you regret existing."

He held up his hands in defeat and I smiled. "Friday I open the tomb. What's four more days of waiting?"

He looked pensive and I chuckled. "I could always drain you dry and tie you up till then. I guarantee you'll forget all about Katherine in the meantime."

He grimaced. "I'll pass. Though I suspect that's just a short nap for you."

I nodded absently and got up. "Well it's time I be off. The grill awaits and I need to get a new phone."

I blurred over to my house and had Jason give me a cloned copy of my old phone before blurring to the grill. I arrived just as the school crowd showed up. Stefan, Elena and Caroline showed up just as I sat in an empty booth. Stefan saw me and told the rest. They came over and sat down as well. Elena looked dead at me and asked. "What do you know about my birth mother?"

I raised an eyebrow and looked at Stefan. "You sure work fast. I just told you this morning."

He shrugged. "She deserved time know."

I smiled. "I guess your right."

Elena finally got tired of me ignoring her and elbowed Stefan. I chuckled and turned all my attention to her. "I know a lot about your family dating back to Katherine and even further. Hell your blood line goes back two thousand years give or take. I know enough about your family to send a saner man screaming into a drooling mess from fear. So when you speak to me like that, it'd be better to have more respect in your tone little girl."

She back into her seat and Stefan arms where she felt safer. I sighed and told her. "Use the information I gave you and find out for yourself. I all but gave you her name. I like you, hell I like Stefan most days, when he's less broody anyway. I like Caroline and Jeremy and even Jenna. I'd do absolutely anything for Bonnie. But don't take my complacencies for weakness or some need to make your life better. I told Stefan a small group of secrets I knew and I'm being questioned like I owe you something. Well listen here girl. I owe you very little and your center of the universe trip ends at my door. I've lived far to long to talked down to like a common thug. Leave now before I decide I no longer wish to see any of you again."

She caved in on herself trying to make herself look small. Stefan stood up. "I think we should go."

I turned to him. "You're not the only one I've told a secretory today. Your brother had that pleasure as well. We spent the day together. I got to burn two buildings down and he slaughtered a room full of people all because I told him the one secret. I'm telling you this as a warning for your wise actions. It's not healthy to know my secrets. I've warned Bonnie about asking about them because there are some even I can't protect her from once she knows. Be sure to continue your wise actions moving forward, neither of you may like what you find behind those doors. And once opened their almost impossible to close again."

He nodded. "Thanks, I'll keep it in mind. What was the bridge burning about?"

I grinned. "A secret I'd kill you to protect. Are you sure you want to know?"

He shook his head. "No thanks. We'll be going."

I nodded and ordered a beer while I waited on Sheila's call. Half an hour later it came and I was at her door in a blink. I knocked and a red eyed crying Bonnie answered. I hugged her as soon as the door was open. "I know. I just didn't have the heart to tell you myself. I'm having a special wing of the hospital cordoned off and the best doctors in the world flying in. Tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I've offered them and hundred million If they can cure her or even give her more time."

She cried in my arms and I held her there for a several minutes reassuring her I was doing all I could. When she was calm again I followed her to the living room where Sheila was waiting. "I assume you heard me?"

She nodded. "Thank you for that."

I waved her off. "The only other solution I have would be a temporary linking between the both of us. I was raised by Ayana and Bonnie holds my heart. It'd be enough to give you a year but then you'd die even if someone else found a solution."

She looked me dead in the eyes. "What would it do to you?"

I didn't answer for a minute before I broke under her stern gaze. "I'd die in your place. You'd be using my body as fuel essentially to keep yourself alive. When the year was up, you'd join me on the other side. I don't know if my body would be strong enough for me to come back. But there's no guarantee it wouldn't be!"

She shook her head and Bonnie was shivering from more unshed tears and pain. I put an arm around her and pulled her down on the couch next to me. Sheila sighed. "I won't be the one to bring down the protector of my family line. Bonnie's alive and there'll be later generations that will need you I'm sure. I'll go to this clinic your setting up and let them try their best. If they fail then it's my time."

I held Bonnie closer and tried to comfort her the best I could. When Sheila left to her room I carried Bonnie upstairs to hers. I sent a text to Jason to send over some food and give Sheila the information for tomorrow's hospital visit.

I laid there and held her in my arms and for a while we didn't speak. Just when I thought she was asleep she spoke. "Tell me something that'll take my mind off this."

I grunted. "That's a heavy order to fill."

