47 Chapter (blood and murder mentioned)

As I sat there waiting for my food someone put down my lunch and handed me my drinks. I thanked the guy and gave him a tip of thanks before going back to enjoying my meal and drink. When i finished eating i bid goodbye to the owner of the cafe and started walking to my horse. I grabbed the bags of stuff and mounted my horse. Then we headed back home. Once i had arrived, my horse was taken to the stables and i went inside the castle holding the bags. Our maids greeted me and i greeted them back heading to Eilliana. When i entered the bedroom with the bags i didn't see Eliana. I placed the bags down and looked for her everywhere in the bedroom and bathroom. But nothing. I started to get worried, so i went out of the room and asked if the guards had seen her. They nodded and told me that she went to the library. I sighed in relief and went there. Once i went in i couldn't believe my eyes. She sat on the couch rolled up in a thick blanket, with a book in her hands that barely were sticking out. My heart melted at the sight. I went to her and picked her up and cuddled her while rubbing circles on her back. She hummed happily nuzzled her face into me and sighed contently. As much as I would like this moment to last forever, my love must rest. So i took the book away from her and read her the chapter. As i did she slowly fell asleep in my arms. i carried her to our bed and tucked her in comfortably and lovingly. After laying my head next to hers i fell asleep. The next few days passed like normal. We spend most of our time with each other playing or reading together and laughing. The doctor came to check on her every day. I want to make sure that they are healthy. The doctor reassured me every time that she and our baby were fine. One morning a guard ran into our room scaring the soul out of Elliana and mine. I looked at the guard who is already apologizing to us. 'What is so important that you needed to storm in?' I asked him. 'Someone broke into the palace. There were blood stains all across the walls.' He said. My blood went cold, and I felt my whole body turn ice cold and my mind began to race. I stood up, and put my clothes on and my armor. I screamed for the guards to guard Elliana. Many came and surrounded our bedroom. I looked back at Eillana who is scared, I smiled at her and kissed her head. 'I will be back my love, I promise.' I told her before going with the guard who told me.

Elliana POV

Kevin went out with the guards...I'm inside of our bedroom with other guards...I'm scared....what if he won't come back this time?? Come on Elliana! He will be back... I thought to myself. I rubbed my belly softly as tears started to form in my eyes. I don't know what to do or how I can help. I'm staring at the door waiting for Kevin to come back. I went to our bathroom, I locked the door and I turned the shower on. I got out of my pj went into the shower and sat down on the floor. I got out after a long shower and turned off the water. I dried myself, put some clothes on, and left our bathroom. I went to the door but i got stopped by the guards. 'It's for your own good My queen.' The guard said. I sighed and sat down on the bed.

Kevin POV

Me and other guards went to check the break-in out. Indeed... there's some blood on the walls. We went further and we saw that a few guards were killed. I looked around to see for more. 'You guys...go and check out the rest of the palace...the rest are still in the garden...take any guards you find.' I ordered. Everyone nodded and ran off to their destination. I followed them and looked around the rooms...nothing. I kept checking every single room and hallway. When i checked the library i saw blood all over the floor. I ran to the door and kicked it open...and there was another guard dead in front of me. I turned around, i felt pain in the back of my neck and my vision went black.
