Chapter 46: Sanctuary (9)

Chapter 46: Sanctuary (9)

~Third POV~

*VOOOOM*

Both Mash and Garfiel pincer attacked Elsa from both sides forcing the Bowel Hunter to block their intending attacks with her weapons. Twirling her black and white blades to confront both at once.

*KLANK*

*SHINNG*

Blocking Garfiel's shields, and Mash's Life Sword Zeam Elsa managed to block them perfectly. Spinning around she gave a sharp roundhouse kick to Garfiel with one of her legs and used her White Blade using her momentum to cut through Mash's body.

*Bam*

Slamming Garfiel was successful managing to push him back. Elsa twirled her White Blade aiming for Mash's stomach as he grinned confidently causing the Bowel Hunter to frown, however, her frown soon turned into shock.

Elsa now momentarily stuck by the [Unseen Hands] stopped her in place. The shadowy figures phased through her body making contact with her bone and muscle tendons locking them in place.

The Bowel Hunter was confused about how she couldn't move unable to see the shadowy appendages forcing her in place with a stunned expression questioning him, "Huh? How can I not move –"

*SPLAT*

That was as much as Elsa could say as the [Unseen Hands] began to crush her body. A loud splat sound could be heard as Elsa's body was crushed by the [Unseen Hands] maiming her body.

But not before disarming her of her White Blade and Black Blade as Mash grabbed them putting his Life Sword Zeam away getting a good feel for her weapons, "Hmm… have to say these are made well done. I think I'm going to keep them."

Garfiel soon returned to the scene as both boys kept their eyes on the mangled form of Elsa's body soon beginning to stand up recovering from her wounds.

Garfiel clicked his teeth, annoyed that Elsa wasn't dying, making him frown at the scene before him, "Tch. I knew Vampires are hard to kill but her healing is fucking ridiculous!! How are we gonna ice this bitch!!"

Pondering the question as Elsa begins to recover Mash offered an alternative extending his arm outward, "I don't know? Magic her to death? [Minya]."

*Shiiii*

*PEW*

Shards of stakes of crystalized mana frozen in time shot out towards Elsa attempting to recover. Witnessing the attack, she attempted to move out of the way only for Mash to speak his next spell, "Right better keep you in place, Bowel Hunter… [Vita]."

*WHOOMP*

Suddenly everything around Elsa began to fall hard forming a small crater. Mash cast the [Vita] spell a [Yin Magic] spell that allows the user to cast this spell to amplify the effects of gravity, making an object heavier.

Crushing under the weight of the spell Elsa was forcibly struck with the [Minya] spell. Upon contact the spell effect to freeze the target's time came into effect as her body and blood began to crystalize in stopped time.

Eventually, all her body became shards stuck in time with Garfiel asking the obvious keeping his guard up, "So then Bossman… did we kill that bitch?"

Considering Mash narrowed his eyes both their eyes viewed Elsa began to regenerate from the shards completely annoyed clicking his tongue, "Tch. Nope. Seriously this girl is hard to kill like a cockroach. I mean how the heck does anyone fucking recover from being stuck in time like this!"

Gesturing his hands to the regenerating Elsa annoyed Garfiel shrugged stating the obvious rolling his eyes, "Clearly her dumbass… got any more bright ideas to kill this psycho bitch wise guy?"

Mash curtly nodded his head agreeing to point his hand towards the regenerating flesh of Elsa's body, "Yeah… I did hear fire is the world's best purifier."

Garfiel questions Mash's next actions as he pauses once listening to his question raising an eyebrow at him, "And you plan to start a fire. Inside a mansion?"

Hearing the question Mash lowered his arm realizing what he was about to do blinking a bit embarrassed of his actions bashfully replying rubbing the back of his head, "Whoops? That's a very valid point Garfiel. I almost set the place on fire by accident. Let's take her outside. [Murak]."

Changing the gravity of the pieces by the [Murak] spell Mash opened the nearby window. With a swift kick generating wind the pieces of Elsa were all thrown outside with him muttering pointing his finger at the remains, "[Goa]."

*Brrrr*

Manifesting a blaze of fire burning the remains of Elsa for good into ash Garfiel smiles seeing their job is done bearing a grin, "Now I can see we took out that psycho bitch for good. Man, talk about this being a good way to end this fight…"

But soon Garfiel frowns as Mash notices his frown before asking the obvious surprising him by his words, "If you still feel shackled by your past. Why not speak to Emilia about facing it now? The Trials won't be open till later tonight anyway this might be your last chance to face them."