After a minute I told her. "After I left this morning, I was a little emotional about what I knew she was going to tell you. I couldn't stop thinking about you and how you'd feel. How I could make it better if I do this or that. In my distraction and emotional mess Stefan said something I can't for the life of me remember. But it was enough for me to ask him if he wanted to know a secret. He agreed and I told him a bunch of small ones. -"

Bonnie looked up into my eyes and asked. "What were they?"

I smiled sardonically. "Elena is adopted. Her real parents are John and a woman that married your history teacher. He's here in town to kill Damon who killed and turned his wife. Aka Elena's birth mother into a vampire."

She took a deep breath and I shook my head. "It's true but I shouldn't have said it the way I did. It left Stefan stunned. I mentally decided since your world was going to be off kilter theirs should be too. I ran at speeds not even Stefan could see and opened up all the doors and windows of his manor. Then I sat don and hat some liquor. Stefan hadn't moved or reacted even when Damon came in and asked what all the mess was. I pointed at Stefan and blamed him."

She broke out in a fit of giggles. I smiled and continued. "Damon sent him on his way and closed everything before sitting across from me. I don't know why but I asked him as well. Do you want to know a secret?"

Poked my chest. "And?"

I sighed. "He said yes. I told him a long time friend of his was being experimented on and tortured. You see Damon was captured and tortured at the same place and he met the other vampire and plotted revenge on them. When Damon escaped a fire broke out and he couldn't save him. I told him the location and a plan to get revenge if he decided to do so. I helped him find the place and destroy it then as per the plan, they killed a kid that was no older than Jeremy and put him in the doctors office that did it all. The kid was the last surviving member of the family that started it all. When the doctor called a meeting with the bosses I listened in and got the meeting place. They tortured the doctor for the better part of an hour for all the information on the project he was doing. You see, the doctor was making a vampire virus to infect my kind. They'd only be able to feed on other vampires. Doesn't sound to bad right?"

Bonnie looked at me worriedly and I sighed again. "The virus would've ended all of my kind me included. I have no defense against something like that so I destroyed it and all the files of it. I'm sure I could've cured it eventually with some obscure magic but it wouldn't have given me that sort of time. I couldn't risk it. So I had to destroy it. I had everyone's go had a hand in it or knew about it killed. Damon and his friend killed the group in charge and I had Jason track all those connected to it and had them dealt with."

She looked a little sick when I said that. I stopped and looked at her. "Do you disagree with my actions?"

After a long uncomfortable silence she shook her head. "You had to protect yourself and the good ones like Lexi even if you were also protecting the bad ones as well."

I nodded. "Something like that. Though I'd argue I was anything but good. But I guess that's beside the point. I sent Damon's friend away with a car and blood to South America. I gave him a house I have down there. And I told him if I ever saw him again I'd end him before he knew I was there. Oh and I burned two buildings."

She snorted and smiled and I frowned a bit and told her. "I may have scared Elena, Stefan and Caroline. I was waiting on the call from Sheila and Elena came into the grill where I was waiting she sat down with those two and started demanding answers to the secrets I told Stefan. I was already on edge waiting for the bad call and here was Elena acting like she was the center of the universe. I sort of told her as much and basically told them to piss off. I wasn't in my right mind. If you want I'll find her later and apologize."

She shook her head. "You gave her answers to questions she hadn't thought to ask. It's fine. I'll talk to her later and smooth things over as best I can."

I shrugged. "Just to so we're clear, you are the center of my universe Bonnie."

She smiled and I shook my head and grimaced. "I'm trying to say something I haven't said to someone else in all my very long existence."

She looked me in the eyes and I said it. "I love you Bonnie Bennet."

She smiled and kissed me long and passionately. When she broke away she replied. "I love you too Alexander-"

I sighed. "Another secret. My last name"

I bit out. "Mikaelson."

Bonnie tried it out a few times before saying it again. "I love you too Alexander Mikaelson."

I smiled and kissed her back. I spent the night talking with her about my childhood and the years I'd spent learning magic. We talked so long the sun had risen on us. I texted Jason to inform the school she was going to be out for a family emergency all week and laid back to continue talking with her.

I told her everything I could about my long life. I skipped secrets and kept on going. She seemed to want to know it all as well. She avidly asked questions and I answered everything honestly. I told her of battles so old the world had forgotten them and wonderful enchanting place long since ruined by man.

I told her of all my encounters with her ancestors whether helping or sexual encounters. I told her everything and anything I could think of. From my thoughts at my first battle to the day before. It was a time of great purging for me. And a way for her to get to know me.

