chapter 26 (short story)

the missing kids cause a nationwide manhunt, and some guy who had nothing to do with it had taken the fall.

that guy although he was selected at random by Jay. however, the guy was still a criminal so it checks out.

he was wanted for stealing a pencil in the 5th grade, and Jay thought he would be the best person to carry out this job.

now of course he wasn't going to get anything out of the deal, because if he didn't then Jay would have to get another person to do it.

so he now had a life sentence for the crimes he didn't commit, but Jay wasn't done with her punishment yet.

no... after all Athena was supposed to go to nexus, not Knoxville.

now she had to fix the mistakes of a certain god that is in control of teleportation.

"canon fodder come to my office now," I said, and almost immediately a nervous-looking dude appeared in my office.

"m.. my lady, did I do something wrong," he stuttered.

"the last group you transported went to the wrong world, and those kids I WANTED to go to nexus," I said emphasizing that I wanted to send them there.

"my ... my lady it wasn't my fault. I-," he didn't get to say a word as his head exploded.

"find me, someone who can do his job probably," I said as Micheal bowed and he teleported away.

------meanwhile-------

"The plans are in place my lord," a voice could be heard.

"Soon my plan to rule the Cosmos will come into effect. I have been planning this for over 20 millennia, and nothing will stop me," maniacal laughter was heard.

well unknown to him, a certain person was spying on him... well two people, but one was omnipresent and the other was a mortal who found herself lost.

"you should send the homunculus to the necromancer. once we get her blood, and her body we will be set for my resurrection," the man said.

Athena woke up with a start and then breathed heavily. that dream just confirmed why the church needed her blood.

to complete the resurrection of whoever that was, and all I knew was that person was extremely powerful.

how powerful? I didn't know but our fight was definitely going to cause major losses.

I'm pretty sure that whoever that was was either the final boss or one of the final bosses.

...oh how wrong she was.
