Chapter 1: Watching

It was a peaceful day. You were a 14 year old kid named Grayson, creating technology beyond your kind but keeping it secret. You were able to make a portal to a different dimensions, little did you know that making that portal was a mistake...or was it?

It was June 5th, 2020. You told your parents that if you weren't gonna be back home that you would probably be in another dimension. They trusted you and bought you the things needed for your survival if anything bad happened. They set guide lines etc.

"Yes I did it!" Grayson shouts.

"What did you do...whoa what is that" Aidan says before seeing the portal open before his very eyes.

"You know the drill right broski?" "Yes I do bro. If you don't come back then that means your trapped and you'll find a way back because you worked out every scenario and not to be worried" Aidan reply's annoyed.

"So what is this a portal too anyway?" Aidan says studying it and taking notes of the portal.

Grayson looks at Aidan and says "This right here is a portal to Skylands. Write down and remember that Skylands has floating islands etc like the photos show from art etc."

"So will our hours and days even weeks of research work? So they have cell towers etc sun, moon etc?" Aidan asks nervously "of course they do bro I made sure my phone can switch to any cell tower and produce it's own WiFi" Grayson said. Both of you and Aidan has packed all of the necessary tools for the journey (will pop up later in the book).

"Are you ready dude? I'm going in. This maybe the last time I see you man so say your good byes" Grayson says with tears in his eyes hugging his best friend. "Tell the squad is love you no homo' to the boys ok?" Grayson added. "I will man I'll see you again for sure." Aidan replayed nodding and saying go at the same time.

Grayson grabs his tool kit gas and even oil for the dirt bike he's bringing along. "Let's do this" said Grayson with Confidence in his voice, kick starting the bike it revs to life. Grayson put it down into first gear and speeds into the portal.