I told her of the meditation sleeps I did to avoid overcrowding my mind with memories of things to small to matter. And those that woke me not out of compulsion but compassion. I told her of my years fighting slavery and all I did to stop it. She came to realize why my staff was so loyal and why I paid them so much while asking so little.

I told her all about their lives as well. I told her of my relationship with each of them and finally I told her one of the reasons I sent Enzo away. "When he thought of them as food first I was going to end him then and there. Everything in me wanted to act but he'd been through so much I couldn't kill him when he'd just tasted freedom. I kept thinking he's still young for a vampire. That he'd change with time. Grow more tempered and less impulsive. It's one of the reasons why I've given Damon repeated chances. I've lived so long I treat new turns as new births. They're kids in my eyes because they can't really control their emotions and actions until they learn how to. And even then it takes practice that comes with time. I experienced it when I turned but I had an advantage. I was already conditioned to save my rage for the battlefield. So I kept doing that and it worked for me."

She smiled. "My warrior."

I grinned and kissed her. "All yours."

I heard her grams coming up so I sat up. And waited with her. When Sheila got to the door she was about to speak when I held up a hand. "Don't worry. I've contacted the school she's out for the rest of the week to spend time with you and see you to the doctor. I'll be leaving in a bit. I have some things I truly do need to get done and you both need time together. My people will bring her the school work each night and turn it in for her on Friday."

She smiled. "Alright, so long as it doesn't mess with her grades."

I nodded. "I'll see that it doesn't."

Sheila headed downstairs and I turned to Bonnie. "I wasn't lying to her. It's time I left. I really do have urgent matters to attend to and you need to be there for her."

She bit her lip. "I need you here for me too."

I kissed her before telling her. "I'll come by every night and my people will keep me updated 24/7. If it's urgent or if you just want to talk, tell one of them and they'll give you a direct line to me."

She nodded and asked. "Where are you going?"

I sighed. "Remember all those witches and shamans I keep in contact with?"

Another nod. "They also charge up my talismans when they're running low on power. I have to make a trip to get them all charged up. Each witch has a totem they use to charge them with. Each totem uses my blood as an anchor so they don't go charging random talismans. I need to replenish them every so often and it's been two hundred years since I did so. I was kinda sidetracked and I didn't use them as much back then. Now it seems I'm using magic every day. I cant let them run out or the important talismans, the really powerful ones will be all I have to use and they're a royal pain in the ass to charge up."

She looked worried. "How much does it take? I can charge some."

I shook my head. "The big ones take a form of sacrifice and the smaller ones would drain you and leave you mentally drained to charge up. I won't put you in that position. It'll only take a couple of days. I'll use the ambient magic at wherever I'm at, at the time too teleport to you each night and every morning I'll head out by jet. It's what their there for."

She sighed and agreed. "I'll see you tonight for sure then?"

I nodded. "I'll arrive around ten. And wish me luck, the first place I'm going to was once described as the center of hell."

She furrowed her brows. "Who did that?"

I chuckled. "Me on my first visit."

She laughed for a minute before looking worried. I kissed her and left. On my way out I told Shiela my people would pick her up for each appointment and be there every step of the way. They were in constant contact with me as well.

My first stop was a place I'd been dreading to go. LA. Six hours later I gave them orders to refuel and head back. I headed to Lexi's first to cheer myself up. As soon as I walked through the door to my old penthouse sweet I was tackled by Lexi. "Damn, what did I do to earn a football tackle?"

Lexi snorted. "I thought you were Stefan."

I sighed. "In that case I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'm just stopping by before I head to San Francisco on foot."

She whistled. "I don't envy your feet."

I snorted. "It's a short run for me. I've got business in San Francisco and a small town south of here called Sunnydale. Then I've got to head back via teleportation for the night."

She shook her head. "You do like to live dangerously. Those are supernatural no no's for our kind."

I nodded. "Yeah but it doesn't effect me remember."

She looked me over and sighed. "What's wrong? What's bothering you so much?"

I shook my head. "Bonnie's grams is sick. She could be die any day now. I felt he feeble life force when she connected to my old grimoire. She doesn't have long and vampirism isn't an option. I'm flying in the best doctors in the world to treat her and I've offered them a hundred million to the one who helps her."

She whistled and shook her head. "Damn, now I wished I went to med school instead of becoming a psych flunky."

