Chapter 2

Their appearance blew most people's mind. Dressed in suit, Each had a different colour. They had serious looks on them.

They sure knew the perfect appearance that blends with the event.

Indeed, anyone would believe they were serious minded business men.

They were five men in the building, including Ethan while two others were outside the building keeping watch.

Two of them held briefcase. These two wore glasses which had bug devices on them. They bounced towards where the auction was taking place. Though, they didn't avoid anyone who tried to talk to them.

Most people on their path pave way for them to pass through. They had to mingle not to look weird and suspicious.

Tyler got himself engrossed at the beautiful artifacts in display.

Two others joined him as they commented on how beautiful they were.

The place was rowdy and most people spoke of business which bored these men. Their eyes evaluated the place. It was best to know the situation at hand.

Uplifting music played in the background and some dancers appeared from nowhere to entertain the excited guests.

Waiters and waitresses were at every corner to serve the guests also.

A waiter who was passing by with a tray of champagne in glasses stopped and offered them some drinks.

The only person who took from his tray was Ethan to hide his nervousness. It was obvious and that was why his role was minimal.

His thoughts were on his son whom he wishes to get a glimpse of. How big he must have become. He glanced at the Rolex watch on his wrist.

The fake pair of Gucci shoes he wore made him tensed as he felt someone might notice it was fake. His nose was faint from the expensive perfumes it smelt.

How he wishes, he was this wealthy to take care of himself and family. To most people at this event, these men were wealthy as them.

Every outfit on them were stole from classic boutique clothing a distance from the restaurant. He couldn't believe he was a part of this shenanigans.

Tyler glanced at him as he gulps the Champaign at once and he returned the empty glass back to the waiter's tray.

He adjusts his collar cleared his throat and rolled his eyes accidentally to the balcony. He was trying to avoid Tyler's mockery glare.

There his eyes met her. His nightmare. She was alluring yet dangerous.

Rachel choose a soft, penciled blue gown, that pressed softly against her body, emphasizing her generous curves.

Just the right size to show off her perfectly long legs through the slits on the dress. She wore her face naked, and her hair down.

The Victoria's secret perfume she dabbed on her throat and wrists actually helped her feel even more confident and sexy.

Her lips wore no smiles and he sensed she was looking for someone.

He could tell himself, she was the reason he was there. Ethan wouldn't lie, the love he once had for her was replaced with betrayal and loathe.

The event was organized by her supposed husband who was nowhere to be seen yet.

A little while he appeared behind Rachel on the balcony and kissed her on the cheek.

Ethan swallows hard as he adjusted his tie, he was triggered by how romantic he was acting towards her.

He folded his fist, gnashed his teeth and scoffed unbelievably.

His eyes searched for a child around the balcony but there was none.

Ethan tried not to think anything negative. He glanced at his forever ready team and began to think about everyone's role.

Rodger was the The Pointman - the planner, strategist, team leader, and the Jack of All Trades. He was the mastermind.

The man in the middle.

Tyler was The Faceman - the team experienced Grifter, here for all their social engineering needs. He talk their way into this building.

Mike was The Infiltrator - the cat burglar or break-in artist. Basically, the conventional genre thief.

Lisa, was the Hacker - The electronics and demolitions specialist. She was in the van that convey them. Overseeing stuff remotely.

Spencer and Bruce were the Muscle of this team - The ones who were good at fighting. They were once with mercenary and special forces.

The Wheelman was paul- The one who handles the getaway. He was an often overlooked transport specialist.

He wasn't just good at driving but skilled at getting lots of people around, figuring out how to move the valuables, and exiting hostile cities or countries undetected.

Lisa had already snuck her way inside with a cell phone. She sat somewhere in the lobby of the building with an unsecured wireless network and crack the security.

Everyone was falling in place and as for Ethan, he was lost. After all, he wasn't doing much in this place.

He was just there to represent the team at the auction center while they handle their crime.

Soon the host gathered everyone around to a hall. The guest took their seat, intrigued for the next agenda on the program for the day.

While the gentlemen of high ways part ways to devise their plan.

They were after a treasure box kept in a highly secured vault. This vault was located in a secret room in the basement.

Heavily guarded by 4 military personnels. Ethan sure wasn't concerned about that. These criminals knew their way.

He had anger in his eyes as he watches Gary place his hand around Rachel waist he felt like burning Gary right that moment.

Tyler noticed he had been staring at Rachel and Gary, his assumption was that perhaps, she was the one.

The reason he wanted to end his life. Tyler had to beckon on him to leave for his position.

Ethan never told him the name of his wife but only the tale that she had walked out on him with their child and married someone wealthy.

He was to sit in the hall and compete with other bidders until he gets the notification.

They communicated through a micro earpieces and everyone was active and sensitive except Ethan.

He folded his lips, waiting patiently to leave that place because he was rilled with anger.

His eyes scrowl at all the crazy rich folk from around the country. He felt intimidated despite disguising as one.

Gary walked Rachel down the hall way. They took their seat adjacent Ethan who tried to hide his face from being recognized.

The host began the first auction and the competition began.

Rachel was one who evaluates her environment properly and she was curious to the know the man adjacent her.

The highest was Gary and Ethan disgusted, he rose his hand and named his price. Gary took a glimpse at Ethan and scoffs.

At first, Rachel wasn't interested in knowing who spoke. The host kept bringing more artifacts and Ethan was always taking the treasures.

It made others curious and cheering up for him. Though, he hadn't remit the payment.

Rachel let out a wry smile as her husband didn't seem bothered. His eyes were searching for someone.

Gary swallows hard as his phone chimes, a message pops up on the screen.

His facial expression proves it was an exciting message.

He let out a devious smile and suddenly texted;

"It's game over, end him"
