Entry 3 - Puppet Strings

Two years, I still find it hard to believe I was in a coma for two years. But then, it felt like I spent uncountable years suffering endless torture in the underworld. Looking at the ceiling in the ward , I couldn't help but remember the boundless sky painted in golden light. "I really wish I was in heaven right now!" I muttered softly already tired of the hospital reeking from the aura of death.

"Drip! Drip! It seems the dark clouds can't hold it in again!" I said feeling a sense of familiarity from the dark clouds. It was just like me, once full of pain and grievances it will unwillingly let it out. "Sniff! Sniff!" And just like that tears began to fall down my cheeks unwillingly, "why did He send me back?" I started questioning in my heart, remembering the looks in the eyes of everyone.

Totally unwilling with no choice, my eyes close shut on their own leaving me to find solace in the darkness of my mind. "Uncle George! No wait..." I called out in confusion before calming down to access the situation, neither uncle George nor the lady in white could see me. They were discussing for a moment before exchanging something I could not see from the position I stood at, "poison!"

I woke up suddenly with a sense of foreboding pressing against my heart, "poison!" Looking around my room I couldn't understand what it meant, "creak!" Looking up I gasped softly, a lady in white pushing a trolley walks into my ward. She looked exactly like the lady I saw with uncle George, "poison!" I heard again with the sense of foreboding growing stronger.

"Hey!" The lady looks visibly shocked to see me awake as she eyed me warily, "everything's fine, go to bed" she says in attempt to get me to sleep but I kept looking at her suspiciously not letting my guard down in the slightest. "Poison!" I blurted out leaving the woman in white stunned for a moment. Grabbing a syringe off the trolley, the woman in white walked towards me. "Look you have to calm down, I understand you must be feeling confused right back.."

The sense of foreboding grew stronger with each step the woman took towards me, I glared at the syringe in her hands feeling choked up in fear. "Step back!" I glared at her icily, my body had been down for two years and I still couldn't move freely. "Father help me!" I prayed from my heart feeling completely helpless, suddenly everything goes still before coming to a halt. I could see the specks of dust falling down softly and the woman's frozen face.

Squinting slightly the sight before me changes like a curtain been pulled back forcibly, I could see strings connected from the head of the woman into the void. The strings trembled slightly, it seemed as if codes were been transmitted and the woman's actions were the interpretation of those codes. I glared at where the strings connected into the void, I wanted to see the puppeteer behind the strings. "Lord?" I whispered softly not knowing what to do.

"Hehehehe!" I heard a malevolent laughter coming from the point where the strings disappear into the void, "Tony Storm! You can't escape death today." The puppeteer declares again with mirth laced in its voice. I closed my eyes letting all the tension out as I started declaring, "I know who I am!" I began softly, "I am the child of God! The child of a king is a king!" Immediately the void began to quake with the strings trembling violently, "as a child of the king I command you to bow!"

Instantly the strings snapped and the void where they disappeared into collapsed like glass crashing against the floor. Everything returned back to normal, I couldn't see the puppeteer behind the strings. "Must have fled!" I muttered with regrets as I really wished to see who my attacker was. "Oh my gosh, I'm sorry!" The woman in white began to plead as the syringe crashed onto the cold ground, "please, I don't know what came over me," She begged with tears streaming down her face.

I was shocked for a moment not imagining how I would tide through this disaster, looking at her closely I couldn't sort my feelings out. "Nurse Amanda.....!" The door opens startling the both of us as a man in white coat freezes at the entrance, not understanding what happened in the ward. "Nurse Amanda...?" The man calls again demanding an explanation with the look in his eyes. Standing to her feet she nods her head at me as she faces the man who was clearly are superior. I knew this was not her fault, there was something beyond the physical at play here.

"Sir!" I called out drawing their attention as they both glanced at me, the woman looked at me with a resigned expression on her face, already accepting her fate. "She was here for me," I stated not lying at all, "and she fell the syringe on the ground!". Looking from me to the woman, the man in white coat was clearly not satisfied with my answer. "That doesn't explain why nurse Amanda is in tears, or were you passionate about your duties?" The man chuckles slightly, "anyway since our patient is satisfied all is well." The man said as he glanced at me before walking out from the ward.

"Thank you!" The woman says as she picks the syringe from the floor before leaving the room.

"Someone wants to kill me" I said to myself, I knew that wretched serpent would have something to do with it. And my ignorance was another thing added to my list of problems, everything was confusing. Why did I see that vision before it happened and why now, I am already free from the clutches of the underworld but I still feel the wheels and machinations of the underworld turning and cooking something destructive against me.

I let out a soft smile, if I could beat you once I would beat you againeed, I thought to myself remembering my experience in heaven and the one who is my father.
