Part 2

Mark decided to temporarily stop being Batman for a bit in order to get some information while everybody thought he was dead after Deathstroke beat him, also since he needed to recover his wounds after breaking several bones. Jeff told Mark that there was no sign of activity from Bane and Mark's plan had likely worked. Mark decided he needed to go after Deathstroke since he had been a problem, but he couldn't do it alone. Mark asked Jeff if he would help him and defeat Deathstroke together, Jeff said he couldn't do it because he wasn't trained, but Mark offered to train Jeff, and then he agreed. Jeff then trained himself while Mark recovered from his injuries. Eventually, the two quickly began to train and spar with each other. in the process, Jeff kept learning more and more fighting skills, and grew in strength as well.

In Gotham Underground

Bane had been sitting on his desk, staring into space as he remembered how he grew in power. He remembered a boy who was raised in prison by a woman who tried to give him the best childhood that was possible in prison. One day, the boy fell from the second floor and received a concussion. The boy woke up in a coma and thought he had died, but instead, a giant man who looked like the definition of perfect walked out and held out his hand toward the boy. The man told this boy that he was in fact the boy in the future and that one day he would become the one above all. The strongest man in the world, somebody respected and feared by everybody. The boy had been excited and wanted this title badly, but the man told the boy that he could only achieve this if he defeated the symbol of fear. The boy then looked behind him and saw billions of bats form into a shadowy figure staring at him with demonic eyes that he used to strike fear in the boy. The man had disappeared, and the demonic bat figure rushed toward the boy. This scared him so badly that he managed to awake from a coma induced by the fall. Bane then stopped daydreaming when he heard Deathstroke walk into the room, he told Bane that he believes the deed is done since Batman had not been seen for almost a week. Bane was impressed and told Deathstroke that he transferred his price to the account he told Bane to send it to. Deathstroke was about to leave when he suddenly the two heard on the news that the Batman had returned after being gone for several weeks, stopping 3 drug dealings in one night. Bane had been aggravated with Deathstroke since he thought he had been lying, Deathstroke told Bane that he would stay and take care of it for free since he had now been determined to kill Batman with a burning passion, Bane then agreed since he just wanted to eradicate this new Batman. Deathstroke had never messed up with a victim and always got his kill, but this development has excited him and therefore he was willing to not accept payment, with the only price being Deathstroke's enjoyment in killing somebody who can survive his assault.

A Day Later(Now At Night)

Two criminals had been holding a woman against a wall in an alleyway, they told her to give them her purse which she did. The woman asked them to let her go now that she did what they asked, but it turns out the criminals had other plans for her as they began to laugh. They began to try and kiss the woman, but just before they could, the two were pulled off her by a grappling hook. The criminals got up and held their guns toward the top of the building, one criminal yelled "SHOW YOURSELF!" Only for a Batarang to knock both guns out of their hands, then return back in the darkness. A strange vigilante wearing an all-white outfit with a hood and white mask grappled down and held out his fists for a fight. The criminals tried to fight the vigilante and beat him in combat to no avail. They tried to run down the other side of the alley and escape, only for Mark to Grapple down and stop them. The criminals were both knocked out and cuffed to a pipe in the alleyway, the vigilante handed the woman her purse and she thanked him, only for him and Mark to be gone before they could say "You're welcome." The vigilante and Mark walked into the Batcave and the two removed their masks, only for the vigilante to be revealed to be Jeff. Mark congratulated Jeff on his progress and Jeff thanked him. Mark then thought that since Batman was his codename, he should give one to Jeff. Then it hit Mark, he told Jeff that he should be known as the White Knight and Jeff thought Mark was racist since Jeff was black, but Mark then explained that since people always called Batman the Dark Knight there should be another half of him known as the White Knight. Jeff liked the idea of the name and took it, but still thought it was kind of racist. Mark told Jeff his plan had been to attract Deathstroke to them and they would both take him on together. He knew Deathstroke was still in Gotham because the job was not yet done, so Mark took advantage of this and began to draw him in.

