Escape to Safety (Edited)

(Lilly POV)

I awaken, feeling that my already heightened senses are at another level. I can hear the slow, almost completely dead heartbeats around me, all six of them. Then I can hear farther where steady heartbeats are heard. Inhaling. I smell that the six people around me, smell like the one that Slaughtered my tribe, in different ways. All six have a lingering smell of death and danger. While four smell like they are that monster of a Viking's flesh and blood. But the last two smell similar to my people. Then I caught my own scent, and I had the same smell of death and danger, but like the other two, I also smell like my father and the other wolves.

I then remember what happened, a man no older than 19, with the same forest green eyes as mine, slightly lighter skin, with dark brown hair. He saved me from the monster and convinced my people to run for their lives. With only a few words, like only a true alpha could. When given the chance to either save me or fight him, the man looked around and saw my father. I remember him looking at him with sadness, then he was picking me up and speeding away. next, I knew I was surrounded by blurry figures. And the man that saved me said.

"I know you don't know me, but I am your elder brother with my twin Niklaus.... Do you want to live little sister?"

Despite how unbelievable what he said was, I wasn't going to pass the chance of continuing to live. So, I looked at him and nodded. He brought a water skin to my lips and spoke.

"Drink it all little sister."

I was confused about how this would save me, but I didn't have another choice... As I finished, the surprisingly enough wine, I felt my life give out. I wanted to curse the spirits themselves, as I gave my last breath.

But now I am awake, I open my eyes and the first thing I see is a girl, my age, with golden blonde hair and bright blue eyes. On her left is a broad man with brown eyes and hair. To the right of her, had a skinnier vision of the man on the left. On my other side, I see yet another man with brown eyes and hair, but is in-between the ages of the first two. Next to him is a man with pearl-white skin, green-blue eyes, and dirty blonde hair. Right next to me is the man who saved me, who said he is my older brother with his twin. It was with that in mind I ask.

"Who....who are you people?"

"I am Erik. the dirty blonde, here is my younger twin brother. Next to him.... is our 2nd oldest brother his name is Elijah. On the other side of you from left to right are Finn our oldest sibling, Rebekah our youngest of Esther and Mikael's children, and Kol the youngest brother."

Erik said in an introduction to his siblings and a light glare to Elijah.

"Why did you call me little sister?"

I ask him with caution and curiosity.

"Well, you see, 19 years ago my mother had a run-in with your father. I don't know how or what exactly happened, nor do I want to know, but they slept together. In that experience, she was with.... with child. Two to be specific."

He points at himself and his twin Klaus who continues for him....

(Erik POV)

After letting my newest little sister know about how we grew up, and what we became. And why Mikael was slaughtering her people. She cried for a while before gasping in pain. I say.

"You need to feed now. What is your name?"

She looks confused, but answers.

"Lilly."

"Good. Elijah grab someone from the dock. Be discreet."

Klaus tells him, then looks at Lilly and says.

"Now Lilly, what we need you to do is feed until you are full. We have a long journey ahead of us and Mikael is chasing us. We can't stay in this land."

Elijah appears next to me with a man in his arms, he leans down and says.

"Trust us Lilly, we will protect you and each other always and forever."

The rest nod. I glare at Elijah and then at Lilly in suspicion of my 'brother'.

Lilly bites into the man's throat, while Elijah covers the mouth of the man, and Finn holds the man tight.

When she finished feeding, the man's body dropped. Lilly gasped coming back to herself. We all make our way to the ship and stow away on it.

It took us nine months to reach the coasts of France. In those nine months, we all bonded with Lilly. Her, Klaus, and I talking about life as a wolf, and all the customs that go with it, that she knew of. Kol and Lilly both found a friend in pranking whether the crew with a deadly one, or our siblings with a lighthearted one. Finn and Lilly were as close as can be. But outside of telling stories of our gods or the spirits, they didn't spend any time together. Then Rebekah, being the only other woman, they both fought like cats one day and best friends the next. Elijah was a different matter. They both got close, very close. While I told Lilly to stay away from Elijah, she didn't listen to me.

As the ship drifted closer to the shoreline, all 7 of us were the only ones seen on the deck. Besides me, Finn is the only one with real control over their bloodlust. Even with that, we all but slaughtered the ship's crew. I can't help but feel like this 2nd life truly has made a man of honor, into a monster, that is me.

We spent the rest of the year randomly running around France, with barely anything to feed on. Thank the gods that we had animals to feed on, even if it was disgusting. It wasn't till late 1002 A.D., that we came across a caravan of seven noble-looking people, led by a servant. I see Elijah and Lilly come up to where Klaus and I are. Followed by Kol, Finn, and Rebekah. Elijah asked.

"Are we going to attack brothers? Lilly, Kol, and Rebekah are getting hungry."

I glare at Elijah before turning to Klaus while saying.

"He is right brother, and those 3 aren't the only ones that are hungry."

Klaus nods and quickly looks to the cart he says.

"We each get one, and then we move on."

So, he didn't see the stableboy yet... I wonder if anyone but myself knows he is with those 7 humans. Regardless I nod, and we all rush towards the cart looking like 7 blurs.
