Developing A Backbone
"No, we aren't making any deal with you. You attacked our lands, there are several fields that have major damage to them. Not the mention the loss of life on this unprovoked attack!" Ariel practically shouted into the phone and then calmed herself.
Malachi and his father gave raised eyebrows to each other. They didn't realize that Ariel had such a mean streak in her. Malachi felt a smile, feisty Ariel was exciting. The Standish lands had been attacked by Alectro, and several fields were damaged and destroyed which meant that a lot of their crop wasn't going to come in and that would hurt them money wise. Ariel continued talking on the phone.
"She isn't here at the moment and the person that you talk to about this is me." Ariel said calmly.
"Hello?" Malachi said as his phone went off too. It was Cameron on the other end.