I nodded and said my goodbyes. An hour run and I was in San Francisco. I entered the localized time bubble and headed for my old friends house. When I walked inside I was greeted by three women and a trapped demon thing. "Am I in the wrong house or does Penny live here?"

They started chanting as spell and the demon thing blew up. I waited for an answer. The middle one waved her hands at me and I absorbed the magic she waved out. "Charming. Would you like to try again or tell me where Penny is?"

The oldest one tried something and I absorbed the tk magic. I sighed and turned to the youngest one. "Are you next or are you going to tell me where Penny Halliwell is and why newbie witches are attacking me in her home."

The oldest one finally spoke. "Penny Halliwell was our grams. She passed away a year ago."

I sat down gut punched. Another old friend was dead. After a few minutes I gathered myself and stood back up. "Where's your mother Patty then. She ought to recognize me at least. I did bounce her one my knee and teach her the first spell she ever learned."

The middle one spoke next. "She died over a decade ago."

I leaned on the wall and tried to come to grips with the changes yet again. "Who? Who killed them? I-I'll tare them apart!"

The magic I'd absorbed pulsed out of me and shook the house. My arm went through the wall shaking the house like an earthquake. When it stopped shaking the car alarms outside went off.

The middle girl yelled for some Leo. I turned to see a very scared looking man standing there. "You're not supposed to be here."

I sneered. "Piss off fairy boy before I rip off your wings and shove them somewhere very uncomfortable."

He backed up to the sisters and they crowded him with questions I ignored as I asked again. "Who killed Penny and Patty? Summon them here or tell me where they are and I'll go get them myself."

Leo shook his head. "Those beings were vanquished, killed off."

I snorted. "Then vanquish me and I'll find their souls to torture before I shred them back to the ether."

He looked terrified now. "It's not possible. There's no one in heaven or hell powerful enough to vanquish you. Even combined we don't come close. You absorb all magic and use it as your own."

The oldest one asked. "How's that possible?"

I snorted. "I was born like that. I am my twin sisters balance. Freya got the powerful magic and I got the opposite. I have no magic except for what I absorb. I spent a thousand years learning all about magic and war. In that I have no equal. Now since I can't kill their killers can you summon their spirits. I guarantee they'll answer this call cause if they don't I'll take feathers wings here and go visit them."

Leo backed away further. The youngest sister mumbled something and ran upstairs. She came back down with a bunch of candles and a book I remember very intimately. I walked over and ignored the group grabbing the book. "Hello old friend, remember me?"

I stroked the front cover and it started glowing a little. I snorted. "Relax old friend, no need to get excited, I'm not here to add to you. I stopped creating spells centuries ago."

The youngest one asked. "You know our book of shadows?"

I chuckled. "I helped make it. Damned thing took me and Malinda Warren ages to get right. I based the design off my grimoire. Just think about what you need and..."

The book opened to the spell to summon a spirit. "Tada! Still works. I've been all over and occasionally I stop by San Francisco to update it or visit the old and new generations. Down side to be immortal and I kill able is that everyone else isn't."

The youngest asked. "How did you become immortal if you don't mind me asking?"

I shrugged. "My witch mother was a bitch. She cast a spell and had my Viking father kill me. I came back as a vampire but since I was already a cursed child my nature was altered as well. I became what's called a Heretic the original heretic if you want to be specific. My siblings were turned as well. They made vampires like themselves but weaker over the years. I never understood the need to do so. I've never created another vampire and I don't know if my curse would pass to them either."

She nodded. "So, what are the perks?"

I chuckled. "Strength speed and power like never before. Immortality is ok I guess but that's about it."

The oldest sister asked . "What are the down sides?"

I grinned. "Good question. For one, loss of magic. Well unless you turn out like me. The constant loss as everyone you meet or will ever know passes away with time is the big one. And finally bloodlust though that's manageable."

Leo snorted from the corner. "Managed by drinking people dry!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me kid but I've never killed an innocent nor have I drank anyone dry except on the battlefield. In war all is fair. I've never drained a person dry outside battle. I may be a cursed being but I'm no monster. I may have threatened to pluck your wings but I assure you you'd survive."

I turned to the sisters. "Spell please, I'm getting bored of this city and if your grams were here she'd say that's bad. I tend to burn cities to the ground when I get to bored."

The oldest one asked. "Really?"

I smiled. "London twice."

Leo paled. "He's not joking."

I smiled all the same. "Spell please."

They chanted. "Hear these words,

Hear my cry,

Spirit from the other side,

Come to me,

I summon thee,

Cross now the great divide."

