Life ......or Not?

After the Change on the full moon, the families would sleep that day and the night following. The change took a toll on their bodies and minds. Waking up the next morning Ashers mom Theresa went to check on her son, but he wasn't on the property. Theresa quickly went and got her husband, Ashers dad, and the other children they had. Ashers not here she shouted. I can't find him anywhere.

Ashers dad, Tom, quickly grabbed his phone and called all of their family. Tom told them all what was going on and they decided to quickly gather everyone to search.

"The boy probably just wandered away being upset that he didn't change and all" Jeremy, Tom's uncle, said. "Y'all search the far ends of all of the properties and we'll head into town and see if he headed that way."

They began searching for Asher until eventually they came back at nightfall.

Grandpa Joe was rocking on the porch as they all came back.

"It ain't no loss now really" grandpa said, "He didn't change, he's not really one of us. I'm sittin here thinkin that maybe he ain't your son Tom."

Grandpa is the oldest of the pack and therefore he commanded the most respect, but Tom still got mad. Tom began shouting and cussing at Grandpa, but his father and uncle's all grabbed him and drug him away. "Shut up boy", Tom's dad Jacob shouted. "You respect Grandpa, I don't care what he says. He leads this pack, you will give him all of your respect"

Tom was fuming, but found his level and walked away quietly. Tom knew he couldn't take his father and uncle's on and didn't want to be taught the lesson unruly and disrespectful wolves got taught.

As they came back around they saw their wives just standing there, tears in their eyes.

"What's going on?" they asked, but they didn't need an answer. They looked to the left at the front porch and saw Grandpa Joe's limbless body with only half a head.