The next day Mark went to his day job with Jeff, it started as a normal day until Mark's break time. During his break, Mark saw a message on the television screen which had obviously been done by Bane. The message said, "NEW BATMAN, THIS MESSAGE GOES OUT TO YOU AND GOTHAM PD. I HAVE KIDNAPPED 5 VERY POWERFUL PEOPLE THAT HAVE A HIGH AMOUNT OF MONEY IN THEIR BANK ACCOUNTS, I AM GOING TO NEED AN OFFICER TO FIND OUT THOSE 5 BANK ACCOUNT NUMBERS AND ONCE YOU DO, YOU WILL TAKE 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS FROM EACH ACCOUNT AND HAVE BATMAN BRING THE MONEY TO MY TOP MAN PERSONALLY. IF YOU DO NOT MEET MY EXPECTATIONS BY TOMORROW MORNING THEN I WILL BREAK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THE HOSTAGES WITH MY BARE FISTS, IF YOU TRY TO SAVE THEM I WILL DO THE SAME, IF YOU ATTACK MY MEN THEN I WILL DO THE SAME, AND IF YOU DO NOT DELIVER THE MONEY TO MY TOP GUY AT GOTHAM HALL PERSONALLY, I WILL DO THE SAME! THANK YOU, NOW ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR DAYS GOTHAM, BECAUSE SOON IT WILL BE IN THE HANDS OF ME!" Mark knew it was a trap since Bane wanted to lure Batman in so Deathstroke could finish the job and make sure he does, thus Mark needed a plan.

After Work

Commissioner Gordon walked up to the roof of Gotham PD, he never thought he would have to do it after 5 years, but he pulled the switch to the Bat-signal and hoped for the best. After 10 minutes, Gordon wondered if he was even coming, only for Mark to appear right behind him when he was about to leave. Gordon was not surprised since the old Batman did that, he told the new Batman that as the commissioner of this city he is grateful for him being the next Batman and honoring the name, Mark thanks him and tells Gordon that they need to think of a plan to save the hostages and their money since they are sponsors of Gotham PD protection. Gordon tells Mark that they have found the bank accounts of each hostage and are ready to take the money, but they want to do it another way if possible. Mark tells Gordon about Deathstroke and then he tells Mark the information they have on Deathstroke. It turns out his name is Slade Wilson, he is a veteran of the military that went on special missions for his unique abilities given to him by a special drug that was made to resist truth serum known as the Mirakuru. He has killed thousands of targets and has never been caught. It also turns out he has a son named Jericho, who was taken from him as a kid and hidden from him by the government at the request of his ex-wife. Mark makes the suggestion that they should give him access to see his son if he comes quietly, Gordon denies this and tells Mark that Slade's ex-wife told the government to never let him see Jericho even in these specific situations. Mark then kept thinking, until he thought of a new plan, which he told Gordon.