Patty showed up as a spirit and I smiled. "It's been awhile old friend."

She smiled. "Alex!"

I waved a hand and touched the the candles whispering an old they faded a little so I bit a finger and dripped blood onto each candle while chanting. When I finished I held out a hand for her. "Take my hand love. I'll show you the world."

She laughed and grabbed it and I pulled her over. As she passed the candles the flames froze and turned blue. When she was passed them she became corporeal. "There, much better."

The three new witches looked stunned. I chuckled and Penny swatted my chest. "Still up to your old tricks I see. How long do I have?"

I grinned. "As long as I'm in this house beings outside can't enter and those inside can't leave so theoretically eternity. But, I can't stay that long. A week at most before I need to leave. Maybe next time I'll have more time."

She kissed my cheek. "I remember you used to do a crazy mass lust spell that drove thousands of people to have sex to fuel your spells."

I chuckled. "Good times. I'm actually glad I spent Woodstock with you. That multiple linking spell with the sex magic had us strong enough to tare down gods. I know that snake one that you bitch slapped into next week was damn easy for you."

She smiled. "Apophis dear. And yeah he was a push over after we got going. Not any more I'm afraid though."

I sighed. "Good times still fade I guess."

She nodded. "Let's get you sorted first then I need to spend my time here teaching them as best I can. I can't imagine what would've happened if they'd attacked you or worse yet you get bored without me. So what will be a memory charm or a curse of some sort?"

I shook my head and tapped the book of shadows. It shined and turned into giant clear crystal. She looked at it that sighed. "Oh dear this could take a while. Add the blood. You girls touch the crystal and try and guide the ambient magic into it."

I took off my shirt and shoved my hand into my chest and grabbed my own heart I sliced it with a nail then pulled my bloody hand out and dripped the blood from the onto the crystal. It shines and turned red. "It's ready for your part."

I turned to feather boy. "Go grab me a towel birdie I don't feel like bleeding all over the nice floor."

The sisters looked disgusted but Patty wasn't bothered. She hadn't done it before but she knew how to. She guided them in getting it going. Once it started beating red I turned to the newbies. "You can stop now it'll continue on its own."

They stopped and true to my word the crystal kept going. I felt my Talismans start to recharge so I tapped the crystal twice and it turned into a book again. The middle one finally spoke. "So, what the hell was that?"

I chuckled. "That my dear was a totem used to charge talismans. Talismans are what witches use to focus extra power into spells. With my strongest one only one of you would be needed to do the power of three spells at full power. Unfortunately there really hard to make and a pain in the ass to recharge as you just saw. That'll keep them charging for another hundred years at least. Depends on how often I use them. I've gotta visit another one right after I leave here so I think I need a strong drink."

Patty snorted. "Don't be such a wuss we did more stressful spells than that when I was younger."

I chuckled. "And far more flexible."

The three sisters made their distaste vocal and Patty told them. "You should try him some time he's very well endowed and experienced in plenty of sex spells that would blow your mind."

I chuckled and shook my head. "I'm off the market Patty. I've finally met the one I'm willing to try it with."

She looked a little bitter but sighed. "I guess she must be one hell of a woman."

I nodded. "I found her where it began. She's Ayana's descendant as well. When she's ready I'll offer to tie our life forces together."

She looked surprised. "You've gotten the spell?"

I shook my head. "No but that bitch will act soon enough and when she does I'll do far worse than take her spells. I'm going to turn her into another Talisman."

Even patty looked terrified now. She asked. "Was it that bad?"

I nodded. "She's enslaved my twin and using her as a Talisman to leapfrog through time. One year awake one hundred asleep. I'm going to free my sister then turn her into an actual Talisman and if my mother interferes I'll do the same to her."

That she nodded to. I waved for her to see to her girls and closed my eyes to meditate. Several days passed and I started to feel the hunger again I turned to Patty and she agreed instantly.

While I was feeding feather brains came in a saw before running to the girls. I fed Patty a drop and healed her up. The girls and birdbrain came rushing in and to their surprise nothing was happening. Leo accused. "He was feeding on her."

I nodded. "I was, I needed blood she agreed and when I had enough I healed her to perfect health. Well as perfect as a physical spirit can be."

I turned to the girls. "I realize my feeding habits are not ideal and may disgust some but I assure you I would've drank from blood bags if I could bring any here. With the time lapse spell it would've spoilt in seconds. I tried to feed discreetly but I wasn't fortunate enough for that. If it helps I won't need to feed till the last day and if Patty is made unavailable I'll have to ask one of you to do so. I assure you it can be almost painless and even pleasurable."