Garfiel lowers his head as they both begin to move with Mash providing him a piece of information that he thinks critically as he waves his hand, "Take a good look Garf. The wall you're so afraid of doesn't exist. Don't just give up on yourself whenever you think 'I wanna do it! I wanna change!' That's where your starting line is! When you decide to lift your head and walk again, who has the right to stop you, for any reason? Isn't that right Garf?"

Garfiel merely clicks his teeth listening to Mash's words. But a glint of doubt could be seen in his eyes considering the idea…

Hmm… I have to say learning these skills was handy this time. Guess I must thank Beatrice for recommending me to learn these spells and Emilia for the [Goa] spell for that brief amount of time.

[Murak] especially since it could be handy in a jam. Shitty Mana consumption but incredibly handy for surprising people or targets.

The same for [Vita] against large crowds of people. I don't need to lock into one target but a majority of them.

And thankfully for this encounter, I managed to grind a few levels dealing with the Demon Beast. Hopefully my mob spawner – ahem! I mean Meili is kept safe within the dungeons of the Mansion for the time being.

I left a note for Petra and Frederica to know once things have been over with. And the slave collar that I have around her neck will disable her Divine Protection courtesy of Beatrice enchanting it keeping her tame.

The idea is disgusting but the alternative is having her dead. And I'm in no hurry to kill a little girl or kid for that matter. That and she could be valuable later down the line.

But most importantly I gained an increase in my levels and my skills. Those are what's important for my growth.

Status.

----

I could only grin mentally viewing my stats. 50 bonus stat points saved, and I already have a feeling to place these stats.

My LUCK for one. Boosting it will greatly improve my chances even if at all a little would help me survive. But for now, that idea is going to be saved. Shaking my head I'm currently returning to the Sanctuary from our fight against the assassins.

When we finally appeared using my Gamer Ring to cut time. Beatrice gave me troubling news as she used our bond of [Telepathy] to give me the dire situation, 'Mash-san the Great Rabbit is soon approaching Sanctuary. It seems like they're attracted to not only Roswaal but also your Meteor you have around your finger I suppose.'

Ah… that makes a bit of sense. Considering Demon Beast are drawn towards Mana my Gamer Ring must be an all-you-can-eat buffet for them. Or at the very least when I'm using it, I suppose.

I pretty much have been using my Gamer Ring only when I need to not overuse it. I suppose I should be lucky I hadn't otherwise I would've had my ass filled with Demon Beast coming over me.

Although I'm still surprised that Roswaal managed to call the Great Rabbit this early... unless he didn't... no he would use the Sanctuary Core to increase the Mana within the area. With Demi-humans having more Mana in them it will surely attract them. Shit...

Talk about some bad luck. Proceeding inside the door using my [Eyes of Mana] I was greeted by a hug from Rem patting her head as she worried for me, "Mash-sama! You are victorious against the Bowel Hunter! Rem is very happy you are safe!"

I patted the Oni's head smiling fondly with Garfiel following behind with the rest of the gang waiting for our return declaring the good news, "Everyone! Garfiel and I have defeated and eliminated the Bowel Hunter for good! And we have proof of that here!"

Showing off my phone I made sure to video record our fight against Elsa showing them our battle and determination with Garf puffing his chest out proudly, "Heh! Bet I impressed you'd Ram! This Garf won't go down swinging and killed off a frik'n Vampire to boot! Ya proud of me!"

She merely nodded with a curt response causing poor Garf to stiff at her ruthless response with a smile, "It was you merely playing as bait. But Ram compliments you did a wonderful job meat shield."

Garfiel merely clicked his teeth annoyed muttering but with a grin on his face, "Tch. Figure she'd compliment me instead of insulting me… but I'll take any win I can get from her."

Ahh… a tsundere Garf-san.

Letting go of the hug Emilia soon came forward grasping my hand and smiling fondly at my return sighing a breath of relief, "Mash-san… I'm glad you came out of the confrontation safely… And now… Now I'll do my part to save everyone from the village and break the barrier."

Shit… She looks so determined too as I flinched. Emilia noticed this tilting her head confused as I got everyone's attention to the change of plans in a serious tone, "Sigh… ok now is a good time I suppose. I'm afraid I can't allow you to the trials today or tomorrow for that matter."

Emilia hearing this opened her eyes in shock before going to ask why. Garfiel also reacted looking at me confused as I said, "Hold on now. Let me explain why."

Raising my hand to silence Emilia as she did so. Garifel frowns soon asking me despite our fight questions confused, "Explain what? That y'want t'take them instead?"

Shaking my head and crossing my arms I explained to them dropping a verbal bomb and silencing everyone in the room with my words, "Never. I trust Emilia to handle it but the issue I need to address everyone is one what Beatrice told me. It's a rabbit problem. And said infestation is called The Great Rabbit coming to Sanctuary."