Mark told Jeff to stay at Gotham PD and be his guy on the inside until he needs his help, Mark waited in front of Gotham Hall and looked at the building from around. There had been cameras everywhere and no doubt Bane probably was watching them to make sure Mark doesn't come and save the day, what he needed was someone who could take out the Cameras too quick for Bane to know what was happening, then it hit him. Mark pressed a special button on his wrist that looked like the Superman logo, Mark didn't hear anything but within seconds a man with a dark blue suit, red outerwear, a black belt, a bright red cape, and a red and black Superman logo had appeared. He wondered who Mark was and how he was able to know that it was the Superman alert watch, he then asked Mark to which he responded by saying that the original Batman implemented it into this suit just in case Superman was needed. Superman then told Mark that Bruce never used it and also said that Superman was untrustworthy to his face. Mark told Superman that it was different since he is the new Batman and that he hopes to work more with him. Superman smiles and they shake hands. Mark then asks Superman for his help with Bane, Superman agrees. Superman walks out in front of Gotham Hall and looks at the camera, he yells that he was called by Gotham to make a negotiation with Bane, the guards on the outside watch Superman on the monitors, along with Bane. Mark takes his chance since the guards and most likely Bane are distracted, he then grapples on Gotham hall and goes to a spot he cannot be seen in. Mark then used his explosive gel to blow up the wall and get into the building. The explosion was heard by the guards, so they go to investigate, only to find a blown up wall on the side of the building. Mark crawled on the ceiling and stayed out of sight, he noticed there were guards in front of the Mayor's room which is most likely where the hostages were. Mark pulled out a special device that was created by Brother Eye recently, it had been a device that jammed electrical signals on pretty much anything. Mark used the device and disabled all the guards' radios. Mark took this advantage and began to knock out every single guard with none escaping or alerting Bane. With the guards down, Mark used the explosive gel again on the Mayor's office door, finding every hostage tied up. Mark was about to release them when he noticed that the hostages were gesturing toward something, only for Mark to get kicked into a wall, the kick had been from Deathstroke. Deathstroke revealed this had been his and Bane's plan all along and that he knew Mark could get through his defenses with no problem, he had told Mark that he wanted to beat him head-on without the help of guns and gadgets. Mark told Brother Eye to turn off his gadgets including his shields until he told him to turn them on later, Brother Eye did so, Mark also removed his utility belt and threw it away. The two began to fight, at first seeming like they were evenly matched. They kept fighting until Deathstroke kicked Mark against the wall again, he was about to get up when Deathstroke grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the ground. Deathstroke tells Mark that he has won and now Mark dies, Mark then asks if this is what Jericho wants and if he is happy to do what he is doing, only for Slade to say that he doesn't care what Jericho wants and only cares about what he wants. Slade was about to kill Mark when Jeff kicked him away. Deathstroke got up in anger and took out his swords, he was happy the fight wasn't over and began to fight against the two of them. It turns out that when Mark turned off the systems he also gave Jeff a secret message only he understood to go help him. Because of this, Mark was able to get the help he needed. Mark took out two rods that were like Nightwings and began to fight Slade with them. The fight went on to the point where it reached the roof of Gotham Hall, and the two eventually knocked Slade down. He was about to get up, only for Mark to throw a Batarang at his eye, knocking him down once again. Slade noticed his eye was gone and got up, he said that he never met someone as worthy of a foe as Mark was and that he is going to enjoy ripping him to pieces. Slade began to run full speed toward Mark and Jeff when all of a sudden a gunshot was heard, Slade stopped in place and felt the back of his head only for blood to be on his fingers, Slade fell to the ground lifeless as blood spewed everywhere from his head. Bane stood behind Slade, pointing a gun straight where he had been before he fell, wearing a mask that covered his entire face with a tube sticking in the back of it, along with other tubes in his arms. Mark and Jeff had been shocked, Bane had actually shown up to this event and he clearly wasn't just there to kill Slade. Bane told Mark that he knew Slade would fail, he also told him that Batman is dead and he should be too. Mark told Bane that as long as Bane was not in a prison cell, then Batman will keep stepping in his way. Bane didn't say anything at first and then, "I admire your persistence, it is honorable, but it ends here…" Bane pulled the trigger and fired at Mark 4 times, knocking him back and off the Gotham Hall building. Jeff realized that he didn't turn his suit back on and never received the bulletproof shields that protected him, coming to the realization that he couldn't come back from this one. Jeff charged at Bane, only to be kicked off the building by his immense strength, and fell right next to Mark. Superman had already left since he had thought that he had done his job, so there had been no backup this time. Bane walked to the edge of the building, he then took out a camera and started filming himself. "Gotham City! You thought this man was your savior? Your sign of vengeance and justice? Better than the old Batman? What a mistake. I have officially defeated my inner demons, I will bring power to those who have none, and take this city! Not for me but for the people who are walking on and disrespected!" Every one of Bane's men cheered as he said that speech. "Oh, and for those of you who have a tiny bit of hope left." Bane took out what looked to be a timer bomb from his pocket, he set the timer for 20 seconds and dropped it on top of Mark and Jeff. Just before the bomb hit the ground, Jeff pressed Mark's earpiece and his suit began to glow light blue. The timer then went from 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and exploded.