The youngest looked ready to volunteer right now. I sat down and continued to meditate. Three more days passed and I stood back up. This time bird brain was following my every move. I sighed and headed to Patty. When he saw my direction he intercepted me so I turned and headed to the oldest one. I walked to her door and knocked when she answered I told her. "It seems your guardian pigeon is determined to interrupt me from feeding this last day. I came to you to see if you'd be kind enough let me feed. I don't need much and if you want I can give you an illusion to occupy your mind from it."

She frowned a little and asked. "What would you do if we all said no?"

I shrugged. "Break the spell early and go to a blood bank where I'd bribe a human for a bag of plasma. Seriously, it's just a simple donation."

She smiled at that before sighing. "Come in. "

I stepped inside and she waved a hand causing the door to shut and lock behind me. I asked. "What kind of illusion would you like to see?"

She smiled. "I remember a day with my dead ex. I'd like to see it."

I nodded. "The illusion will follow your intentions. If you want it pg it'll be so. If x-rated-"

She nodded. "I get it just do it."

I tapped he forehead and the illusion took hold she laid on the bed and I bit her wrist. Just as I finished she started moaning. I put a drop of blood in her mouth and left quietly. I locked the door behind me and threw up a sound barrier for her privacy to be nice.

I went and sat down to wait. About twenty minutes later a horrendous scream rocked the house. I got up to see what happened and found Leo on the floor next to Prue's doorway.

Guessing what happened I turned to walk away and the door flew open. Prue walked over Leo and headed my way. As soon as she was close enough she asked. " Please do it again. "

I shook my head. " That particular illusion only works once on the same person. That's why I save it for times like that. I locked your door and put up a sound barrier for your privacy. I could tell it changed just before I left. I'm truest sorry but it's one shot. That's why Patty wasn't in one. I've shown her all my illusions but the dangerous kind."

She looked disappointed and furious as well. I thought for a second then held up a hand I used a little magic and drew a line on the back of her hand. "It's a little stronger and can be interrupted easier but it'll also slightly affect your real body but it's the only safe option I have for the kind of illusion you want. Simple activation is to tap the back of your hand three times. It'll end when you achieved your final orgasm. Trust me you'll know when. If it's interrupted you'll be forced to finish yourself off till it's done. Like I said, volatile."

She blushed. "Thanks."

I shrugged. "I've lived a thousand years and I'm a master with sex magic. This is an off shoot so my best advice is to wait till the time on my spell is up before you retire for the night and have your fun. And a hint for this time, don't be interrupted. The drawback sucks."

She nodded. "Thanks again."

I snorted. "You helped me first, consider us even. Oh, and don't go using illusions like this again. It could get yourself killed."

I walked back to my spot and waited. When the time was up I sighed and stood up. "Its time Patty. Till next time."

She smiled. "Till next time."

I bent down and snuffed out the flame and the spell broke. I sighed one last time before turning to the sisters. "Prue, remember my words."

She nodded and I told all three of them. "If I come back next time and one of you Is dead there'll be literal hell to pay for whatever did it."

I waved one last time before blurring and running towards my next destination. I passed through the time barrier and went full speed towards sunnydale.

Two hours later and I was at the bubble. I stepped through ready for war. Instead the towns slightly deserted. I saw a witch running and a blonde Caroline wanna be chasing her.

I shrugged. "Can't find my totem if I don't step in."

I ran and punched the blonde with all I had. She went flying like a kite with its string cut. She hit a sign then fell to the ground and made a crater. The witch stopped running for a second to see what happened. "Who are you?"

I smiled. "Alex, immortal witch at your service. What is that blonde? I hit her with enough force to shatter titanium and it looked like only hurt her."

The witch smiled. "She's a hell goddess. I made her angry. It seems you actually hurt her."

I shrugged. "I can do that all day and if I touch her and she has magic I'll take it all from her and drain her dry. Goddess or not."

She looked both parts equally amazed and terrified by my words.

I stepped towards her and she backed up. I raised my hands. "Relax, I can turn it off. Your injured I figured I might as well heal you while I'm here."

She looked to her bleeding body as of just noticing it. I walked closer and my hand sent out a pulse of healing magic. She relaxed and my spell took hold on her. When it faded she didn't have a scratch on her. Unfortunately the same could be said for my downed opponent.

