Chapter 63: Pet Contract

The surroundings are covered with the cracklings of the firewood that's being flamed to make the room warm. The smoke that comes from the campfire disappears into the darkness. K is sitting on the ground, observing every single possible movement that might occur.

Staring straight into the unknown path. The bonfire might attract some monsters, and that's what she's being alert for. Monsters may suddenly appear out of nowhere with the intention of taking their lives.

Even though the bonfire is dangerous, they still need it to keep their bodies warm. Since they're on the low third floor of the dungeon, the coldness of the atmosphere can't be ignored.

"It's so quiet," whispered K.

K, who has nothing to do, also experiences boredom, and right now is one of those times. She sat gracefully and laid her hands on her lap, whistling smoothly to entertain herself. Her whistle has a beautiful tone and the perfect rhythm to make someone sleep peacefully.
