The Other Side

When I awoke I grabbed my keys and headed to the apartment complex that I used to live at to talk to some of the people that I used to live near. I walked up to my old apartment which was still burned to a crisp even after all these months. I looked inside to see that around a couple of the outlets it looked like the fire had acted diffrent like something was poured there to start the fire maybe that is why the insurance company said I didn't deserve any money. I walk to the next apartment to find that there was still someone living there. I knock on the door and wait a little while before it opened. The guy asks can I help you? I reply yes the guy that used to live next door recently escaped so we are recanvassing the area around his old apartment because it seems like the day his apartment burned down was the day he snapped. Oh you want to talk about John it is terrible what he did I heard all about it on the news you can never know who you live next to can you? I chuckle and say yeah did he act weird on the day that his place caught fire or did you see anyone who you didn't recognize around. He stairs at me for a second before saying why are you asking if there was anyone strange around it was him that killed the insurance agents right? I reply yes it was but he seemed to have suffered a mental break down and he may be after them so if we find him then we could catch him. Oh if thats the case now that you mention it there was someone who was offering cable going door to door the day of the fire. And that was odd? well I have his card because he stopped by my apartment but my upstairs neighbor said that she never got a visit from him. I ask can I see the card? Sure let me grab it. After a couple moments he came back holding a card with the name Matt William, Here this is it. Do you mind if I take this? No I already have cable so I don't need it. Well thank you and you have a good day and if he tries to contact you please give the cops a call immediately. As the resident closes the door he says don't worry if that nut comes anywhere near me I will be calling them immediately. I turn and walk back down the hall way towards the door. only to see cops outside the apartment building so I dart through my old apartment to the fire escape. I quickly get down the fire escape to street level and start my block long walk back to my truck. Once I reach my truck I decide to head back to my motel room to try and find information on this Matt William only to find nothing as if Matt never existed. A few hours after I got back there is a knock at the door so I get up and look through the peep hole but there was no one outside. I look through the curtains just to make sure it wasn't a trap but still no one was there. I open the door to look around a little more. When I take my first step outside I hear the crinkling of paper beneath my foot so I lift my foot and check to see a piece of paper. I lean over pick up the paper and quickly retreat back into my room. I open it up only for my heart to stop. The note reads as follows, We are very disappointed in your refusal of our gift at the house where you killed that lovely couple. John if you wish for us to not take this anger out on your precious Sara then you will do as we say, and we know what you are thinking yes we know about Sara your friend who hasn't left your side since your first murder. Follow these instructions and she will be safe you have our word. We want you to get in a vehicle and travel across the united states up to Idaho coordinates