The hell goddess was getting up and she was mad. The witch told me to run so I grabbed her and ran a full speed to the nearest humans I could smell. Our figures blurred and came to at a small magic shop across town.

I set her down as I opened the door and she repeatedly said. "Whoah as if it helped."

I looked inside and smiled. "I know a watcher when I see one. The names Alex, but your little book calls me the immortal witch."

I had just dropped that bomb on him when the room exploded with questions. Mostly who and what's. After the witch followed me in several oh my god Willow's followed. I decided to start there. "I just arrived in town when a different dimension shall we say, and found what she later called a hell goddess chasing her so I got her out of that pickle and here we are."

The human actually said. "Thank you, were kinda worried when she decided to go after Glory."

I shrugged and noticed the witch I saved hugging what I could tell was another. I frowned when I heard her muttering like a loon. "What happened to the other witch?"

Willow spoke up. "Glory fed on her mind somehow."

I understood the events now. I walked over too them and Willow tensed again. I chuckled. "Relax, while I wouldn't call myself good, I wouldn't call myself evil by any stretch either."

The blonde that reeked of Magic's I hadn't smelled in a long time asked. "What would you call yourself then?"

I shrugged. "Im just a man, I'll be it a very old one, still a man all the same."

The watcher looked intrigued now, as I sat down next to the witches. I took Willow's hand and the loony witches at the same time. "I might know a few spells to reverse it. I can feel her mental barriers are almost non existent thoughts and memories are colliding creating what you see before you."

Willow looked hopeful and I shrugged. "It's not very nice magic and it'll take power to perform."

I turned to the watcher. "Do you have the slayer book with you?"

He looked surprised I knew of it. "Yes, yes its here somewhere."

I smiled. "Good, get it and I'll do you this one favor"

He looked perturbed by my words. "I've read about you. The book has several mentions and quite a few watcher diaries do as well."

I chuckled. "Were they good reads? Your people weren't exactly happy with me even when I gave them so much."

He looked agitated now. "They spoke of your repeated trists with slayers throughout the centuries."

I shrugged. "They were beautiful and stronger than most. I thought a warrior woman was kind of sexy. So sue me. Besides, I'm sure they didn't happen to mention those I slept with lasted the longest."

He snorted. "And died very bloody ends as well."

I sighed and noticed the others curious looks, so I explained. "I felt appreciative of them and I used a little sex magic to give them a magic shield of sorts. I'd warn them of abusing it or thinking themselves invincible, but in the end nearly half of them leapt into battle like that and while it lasted a good long time, it eventually failed. They died a warriors death, usually taking their enemies with them."

The blonde slayer looked interested but I shook my head. "Don't get any ideas. I'm spoken for now. I wouldn't even come to this place except to charge up my Talisman."

Willow looked up when I said that, clearly interested but I shook my head. "None to spare I'm afraid. There a pain in the ass to make and charge up. Hence I came here."

The watcher came out from the back with the book. "Good, you've still got my book. At least your group haven't lost all sense."

I took it from him and tapped the front cover. It visibly vibrates and started to shine. Smiling, I put my hand on it. "Open for me old friend."

The slayer asked. "What's he doing?"

The watcher shrugged. "That books been with the council nearly a millennium. I've never heard it doing this."

I smiled as my book turned into a giant crystal. "Alright, let's get you working again."

I took of my shirt and heard a couple appreciative female sounds. Ignoring that I shoved my hand into my chest and held my heart once again. Another slice and I pulled out my hand and laid it on the crystal. My body healed instantly and the crystal turned blood red.

I smiled as I heard Xander, as I overheard his name, say. "Yeash, I think I'm going to be sick."

I started gathering the ambient Magic's to it and I felt a dark taint in them. Luckily for me it won't matter. The crystal beat like a heart than it started to speed up from the excessive magic. "That should do it for several hundred more years."

I tapped it twice and it shifted into a book again. I handed it to the watcher. "I gifted this book to your order and told them to write down something important to be past down in it. Every few centuries for this dimension I came back and recharged it. It just so happened they wrote of the slayer and it followed said girls with their watchers. Don't worry, it'll give her an extra pep in her step now that it's charging. It won't be hell goddess level but it'll build up over time."

I turned to the slayer and winced. "You May feel the extra energy and strength sooner rather than later. If you don't burn it of fighting, I'd suggest lots of sex. Fair warning, it'll get stronger the more slayers out there activated. It was a bad habit of mine to experiment with sex magic when I made the book. All things considered I'm actually happy they didn't write about themselves."

I turned to the watcher. "Or you'd be the one with a sex addiction or channeling very potent magic every now and then."

I sighed and turned to the witches. "Your girl will feel better an hour or so after I leave, I'll go kick the hell goddesses ass and do the spell. Unless someone does something stupid like trying to steal the magic of my book, I'll probably not return in your lifetimes. So, this is goodbye."

I turned to the slayer. "I'll kick her ass but I won't kill her, might I suggest the magical hammer on the shelf? It should do the trick and help you burn of some steam."

I chuckled on my way out. "Fair warning, the beasties wont like the super slayer, we'll except the masochistic ones. Try not to sleep with those, it won't help you burn of the energy because you'll be absorbing more from them."

I disappeared in a blur to them and appeared across town where an angry goddess was making her displeasure known to her followers. "Sorry about this but I owe the witch and her slayer pals a favor. I'm sure you understand."

I started hitting her faster than she could react and as hard as before. It turned into a mini tornado of punches and screams. She wouldn't shut up so grabbed her arm and slammed her into the ground. Cement and pipes gave way as a crater formed with her at the center, shaking the entire town like a level five earthquake. I walked down to her beaten and bloody body and grabbed her head while humming the mind shredding spell. I sent all the mental energies she'd stolen back to their owners, well the living ones anyway. I gifted the rest to the witch that was injured, leaving the goddess to shift to what I presume is it's human side. There lay a guy bloody and bleeding in her place. I shrugged. "Not my problem."

I gathered the latent magic in the air and what I'd gathered from the hell goddess, to teleport out of the localized time bubble back to mystic falls. I reappeared outside my house. I headed inside and went to shower before heading out to Bonnie's house. By the time I left it was already nine thirty at night.

I got an update just before I left from Jason. "They looked Sheila over and are running every test known to man, and I mean that literally. I can't imagine she's to happy with it but their trying. Most results will be in between now and Friday. We farmed out resources for quicker results to hospitals and clinics around the world if they can't find an answer, there's little more we can do. She goes in tomorrow for more tests."

I nodded. "See to it she's well taken care of and if you find anyone intentionally fudging results-"

He nodded gravely. "I'll take care of it."

I sighed. "Until tomorrow my friend."

I ran to Bonnie's house to see her. I walked inside and found them both in the living room. "I here you've had a rough day and soon week."

Sheila smiled. "It wasn't so bad, other than the poking and prodding."

Bonnie was sad and looked worried so I sighed. "After tomorrow I've decided I'll postpone the trips. I got two done today anyway and I'll probably, Emily willing, not need more than tomorrow's trip. It's a big one that should link several of my totems from a distance."

Bonnie smiled a little and I sat beside her. "I met an old friend this time. Patty, she and her daughter Penny died while I was away. I had to do a spirit summoning just to see her."

Bonnie sighed. "The one you told me smacked what appeared to be a snake god?"

I chuckled. "It's more of a violent snake spirit that got strong by eating other spirits but yeah. She and her daughter were murdered by different evil spirits possessing things."

Bonnie shook her head. "It's a crazy world. I'm sorry you lost them."

I sighed. "Pitfalls of immortality I guess. It's happened before and it'll happen again."

I looked to Sheila. "Just not too soon ya here?"

She smiled. "I'll go when it's my time, and not a moment sooner. Never you mind about that. I've been teaching Bonnie here about herbalism and she's gotten most of it down. I need your advice on how to proceed because you know as well as I we can't be teaching her to many different things at once."

I nodded. "Start with healing then switch to hex's and curses. Once you got the basics down stick to control and channeling. The book will teach her the rest. It has everything from hoodoo and voodoo to necromancy and sacrificial magic and everything in between. The only spells I locked are that way because there too dangerous to be casually used. They'll unlock themselves when she's ready."

Sheila nodded. "Your own personal spells then."

I grinned. "Those and things like reviving the dead back to life. Stuff to dangerous to use till you have the wisdom and power to do so. I can't have her trying to revive you if you pass away on us."

Bonnie looked at me and asked."Why not?"

I sighed and Sheila spoke before I could. "There's a natural order to things, if you try to revive someone recently dead it'll cost a life. Usually the life of the witch dumb enough to try."

I nodded. "It's not just about power at that point. Witches serve as a balance in nature and to have one tip it like that can piss off higher beings on the other side. Not other witches but beings that were made from a concept like death. It would force their lives to be forfeit and often enough their loved ones wouldn't even come back."
